Baby is the size of a(n): acorn or butternut squash

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): Pink

    Upcoming Appointments: Next week

How are you feeling?: Swamp hag-like, bloated ugly, and fat. And my goodness! Girl has got some bony ass elbows or knees. She rolled at one point yesterday all slow and there was a pointing part jammed into my belly button for a full minute!

Rants/Raves:  I am horny dammit!!!! And cranky, and I want to have sex with my DH but he has been coming to bed way late playing his stupid video game and has not touched me in weeks. Cue my cranky face. >:(

    Questions: none right now.

GTKY:  What baby gear are you looking forward to using the most? Second the baby wearing. I do not have anything to baby wear with yet, but I am still hopeful.

  • @vanillalatte89 sex has been uncomfortable since about 20 weeks so we haven’t been having it! I just can’t find a position that makes it worth it. It was the same with my last pregnancy so my husband isn’t shocked and he’s handling it as well as you’d expect 😂

@key3, I was just having similar thoughts re baby movements today.  It was really pretty amazing to feel at first, but she is getting violent in there lately, today especially.  Thankfully it’s not really what I’d call painful for me at this point, but it can definitely be uncomfortable and distracting.  Hope your lingering flu symptoms disappear soon.

@vanillalatte89, tbh I haven’t been much in the mood since BFP.  First trimester, I felt terrible all the time.  Second trimester I was going through some major life changes in addition to the one growing inside me and was too busy and stressed.  And now I just feel large and gross, not to mention that H is living 1000 miles away for another few weeks anyway.  I feel really bad thinking about the number of times it’s actually happened since we’ve known.

@hoodevil0611 - Thanks, I'm so over being sick this pregnancy. My other two kids have given me everything they bring home from school. This little one has lodged herself in spots under my ribs and has sent some shooting pains over the last week.

Baby is the size of a(n): half of a large cheesecake from cheesecake factory

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue

    Upcoming Appointments: yesterday

How are you feeling?: I'm good, just the usual aches and pains. The whole sciatica thing isn't fun.

Rants/Raves: I'm ranting this week, my emotions are beyond high, my job/commute are miserable, and DH has issues with apologizing. At this stage him not apologizing over something very small becomes something HUGE to the point where I get so worked up and emotional I'm vomiting from it. I finally told him enough is enough and if he can't figure out how to say I'm sorry like an adult he can bunk at his mother's until this baby comes cause I can't have the stress. So yea I'm just a wreck

    Questions:

GTKY:  What baby gear are you looking forward to using the most? Oh this is a toughie for a FTM I feel like what I answer with I will probably end up hating the most ha! I like all of your baby wearing, hopefully I really do enjoy it!

@indulgentgypsy I thought of you yesterday - so I had been piling and piling on the weight and had no idea how it was happening in such large quantities and that's when I switched to the fuck 'em give me a milkshake lifestyle. WELL don't you know yesterday I found out I only gained 1 lb since my last appt and I mean this is after I said I give up the weight is coming anyway and I have to pass the ice cream parlor on my way home from work so if you can't beat them join them! I hope you are loving yourself and enjoying what you want when you want!

@gbud360 I need to embrace, but I am not doing that right now. I am trying to transition to the keto diet I had planned to get back to post partum now. I don't know how long that is going to work right now... I'm hungry and cranky. But instead of gaining another 5lbs this week I have been holding steady at 283. If I could just hold to 1 0-1lb gain every week from now until the end (9 weeks from today) I would be "ok" with my overall gain. 55lbs is better than 70 or 80, and is slightly better than 60.
  • @indulgentgypsy embrace it! I feel like the stress of weight gain somehow added to my weight gain if that makes any sense. I hope it starts slowing down for you so you relax and enjoy yourself more! Oh wow, I give you a ton of credit I could not do keto pregnant at all! A girlfriend of mine just started the blood type diet and loves it, that may be a good option for you - it's less diet-y and more these foods are good for your type and these you should avoid. You got this girl, just remember you are fabulous and that aint nothing but a number.

Baby is the size of a(n): Melted wheel of brie wrapped in pastry I think...

