Trying to Get Pregnant

Weight Gain Anxiety

I'm currently working with my RE to get pregnant with our second. My first is 6, so I don't want to wait any longer. However, I am just so unhappy with my weight, and am having serious worries that I will be miserable gaining more weight during a pregnancy. Now I know it's all worth it, and a baby is just so wonderful and I shouldn't be preoccupied by this, but I'm stressing. I'm currently about 5'3/5'4 and around 150/155. When I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter I only weighed about 130, so I'm a lot bigger now...and not pregnant yet. I exercise at least 5 days a week, and try to eat healthy, but have my moments. I'm hoping I can gain only about 25 lbs and drop it quick and then some.....anyone have any success stories or experiences that can help me feel a little less stressed?!! Thanks ladies!!!

@labbylover Hey! One-off posts like this are discouraged because we have an organized board with threads based on certain topics. Also, some women on this board have not been pregnant before so they wouldn’t be able to provide success stories. Mentioning of children usually is only in the Newbie thread and TFAS thread - otherwise will need to be noted as TW (trigger warning). In regards to weight I would most likely start with metabolic and thyroid testing to see if you have any underlying issues and then following a diet and tracking calories to see if you’re in a deficit. I personally was told by my doctor that I would have issues getting pregnant because of some health issues where getting my thyroid, hormones, etc in check. I’ve lost almost 40 lbs since January with hard work in the gym and in the kitchen. Where there’s a will there’s a way!

    edit: words.

  • @labbylover As PP said, we don’t really do one off posts here. Please intro and join us in TFAS. A lot of us here are working on weight loss.
