How are you feeling this week? Doing well, had a bad night's sleep but overall i feel good.
Rants/Raves? Questions? Rave: Roommate is mostly moved out so we are finally getting our house back! MH painted a bunch this weekend so everything downstairs looks clean and fresh with the new flooring. Rant: Baby Registries are so hard. We just have zero idea of what we are going to need/want and there is so much shit out there. I keep trying to keep things to a minimal, but we'll see something and be like--ooo, i like that, we need that!
Any upcoming appointments? nothing until the 18th, Fetal Echo
GTKY: Best April fool's prank you fell for or played on someone? My sister and i moved all the living room furniture to the deck and the deck furniture to the living room one year--that was hard because we did it at like 4 in the morning and had to be really quiet.
@blackhottamales ugh, it was super hard doing registry research. i highly recommend https://www.lucieslist.com/. she divides her recs into the top categories of stuff you need. i didn't always go with her recommendations but it did help review all types of options and help me decided what was best for me and my values. i would pick one category and read up on it and then add to my amazon list. i swear it probably took me a month of this to slowly build up the registry.
@blackhottamales yay to having your home back! That’s quite an elaborate prank
How far along? 27w2d
How are you feeling this week? Overwhelmed. So much travel and so many deadlines and things to finish this month. I’m already wishing for May.
Rants/Raves? Questions? So variable when I feel the baby with an AP... sometimes, it’s really consistent and then I wonder how I’ll be able to do kick counts, etc
Any upcoming appointments? 28wk appt next week with US to see if my low lying placenta has moved
GTKY: Best April fool's prank you fell for or played on someone? I think I’m a bit of a party pooper on this one - really not a fan of pranks
How are you feeling this week? ok, a bit tired and the nausea is peaking back if I don't eat regularly but overall not half bad
Rants/Raves? Questions? work has been super busy lately and I don't think it will slow down any time soon... So Just have to keep swimming.
Any upcoming appointments? I had my anatomy scan on friday and all looked good, I was also cleared for a VBAC which is super exciting.
GTKY: Best April fool's prank you fell for or played on someone? I am terrible at pranks....
@blackhottamales hooray for having your house back @autumnlvs I had an anterior placenta last time and didn't feel the baby till the 3rd tri and never completed a single kick count... I have an AP again this time... I feel a little bit more (some occasional rolls) but still don;t feel much. I think as long as what your feeling stays steady than its OK.

How are you feeling this week? Good! Other than getting up 4-5 times a night to pee!
Rants/Raves? Questions? Finally feeling baby . I do Have an anterior placenta as well and definitely can’t count kicks either but man feeling him moving in there is pretty cool.
Any upcoming appointments? Friday for a growth scan
GTKY: Best April fool's prank you fell for or played on someone? I always went for putting the rubberband around the kitchen sprayer ..: got my parents, siblings and husband quite a few times with that one. Lol
@ndz2018 I haven't asked for anything yet. As long as I eat regularly I seem to be able to keep it more in check.... So glad your starting to feel the baby. Its one of the best feelings and one of the things I miss the most post birth

@wabash15 That’s exactly what my mom told me.. that when he gets here I’m gonna miss that feeling. I kinda wish he would move on command so i would feel more secure but he moves around when he pleases
@ndz2018 its funny how even in your uterus they have their own personalities ... stubborn babies, chill babies, super active babies... DD2 would be quiet most of the time unless DD1 was in my lap then she would kick her... but not DS and would stop moving if DH put his hand on my stomach...

