What healthy habit/s are you working on? Eating better, working out more, get more sleep.
How's it going? Good! The last FighterDiet challenge ended last Wednesday and the new one starts this Wednesday so I'm excited that there wasn't too much time in between!
What’s a “small win” you have from last week? Just making smarter food choices because everything in me wanted to go off the rails!
GTKY: What sport/s did you play/try out for as a kid? I was in tumbling when I was a kid and then in school I was briefly a cheerleader and then just did track.
@brookert615 I'm so impressed with how well you've been doing. Great job staying consistent!
What healthy habit/s are you working on? Smaller portions and increased exercise. I've gotten way off track with my gym/running routine.
How's it going? Okay. I've been off track because my back was bugging me and I stopped running. I plan to run today and have a healthy lunch. I'm feeling pretty motivated to eat healthy this week, too.
What’s a “small win” you have from last week? I worked out with my trainer and she really helped with my sciatica. She's amazing.
GTKY: What sport/s did you play/try out for as a kid? Soccer for years. I started in elementary school and played all through high school.
@ruby696 Thank you so much! Enjoy your run and your lunch today! I feel like the warm weather is super helpful in the motivation, too! So happy your trailer is helping with your sciatica!
@ruby696- Glad you could get some help with your back
What healthy habit/s are you working on? drinking more water, exercising more, and cutting out sweets
How's it going? No sweets (except on cheat days)- good , Drinking water- it could use some improvement. Exercise- I'm really hoping I can keep up what I did last week.
What’s a “small win” you have from last week? I made it to the gym 5 times last week. I also did one evening of walking on the somewhat working treadmill we have. I also started lifting weights again last week.
GTKY: What sport/s did you play/try out for as a kid? track & field (sprints, shot put, and discus) and cross country in high school
@ruby696 That's awesome your trainer was able to help you find relief. And motivation is so important, so go with it and try your best to stay active! Even if running ends up hurting your back then just slow it down to a jog or a walk. That way you're still staying active!
What healthy habit/s are you working on? The typical - keeping up with exercising at least 5 days a week and making positive eating choices.
How's it going? Really great! I'm finally back on track! MH and I did 2 weeks (monday-friday) of juicing and while there were some tough moments I felt great after cutting out a lot of the bloat that was building up. We are doing a bit of juicing this week too but a bit more relaxed. So I'm going to keep up with good and healthy food choices for when I'm not juicing.
What’s a “small win” you have from last week? Down 5 lbs in the 2 weeks of juicing! Exercise is going great too, I'm finally seeing some more tone and definition, so that's big motivation for me to keep going! I didn't get any workouts in over the weekend though due to the stomach bug one day and then hours of yard work yesterday (although, that counts as a major workout in my book!)
GTKY: What sport/s did you play/try out for as a kid? I've danced my whole life, starting at age 4 and when I was in middle school my love for it grew so I ended up being at the dance studio Monday-Friday 5:30-9:30 just about every night. I also did the school musicals starting in middle school and all the way through high school, so rehearsals were 3-5 and then I was on my way to dance. I danced and did theatre all through college too.. and now I get to share my love of dance through teaching 3-6 year olds ballet and tap (my personal favorite)!
I did try basketball in middle school though, my dad told me I should just stick to dancing.... so I guess I wasn't that good at it!

