ETA: the original plan was a half-day because I live about 30 min away and was going to do these things in that town. Current plan is doing it all in the town I work in, so it's a 1.5 mi drive there and then 1.5 mi drive back.

(And then in an hour, I'll have to start racing around to frantically complete the 6 hours of to do list, in a few hours before DH gets home haha.)
Plus...baby is dancing up a storm lately, and I feel I deserve to marvel and enjoy each little movement. (I hear I'll get to the point that I'm begging baby to chill out. But for now, I'm going to thoroughly enjoy the thing I never thought I would get to have!)
Also...I haven't showered since Wednesday night. (Which is crazy for me.) I'm glad I'm not alone in the no shower department haha

I hate that weight is made into such a big deal. I gained 40 with my first and my doctor was so so mean about it. Gained 40 with my second (started 15 pounds heavier than before) and that doctor didn't say a word. So far I've gained about 10 and my doctors office mentions the gain strength every single appointment. I am barely eating enough...but still gaining. It happens. We only have so much control honestly. Hormones And swelling play a huge part!
About a month ago I signed DS up for a parent tot sports sampler class at the Y on Friday mornings. I pulled him from it after 1 week because I missed our lazy Fridays and did not feel like chasing him around a semi structured environment. We were going to start a different sports sampler class next session (he will now be old enough for no parent) but none of the times are super convenient. He is doing soccer instead because it is the same time as DDs gymnastics class. Poor second child.
I really hate the amount of pressure put on women to only gain a certain amount during pregnancy. Some workout and eat well and gain 60+, others only gain 15 with no effort. When I saw a NP around 11 weeks she made a rude comment about how I was clearly eating because I gained 2 pounds in 1 week. As of Monday I am somehow only up 3 total (trust me, I have PLENTY to spare) and I have been sitting on the couch, eating whatever sounds good. With my other 2 I gained right around 30 total and imagine this one will probably be similar in the end.

I think as long as numbers (sugar, blood pressure, etc) stay in check - who cares. I mean, you don't want to put on triple digits, but ... some people just gain more. Especially the ones who started out thin. Thankfully, I have plenty of reserves and I'm still chilling where I am.
I have gotten on a schedule where I wash my hair on Wednesdays and Sundays, but shower every night. And I'm about to ask my housekeeper if we can move from a semi-monthly to a weekly schedule when I hit around 30 weeks because I just don't know what I'll be up for at that point.

I have been behind on laundry for the majority of the past few months. We had it covering our kitchen table for a few weeks so we were eating in the living room or at the island. About a week ago I got caught up on laundry and was so proud...clearly that did not last.

Last appointment the OB kept repeating "well you're such a big girl..." "You're such a big girl, we'll need a higher dose..."
And he says I'm a "big girl" at every appointment when he's taking my BP.
I've already gained about 10-15 lbs with this pregnancy so far. (Bed rest is not conducive to maintaining weight through regular exercise...)
I had to tell DH my weight the other day, and he was like "no way. Not possible. You don't look that!!" Which is nice of him to say.
Weight is a number, and we shouldn't be shamed for that number.
And while yes, I'm overweight and have been my whole life, I'm not THAT big. I'm 5'10 and a size 12. So yes, overweight, but the doc reeeeally doesn't need to keep calling me a "big girl"....
and by kind of, I mean a lot ragey.

Your weight gains are making me feel better. I dont' keep a home scale and according to my doctors scale I gained 7 lbs in 1 month. Thats with a full bladder and full clothed. I was really shocked to see a number that I've never seen in my life. I know I went into this pregnancy heavy (Looking at you Thanksgiving and Christmas), but the number had me reeling. I know the weight is temporary but I really don't want to gain that quickly.
With my second, I gained every pound in my second trimester. My doctor was much kinder about it but still brought it up a few times. I didnt gain a single pound in my third trimester so whatever. Our bodies are going to do what they want. Do your best to get through pregnancy, it’s hard enough without unnecessary criticism.
I have no idea how much I've gained. I lost several from the HG, and then jumped 8 in a month when I was able to start eating again. I really felt like I was starving after having trouble keeping anything down for so long, and I'm just not worrying about it.
After my first, I lost all the weight and some more I had to lose within a year, and was actually in better shape than pre-baby. So, I know I can lose it and get into healthy shape. Getting your muscles to recover from a c/section and pregnancy... significantly harder!
My FFFC is that I am averaging about 1-2x a month for shaving. My back hurts, and bending over sucks. Pants for life!
They also don't even do the glucose test here unless your blood sugar is high (which they measure regularly) or unless you've had it before/runs in the family. But no general population glucose test.
BFP #1 June 2016: EDD 16 March 2017, MC July 2016

Started IF testing Nov 2016
Spontaneous BFP #2 January 2017: Rainbow Baby Boy September 2017
BFP #3 November 2018: Baby #2 expected August 2019
Also, like @BigBadWolf12, they don’t do the glucose test here unless those same reasons. I have to do it because I’m indian origins so higher chance and my sister has diabetes. But my sugar has always been fine so without those two, I wouldn’t have too.