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): Pink

    Upcoming Appointments: May 9th

How are you feeling?: Terrible. My blood pressure has dropped more so I'm dizzy all the time. I'm back to throwing up daily and constant nausea. And I threw my back out just trying to get off the floor yesterday. And the fatigue! But I'm so so happy that baby is moving and growing and generally doing well so I am ignoring the feeling terrible part as much as possible:)

Rants/Raves:  My doctor took one look at me at my appointment last week and wrote me off on sick leave. I wanted to come back in for 3 more days to get things sorted but I'm off work starting Friday. I'm hoping I can take the time before baby gets here to get a bit of my strength back:/

    Questions:

GTKY: My Ergo and my new stroller/bassinet/car seat. Basically everything new that I purchased:)

  • @mama_bear19 Yes. Mostly that my milk won't come in again and I don't know that I have the will power to do what I did last time. At least not to the same extent. I am prepared to supplement right from day 1 buy am hoping my milk actually comes in within a week.

@vanillalatte89 Ha. Yep. Honestly with SO living in a different city it's not something I have to worry about;)
  • @gbud630 I've looked at the blood type before, but it always seems to recommend more fish (blech! hate fish with very very few exceptions, and I can't afford to eat shrimp every day) and less red meat (I have issues with chicken and pork, and low iron, so red meat is my #1 protein). I'm being more low carby than keto right now. Eating an omelet with cheese and pepperoni for lunch, with a side of celery and peanut butter.
  • @Panaceia I hope your milk comes in! I didn’t have issues with that last time so hopefully I won’t this time either.  I might be shying away from a vbac after having to sign the risk form from the dr. Idk if a scheduled c section will impact my milk coming in.
  • @mama_bear19 my scheduled c-section did not affect my milks ability to come in. YDS was nursing by 2 hours post partum.
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: July 2/ 30 weeks today!

Baby is the size of a(n): zucchini

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue 💙

Upcoming Appointments: Thursday for regular OB appointment.

How are you feeling?: REALLY bad indigestion the last few days. Every time I eat I feel like I can’t move and am so full. I know it’s only going to get worse. I’ve been eating so many tums

Rants/Raves:  my MIL is driving me nuts! We saw them over the weekend for the holiday and she said about 57,000 times “let me know when that baby moves I want to feel him” and then wouldn’t leave my side. I literally had to cover my stomach and hide behind my dog so she wouldn’t touch me. I don’t mind my stomach being touched but she does it ALL the time! And doesn’t ask before she just grabs me. What makes it ok to just randomly touch a pregnant woman?! I’m going to just start grabbing her stomach and see if she likes it 🙄 she is also planning a baby shower for me along with my mom. She texts and calls me about every little thing. She calls my mom about every little thing. My mom said she ignores her calls sometimes because she just can’t deal with her in the moment lol welcome to my life. I love her, she just needs to back off a little

Questions: I don’t think I have any this week

GTKY:  What baby gear are you looking forward to using the most?

Oh man! Being a FTM, everything but I’ll jump on the baby wearing train! I really hope I like it and the baby does too because I just always love seeing mom wear baby’s everywhere and I can’t wait for that!

  • @sarahtram2018 sounds like my MIL, she has so many boundary issues which just got worse after our DD arrived. Unfortunately we’ve had to set some super firm boundaries with her because she’s been pretty crazy - once when DD was a baby I heard her referring to herself as “mommy” to my daughter when she thought no one was listening.

Hopefully your MIL is just excited about being a grandma and cools it before she really crosses a boundary with your or your SO! If she goes full on crazy at any point I’m around to commiserate with 😂
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: Hi! I don’t remember. I’m 29.5 weeks and delivering July 5th.

Baby is the size of a(n): acorn squash?

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): Pink

Upcoming Appointments: Placenta check u/s next week

How are you feeling?: Up and down. I have a good day and then a bad one. Light headed and dizzy all the time! And exhausted. I am 9 weeks away and ready to be done!

Rants/Raves:  So.... I run a large initiative at my company. And no one else there has the knowledge and experience I do. I think my team is gonna have a tough time. THEY are great. But no one seems like a good candidate to step in here... to help guide and answer questions. I’m trying to fill the pipeline so they just have to execute while I’m gone. But it’s stressful....

