We did the Panorama test for our first kid and did it again for the second. I recommend that test, if its available to you. Our insurance covered the majority of the cost. We wanted to know as early as possible if there were any abnormalities so we could seek support early.
We did panorama as well as the NT scan. My doctor does the NT as standard (unless you opt out) even with panorama, as they can sometimes catch issues on the ultrasound that panorama wouldn't test for. Also the NT covers spina bifida (blood test at 16w) that panorama doesn't screen for.
Generally people will do one or both of the above screeners and only do CVS if a screener result comes back as irregular or with heightened probability. CVS is invasive and expensive, so if the screener tests come back clean you'd likely want to avoid it.
