  • QOTW: Favorite pair of shoes and why?
I have a number of boots that I like because I walk a bit heavy so on tile or wood I, as I say, walk with authority 😂

Nothing new still for me this week. Pill 18 of BC is on Wednesday, then I start that back up again on the 8th. SHG to follow and starting stims for IVF 🙂 on the plus side it looks like my RE has me using generic versions of the meds so I think our costs will be fairly reasonable!

  • @inthewoods23 Moving right along! Awesome to hear about the meds.

AFM: Went in for my first US after Clomid, and was told to come back in Friday for another scan. Weirded out a little, because they usually have me coming in every other day, but grateful to not have to pay for three US this week.

QOTW: My running shoes. I would go MAD without them, especially with all of this TTC.

  • @chiblackhawkie sounds like things are moving along nicely for you  :)

I got the call from the online pharmacy about my meds today and for a moment she's telling me I'm paying OOP, that my prescription insurance doesn't cover the IVF meds (but does for oral tablets, etc. those kinds of meds). I told her I've done the "price a medication" online and it says it's covered so I don't understand what she's talking about and don't think she's right. She moved my order into their insurance group to look into it and thankfully she called back within a few minutes to tell me that I do have coverage, but I specifically have to go through Freedom Pharmacy instead of them. Totally fine with me! lol As long as it doesn't hurt my wallet too much!

  • @inthewoods23 - glad to hear you were able to get things sorted out with your pharmacy and that pushing back a little made the pharmacist check again! We really do need to be our own advocates to get things done/get things we want, don’t we?

I also can relate with the boots comment. Wearing a pair of shoes that give you that authority, I-mean-business clicking sound as you walk just feels great lol!

@chiblackhawkie - it’s nice that you don’t have to go in as much this week for an US, but I know what you mean when the clinic changes something with supposedly no reason why. Definitely can throw me off.

AFM: AF arrived yesterday. I have my first US next Friday at 7:30am. Although it’s first come, first serve basis, so the nurse I was talking to was saying to arrive at least a half hour early because there is usually a line of women waiting to get in for their US. So will be an early morning for me next week lol. I wonder if that’s the norm at other clinics? I’m also just doing Letrozole and OPKs for this IUI cycle and no trigger shot as the OPKs worked very reliably for me on Letrozole, so we’ll see how that works out. Just excited to finally get started with this!

QOTW: I have a pair of fall/spring lace up boots that I love and will probably wear into the ground. They’re just so comfortable and really good for any type of weather.
  • I dropped the ball and haven't been checking in after my intro sorry...

QOTW: Favorite pair of shoes and why?
I love a good pair of Nike tennis shoes.  I just think they're comfy, plus I'm fairly active.

Today is CD19, I went to an obgyn this time who prescribed Femara.  1st cycle with it and first cycle on meds without seeing an RE. I'm used to getting Ultrasounds to see my follicles and confirm ovulation so this is different., a little nice feels more like doing it on our own. But I'm a little confused and not sure what day I actually ovulated on so I'm a little frustrated not knowing how many dpo I am. Other than that I think this went well this month... fingers crossed!

  • @inthewoods23 Dang! It's great you had her double check. That could have really broken the bank.

@sincethelastday Interesting on the line concept... They've always scheduled appointments for US at the clinic I goto. Fingers crossed for a 'fruitful' cycle.

@blackrose-9 Good luck! Did you ever feel cramping around when your projected ovulation time was? That's usually my body's way of telling me it happened (while I've been on medicine, anyway).

AFM: Just got the thumbs up from this morning's US, there's apparently several follicles ready to go. Taking trigger shot 1:30am Sunday and then going in at 1:30pm Monday.

I don't think I've ever had multiple follicles before.. Praying it's a sign for different results this time haha (buuut also not letting myself get my hopes up)
  • @chiblackhawkie no, I normally don't though. I took a digital OPK and got a flashing smiley at 1030 on night then the next morning and night but ran out of digital so didnt get my solid peak smiley. I switch to a regular opk and got a neg. Then the next day a positive again but then that was it. I know the digital do 4 most fertile days and the other only 2, but the day I got my first smiley I had a temp drop and then it raised after that so it's got me a little confused.
