It seems like many of us have been having a stressful week. Feel free to share something happy/funny/relaxing that's happened, or something you're thankful for!
Yay positivity! (For the record, I'm all about venting! Just figured this could be nice!)
I have been thinking a Positive Polly thread would be nice so thank you @chillycanadian !!!
I’m thankful for my husband. Last night I started getting kind of down while I was unloading the dishwasher. I’m not really sure why ... but I had my back to him and I could just feel the tears welling up in my eyes and I stopped what I was doing and had my head down for a minute. He comes up behind me, put his arms around me and then started tickling me and playing until I was laughing-like really laughing. All my down feelings vanished and it was so nice to just laugh with him. I was really grateful for that. I needed it. I’m not sure how he knew but he did and just that minute in time put everything right with the world again
Aww I'm so glad he knew exactly what you needed!! ❤️
I was also very proud of my husband this week. While he was driving, they saw a woman about to jump off a bridge. Threw it in park and he went running, wrapping his arms around her, literally as she was letting go. Held on until police got there. Not every day that happens!
@chillycanadian Wow what a great story!! I’m glad he was there. Hopeful that woman’s story is able to turn around for the better.
DD wore panties all day at school today and only had one accident during naptime. When we got home, I asked her if she needed to pee again, which of course she said no, but I asked her to sit down anyways and she peed!!! It’s the first time she’s peed on the potty at home and I never thought something like that would get me so excited!!

@MollyH1987 I'm constantly saying that if you had told me pre-parenthood the things that would make me happy, I would look at you like your crazy. But going to the potty at home is amazing. Congrats! @chillycanadian I think it's great your keeping us positive, I will share a funny story, and something I'm thankful for.
We were at my parents for the holiday, also present were my Sis, BIL, and Bro. One night at the dinner table the conversation somehow turned to woman who find out they are pregnant when they are in labor, and how improbable that is. My sister said something along the line of "I know there are woman who are very irregular, some of my friends..." at which point my brother (who is single) broke in and said "You talk about this stuff with your friends?", I couldn't stop laughing, (which was probably a combination of it being 9pm, and me being pregnant). I turned to DH, and said "If he can ask that question having been raised with sisters, I'm starting to understand, just how clueless you can be."
Anyway, I think there are some things that we take for granted, and I am thankful that I have friends I am close with, that I can talk about personal stuff with, and I am thankful for this forum, where I'm making friends I can talk about all sorts of stuff with.
@emqbee@chillycanadian Right there with you ladies on the husband end. He was sick and running a temperature yesterday, feeling absolutely terrible. Yet, he offered to give me a foot rub and massage to make me feel better. I of course said no, didn't want to get sick in turn. I think I should cash in on that offer this weekend soon as he feels better.
I am thankful that DH held down the fort at home with the kids while I was out of town for 2 days. Things may have not been done my way, but everyone managed just fine.
I am thankful for a big extended family who are always good for a laugh. My grandma's funeral was yesterday and it was much easier thanks to all of my cousins.

@chillycanadian thanks! She had alzheimers and was in hospice since November so it was a long time coming. I actually was not very close to her and worried I would not show enough emotion at her funeral. Then my pregnancy hormones were like, "Giiiiirl, we got you!"

@chillycanadian Wow, that's amazing. I feel like not many people would do something like that. I hope that woman is able to get her life back on track.
@Allycat11 So sorry to hear about your grandmother!
I guess this is somewhat turning into the DH appreciation thread, because I'm super thankful that DH has been so supportive through this whole pregnancy. It's not even that he goes out of his way to do anything particularly nice, more that he accommodates my changing needs without complaint. In the first trimester he picked up so much of my slack around the house when I was so out of it from morning sickness. And he is REALLY great with dealing with my anxiety issues that have cropped up or intensified due to pregnancy, and helping me get through them. I feel so lucky to have such an understanding partner.