@brookert615 I agreee about the warm weather making it easier to work out!
@ruby696 Here to support you in your healthy choices this week! Let us know what you got for lunch today!
@spacemountaineer Do you keep track of how much water you drink & if so how so? 5x/week to the gym is AWESOME.
@kpearse99 I like that you're keeping up w/ the juicing but not as strictly as you did last week--that makes so much sense as does supplementing with other healthy food choices.
*What healthy habit/s are you working on? Getting back into yoga ("getting back" bc I didn't do it when I was in PDX for that conference, & whenever I miss a week, it's always hard to get back into the habit!) Drinking enough water. Going BPA-/toxins-free & organic.
*How's it going? Sort of at a standstill w/ the BPA/toxins-free stuff, but have a list of things I can work on this week. I've been pretty good at the water! I have a 48 oz. bottle I fill up every day & as long as I start early, I can usually get through it or at least ALMOST thru it. As for the yoga. this is my week to REALLY get back into it--I did it yesterday & plan to again today!
*What’s a “small win” you have from last week? Reaching my water goal twice, which isn't much, but "small" win it says. Hoping this post/thread will help motivate me so I have some bigger small wins next week.
*GTKY: What sport/s did you play/try out for as a kid? I played softball for like 1 year in 6th grade, but that's itttt. I caught a fly ball once? And hit a double once? but otherwise was not very good
What healthy habit/s are you working on? Trying to eat even better, going to the gym, more hiking.
How's it going? I must admit that I slipped up this weekend and indulged in some unhealthy foods (dairy free ice cream sandwiches, homemade pizza, and a homemade hamburger). Other than that, I'm doing pretty good with being more active and going to the gym at least two days a week for cardio.
What’s a “small win” you have from last week? Made it to the gym twice. Also went for two big hikes and stayed active in general.
GTKY: What sport/s did you play/try out for as a kid? Volleyball in middle school. I was one of the best setters (and team captain for one year )
Me: 38 DH:38. Dating Anniversary: 1999. Marriage Anniversary: 2001. TTC #1 since 3/2019
I'm hit and miss about recording my intake. I do like that you can set up reminders. My goal is three 25 oz water bottles a day. So I just count the water bottles I drink if I dont record it.
@kagesstarshroom I have an Asian Chicken Salad that is zero points except for the Miso Ginger dressing, which is low fat. And I also found this albacore (pic in spoiler) which I have for a snack, and some lemon to go with. Lots of protein and Omega 3's.
@brookert615 The key for me is to put on my yoga clothes as soon as I wake up and then not shower until I do the work! Though sometimes that means I am just in yoga clothes all day lol. Worked yesterday and today though!
@spacemountaineer I used to keep track of it via this cute insert I'd paste into my planner every week, then that AND my phone (my Capricorn moon knows no bounds) then back to that--now I just have it as a check, and I have one 48 oz bottle I try to drink every day. I used to aim closer to your goal (62 oz to your 75 oz) but I barely ever made it, so now I aim for 48 oz and if I go over, so be it. Hopefully I can get so used to doing 48 oz that I can add like an additional half of that too to my goal.
@kagesstarshroom I think it's good to know your own limits and what is a goal you know you can achieve, versus always setting one you know you'll never get to (drinking 48oz of water a day instead of 75oz) And great job doing yoga yesterday and today!!

I finally went on a run and it felt so good. Only 2.5 miles and definitely not my best time, but I feel like I've crossed a major hurdle and can be more consistent now.
What healthy habit/s are you working on? WW and getting more active.
How's it going? I didn't lose or gain last week, but I'll take it. Still down 35 lbs since June.
What’s a “small win” you have from last week? I got 13k steps Saturday between the zoo and doing stuff around the house. I'm also participating in a hydration challenge at work and tracking my water intake. I'm averaging 80 oz a day, so that's good! I plan to go to Cyclebar this morning, and hopefully try my first Shine Dance Fitness routine online at home sometime this week.
GTKY: What sport/s did you play/try out for as a kid? I was a dancer for 13 years, competing on my school teams and an all-star team. I played softball for two years and tennis in high school, but dance was always my strength. I miss it!
@MrsVP614 WOW! 35 lbs is a dramatic amount of weight! Congratulations!
So, I've decided to buckle down and throw out the remaining processed/refined carbs in my house (such a temptation). I'm going to attempt to eat only complex carbs like wild rice, sweet potatoes, legumes, fruits/veg, and oatmeal. I AM going to keep raw honey around (a simple carb) as it helps me tremendously with upper digestive issues and asthma.
I have cardio this afternoon, so I'll probably be doing some elliptical at the gym. If I have any remaining energy, I might do some upper body-focused yoga this afternoon.