@wabash15 YUP!!! Every single time I grab DH hand this kid stops moving! Though the other day he said he felt him.. hopefully in the next few weeks he’ll get with the program and let his daddy feel some movement
hi ladies *shyly waves* .. after weeks of lurking and not having a first trimester PAIF board to post, I'm finally feeling confident enough in this pregnancy to being posting here. Thanks for having me
How far along? 14 weeks
How are you feeling this week? I'm super tired but have not had any symptoms this entire time other fatigue and bleeding from this pesky SCH
Rants/Raves? Questions? I just got my NIPT results back and they are NEGATIVE for all trisomies!! My first trimester screening showed an elevated risk for Downsyndrome so we got the NIPT test and so relieved to see all looks good. Also, we are having a little boy
Any upcoming appointments? We just had an ultrasound last Monday because I have been having bleeding due to SCH. Scan confirmed that it had shrunk from 5cm to 2cm so my doctor said she does not need to see me for 4 weeks (!!) Unless I have more heavy bleeding.
GTKY: Best April fool's prank you fell for or played on someone? April fool's is my favorite day, a self proclaimed Prank Sinatra if you will. So of course we get our NIPT back on Monday and called our parents to tell them we were having a boy and NO ONE BELIEVED US!! So not even a prank, but I guess pulling pranks for so many years finally came back to bite me in the bum.
Feel free to share a HDBD!! No real bump here yet, just awfully tight fitting clothing.
@autumnlvs What a cute bump!! @ndz2018 I played that prank every year on my husband ... but we just redid our kitchen over the winter and was super disappointed to find that our fancy new sink has a sprayer built into the faucet
@leilee101 Yay for seeing you here! And a boy! So exciting I had SOOOO much trouble going to the 4 week gap between appts. It was one of the reasons I got a doppler; after a M/C and vanishing twin, I was just too anxious to go that long without checking on baby. Once I felt movement, I used it much less (around 20 weeks) but I did go through two big jars of aloe gel (cheaper than ultrasound gel) during my pregnancy XD
I read a journal article about the hormones used in IVF causing increased chance of false elevated risk in the standard blood screenings (not the NIPT). My doctor only does the NIPT now unless you want one of the other screenings. I declined that though due to vanishing twin -- just relied on the anatomy scan to make sure baby was healthy.

@ndz2018@blackhottamales@wabash15 aw thanks ladies ... Happy to be here @mbradfo2 yes I got a doppler and it is soo reassuring. Everyone said it might be difficult to use but honestly I find the heartbeat usually within seconds, almost like intuition I know where he is. I'm actually not as freaked out about the 4 weeks as I thought I would be, it's soo nice to finally have a "normal" pregnancy. I also think the SCH impacted my first trimester screening, my Papp-A was low, which was probably caused by the bleeding since we are assuming it was a little part of the placenta breaking off.
@leilee101 wekcome! Glad to see you hear! and congrats on your baby boy! and I'm also happy to know that your SCH and bleeding are getting better and you're having a normal pregnancy. that's reassuring! @autumnlvs what a cute bump! @blackhottamales good that you got your house back for yourself and can move forward on getting ready for baby! @wabash15 sorry about the nausea and the acid re-flux are not fun either if that can make you feel better , you are not alone my friend! @ndz2018 exciting news that you start feeling baby moving more now! the last 2 days my baby has been super active and that's sooooo reassuring!
How far along? 26W0D!
How are you feeling this week? bloated still, not fun at all. and I have been super busy at work which was kinda annoying and was affecting my mood
Rants/Raves? Questions? Still can't find a Baby name and I'm getting frustrated now!
Any upcoming appointments? not until the 17
GTKY: Best April fool's prank you fell for or played on someone? not a big fun of prank, sorry...
@babydust2507 DH and I are always cutting it to the end for names... the first time I was 36 weeks with twins before we settled on names, last time we had a girls name by 35-36 weeks but were still undecided about a boys name even at the birth (thank goodness it was a girl!) this time we still have a long way to go before we pick a name... you are not alone. It will come to you

Thank you @wabash15 you made me feel better! looks like that what is going to happen to us. my DH is always trying to rethink the name, seeking the perfect name. But my thinking is if we like it why trying to think of a better name or whatever it will be our perfect name! but oh well I'll just accept the fact that it will be a last minute pick