    Questions: None.

GTKY:  What baby gear are you looking forward to using the most? Hmm. I dunno.

  • @mrscammack oh my MIL has HUGE boundary issues! Regardless of baby or not. They live in jersey now which is helpful because they are 4 hours away but are in the process to move near us and my brother in laws family 🤦🏻‍♀️ The problem is my husband doesn’t see any issues with it. Luckily my husbands brother’s wife is on the same page so the 2 of us have each other to vent to haha But I’m really nervous for when the baby gets here because I have no shame and with crazy hormones and trying to figure out the whole mom thing I know a freak out is inevitable lol.
Oh and I would have lost it if I heard her saying she was mommy! That is NOT ok! 😡🙅🏻‍♀️
I appreciate anybody willing to listen lol but I’m sorry you have to deal with the same type of thing! Lol
  • @sarahtram2018 having your sister in law on your side is definitely helpful!
  • @indulgentgypsy I'm so glad to hear that you had no issues with your milk coming in after a scheduled CS. I had so many problems after my ECS that I've been mentally preparing myself for the same issues. Hopefully a scheduled CS will mean my milk will come in sooner.
  • @mama_bear19 I totally understand wavering from VBAC. I'm too big of a scardey cat to take the risks but I admire people who do. Maybe if I was younger. But I like feeling like I have some control with a scheduled CS and feel like they have more immediate safety measures in place with a RCS. Yep. Anxious and paranoid over here:)
  • @mrscammack I recently had a bunch of hair loss and they checked my thyroid... apparently it’s functioning fine, but I was worried I was going to have to take some kind of thyroid meds.

@pizzaplz I’m so sorry about the news... Dr Google is not your friend. Trust what the OB says and just go from there. The baby will be perfect in its own way!

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 29+3. Due 7/7.

Baby is the size of a(n): acorn squash or pineapple

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): 💙

Upcoming Appointments: next appt is 5/13 for the bi-weekly visits.

How are you feeling?: like shit. SI and SPD pain is really taking a toll on me. Not to mention my work is overworking me- or at least I think it is.

Rants/Raves:  rant: I failed my 1 hr GD test, most likely because I had coffee and a breakfast sandwich before the test. So tmrw I have to do the 3 hour test, and then go straight to my dentist appt. I’m not looking forward to being at the hospital at 730. I am barely up at that hour. :(

Questions: anyone else haha extreme hair loss right now? Like PP level hair loss? I’m freaking out that it could be something, but my thyroid was fine when they checked.

GTKY:  What baby gear are you looking forward to using the most?

I miss my Tula so much! I’ve been able to back carry DD, but I can’t get her on it by myself. So it’ll be nice to carry the babies again on my front when the belly is no more!

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: July 3rd, 30 weeks today

Baby is the size of a(n): zucchini

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue

Upcoming Appointments: GD today, sono and routine check next week

How are you feeling?: I’m ok, been in a depression funk lately and will be talking to my ob about possible solutions.

Rants/Raves:  I’m having trouble regulating my GD this time around. I’ve limited carbs, increased my exercise routine to 2x a day, cut sweet drinks. Specialist told me to keep doing what I’m doing, most likely we’ll be increasing my insulin throughout the day. I wanted to avoid that but if I need to then I need to. It’s all about a healthy momma and baby.

Also, the pelvic pressure is unreal!!! Like oh my god I don’t remember it being this bad with my other pregnancies, even with my twins.

Plus side only a few more days until hubby and I leave for vacation. I’ve been given the clear to go and enjoy myself. I’m so excited for it.

Questions: what are somethings you ladies have found that helped with the pelvic pain? I’ve done walks and stretches that seem to help a little bit, as well as epsom salt baths my ob recommended.

GTKY:  What baby gear are you looking forward to using the most? I purchased a new baby sling to baby wear. I loved baby wearing my other boys, it definitely made things easier.

  • @hellmanpartyof5 to relieve my pelvic pressure I’ve been wearing the belly band. I guess it may relieve more of the pain than the pressure, but it helps take something away!
