Upcoming Appointments: Thurs for regular OB appointment

How are you feeling?: good - slept pretty well last night

    Rants/Raves:

Questions: For those who have had their GD test, is it a separate appointment that you need to schedule, or do they include it in a regular monthly check-in? I have my monthly check in on Thurs and she hasn't mentioned the glucose test, so I'm not sure if they'll have me do it when I go in.

GTKY: favourite fruit? @BigBadWolf12 and @newmamakt - I've also been really in fruit lately, especially mango and pineapple

@heml I live in nursing bras. I like layering a nursing tank under regular t shirts so the tshirt comes up and the top of the tank unclips down. I like my belly covered.

    Boy

Baby is the size of a(n):
    Cauliflower

    Upcoming Appointments:
May 3 for follow-ups with both perinatal specialist and regular OB, and one hour glucose test.

    How are you feeling?:
Starting to feel just plain uncomfortable.

    Rants/Raves:
I got really irritated at my in-laws house this weekend. Pretty sure it was just hormones, but MIL was more concerned about DD not eating leaves and dirt than with her stepping in an ant pile, and it really just got under my skin. She'll also be worried about me carrying DD's diaper bag while pregnant but carrying the 16 month old is just fine for me to do. I don't have any real issues with her, she just annoys the living hell out of me sometimes.

Also, I had an ultrasound on Friday to look at LO's heart since kids with Down syndrome have a higher chance of heart problems. The doctor said he has thick heart walls, so now I get to go to a pediatric cardiologist for a better look. My mom said that there is a history of thick heart walls on both sides of my family (my dad and also my maternal grandfather) so I'm hoping its hereditary, not related to Down syndrome. Doc said otherwise, his heart is structurally normal and operating like it should.

    Questions:
Has anyone attended a 'sip and see' as opposed to a baby shower? I was talking with my mom and SIL this weekend about having a sip and see a few weeks after the baby is born. I think I like that idea better than a baby shower (no measuring my belly yay!).

    GTKY: favourite fruit?
    Mandarin oranges

@sw1122 They gave me the glucola at the last appt and told me to drink it on the way to my next regular appt

@hillaryo14 If you don’t want a shower, I feel like a sip and see is a super fun alternative. We’re doing a co-Ed fiesta baby shower. No games, just food & margaritas and hanging out.

@heml Before my first was due I purchased 2 nursing bras and 3 nursing tanks.  It was the perfect amount to start with because I didn't know how successful breastfeeding would be.  As time went on I purchased a few other shirts and dresses that were nursing friendly.  I'd just get some basics to start with and you'll see what you like and what works for you.

@hillaryo14 I have never been to one, but I love the idea!

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 25+4 8/3

    Boy/Girl/finding out later? Girl

Baby is the size of a(n): Prairie Dog

Upcoming Appointments: 5/14 regular appt and GTT

How are you feeling?: Good! I had an asthma scare earlier this week, but I'm recovering well. My biggest stressor has been all of the things getting in the way of me staying active, but I keep reminding myself all I can do is my best.

Rants/Raves: I booked a newborn photographer! She is actually a neighbor and will do a lifestyle shoot as opposed to the studio session we did with my daughter.  I like the idea of it being a little more laid back this time and not trying to get everyone out of the house to a studio.

    Questions:

GTKY: favourite fruit   I love pineapple