@MrsVP614 I miss dance competitions so much! I lived for them when I was growing up! The studio I teach at now doesn't compete, so I don't get to experience them as a teacher, but I have a few friends that teach at other studios and they say the competition scene is soooo different than it used to be! What was your favorite/strong style?
@flowntheloop awesome job scheduling in your cardio for today! I totally failed at working out yesterday, although I did go on 3 walks... but then DH and I had a date night! Today I have a lot of running around to do on my lunch break but I'm going to get some strength building in this evening for sure... it's a must!

@flowntheloop Are you able to find specialty breads where you live? I love Food for Life's Ezekiel 4:9 bread and English muffins. It's flourless, made from sprouted grain and is a complete protein. It's in the freezer section at the store because it goes bad quickly (no preservatives). Pic in spoiler.
@kagesstarshroom & @kpearse99 - I agree knowing and keeping within your limits. My SIL drinks a gallon of water everyday. At the beginning that's what I aimed for. Then I dropped it down to 100 oz and that was still too much for me. I found that 75 oz helps me stay full enough to limit my snacking so that's why I stick with that number.
What healthy habit/s are you working on? BEING BETTER UGH- I’ve been in this funk for a long time. Working to eat healthier, drink more water, and get back in the gym more consistently.
How's it going? I haven’t been good at keeping up with everything- my goal for this “benched” time is to try and be healthier
What’s a “small win” you have from last week? I didn’t eat my feelings after the RE appointment! + did a cyclebar class and was 2nd (out of 8 lol)
GTKY: What sport/s did you play/try out for as a kid? I did gymnastics (terribly), tennis (also terribly), cross country/track (lol so bad at running), and swimming (was decent enough to do it throughout college)
@ruby696 Absolutely. Ezekiel breads are my favorite. I've been eating them over a decade. The cinnamon raisin english muffins are amazing. I also eat their sprouted tortillas!

@ruby696 I've never been a fan of storebought breads either. They are filled with so much junk (and they smell chemically to me)! I occasionally will get a fresh-baked whole seed bread from Whole Foods, but other than that I stick with sprouted breads. Gluten can definitely irritate my upper digestive tract, so I try to avoid anything unsprouted.

@kpearse99 My team won nationals through high school in pom, jazz and hip hop. Hip hop was probably my favorite then, but I loved tap when I was younger. That's awesome that you get to teach and keep up with your passion. The closest I get is dancing around the house or doing a dance fitness video.
@MrsVP614 I can NOT do hip hop to save my life!! It's comical for someone to have so much rhythm but have zero ability to do hip hop! What is pom?!

@kpearse99 I have somehow slept through my alarm every morning this week (I think there's a glitch with my phone or something because I'm a super light sleeper and the volume is up high)...sooooo not really, but I am doing better on eating healthy. Good job getting those nighttime workouts in!
I had a deadload week in between challenges but had a great first FD workout today! I still need to get some cardio in! I had a super filling smoothie this morning and about to make shrimp scampi but instead of zoodles using cauliflower rice! I love this diet lol. Pic in spoiler! 🤤

I was one of the best setters (and team captain for one year
)

I'm hit and miss about recording my intake. I do like that you can set up reminders. My goal is three 25 oz water bottles a day. So I just count the water bottles I drink if I dont record it.
@kagesstarshroom Getting back into a habit is so tough! Great job pushing yourself back in!

@ruby696 Yummmm.

@kpearse99 I was a dancer too
What healthy habit/s are you working on?
I miss it!

I haven't been able to get to the gym on my lunch breaks this week yet (going tomorrow and Friday though) but I have done my workouts at home in the evenings, not as much as I typically do but I've been getting home later this week. I plan on doing a few tonight too.
