HELP!!! 37 weeks and baby decided to flip.

Just left the OB. She is now breech. Doc tried to give her a little push but didn’t really try turning her. He gave me a 5-10% chance of her flipping again. Scheduled c section two weeks from today but I CANNOT HAVE A C SECTION! I have PXE. My skin does not hold stitches or stapes well at all. I also have a special needs child who depends on me being able to pick him up after his seizures which he has daily....yes he is taking cbd oil so no that’s not an option. How do I get this little girl to flip?!?!?!

    I have no idea on ways to get her to flip but if she can flip once she can flip again. I know a lot of people swear by spinning babies. Fingers crossed!

    Check out SpinningBabies.com. Also I have heard good things about seeing a Webster certified chiropractor. Is an EVC not an option?

    You can also look for someone who is comfortable delivering breech babies. I don’t know much about it (I am sure there are various factors that go into whether or not they think someone is a good candidate to attempt a breech birth) but it may be worth looking for someone to have a conversation with if you’re desperate to not have a cesarean.

    I would ask your dr about an EVC and try all the spinning babies tricks.

    Baby girl is engaged already and extremely low. what little movement he tried today she wouldn’t move at all. I called his office after I left and was able to talk him into an EVC on the 8th if she is still breech in a week. He said he really doesn’t think it’s going to do any good and with her position to prepare for the worst if we do it. I feel as though I have to at least try. Recovery from a c section would be hell for me.

    Yes, spinning babies, also try standing in the water in a pool and then (from in the pool not the side) dive down to the bottom. Ask your baby to flip, turn around. Have dad shine a flashlight and ask baby to put head by the light and his voice. Webster technique. Cat /cow pelvic rocks. I like that someone mentioned finding a provider that’s comfortable delivering a breach baby. But also stay positive, I know you Dr gave you the stats for baby turning but remember that’s for all women with breach babies not you specifically -your chance of baby turning could be much better!!!! You are an individual not a statistic. And it also sounds like you are going to be proactive 😊. Sending you good vibes!

    Really the only position you absolutely cannot have a baby in is transverse lie but please prepare yourself for an emergency C either way; I agree with finding an OB that is familiar and comfortable delivering breech babies. There is a podcast called "The Birthing Hour" that highlights all sorts of births and breech stories are included if you want to give them a listen.

    I’ve heard great things from spinning babies to get baby to turn. My MIL turned DH doing cat/cow while in the delivery room......so it’s never too late for baby to turn (although she said it was not an enjoyable experience). Also a baby can disengage after he/she has already engaged

    Agreed. They cannot force you not te try if baby is feet or butt first. Transverse doesn’t work. But you can have them make that call when you go in in labor and not schedule a cs

    Lurker**** your baby can change position at any time.... especially if they were head down and flipped to breach... some babies love to move till the very last moment...  But I second spinning babies or chiropractic care with someone webster certified....

    Idk anything about PXE (or C sections really for that matter), but is surgical glue an option for closing your C Section incision? Also, regardless of how you deliver you will likely need additional help with a special situation like a frequently seizing child so best to make arrangements for that.

    @gkr6690 Can you share what you did to help her flip? I just had the same situation happen to me. She was head down 30-36 weeks and this week at my 36 week appointment she was breech! I'm scared to death of a c section due to some health reasons...

    08/2011: Clomid 50mg, IUI --> BFN  ,
    10/2011: Clomid 100mg, IUI --> BFN
    04/13: Clomid, IUI BFP --> MC at 6w1d
    05/13: Femara 2.5mg, IUI --> BFN  , 08/13: Femara 2.5mg --> BFN
    03/14: Femara 5mg, IUI --> 1 follicle @ 27d --> BFP! EDD 12/02/14--> blighted ovum, missed MC 6w6d --> D&C
    4/23: D&C...starting over again, with a little part of my heart broken off

    Pelvic tilts. Don’t slouch. Don’t let your knees touch any time. Don’t slouch and try to let your stomach hang between your legs while sitting. What I did the most was when the baby was most active I climbed in bed on all four, lowered my shoulders and hugged a pillow. I laid like this most of the time. Keep a big gap between your knees....rocking, hip twirls, and sex in this position are what did it. I even fell asleep in the position a lot of the time. You can check fb in your area for a fetal doppler...most are around $20...if the heart beat is above your belly button on either side then the baby is still breech. My doctor gave me a 5-10% chance of her flipping even manually so he was really surprised when I called saying I got her to flip. I check her heartbeat now after every big movement praying she won’t turn again.

    When I was pregnant with my daughter she had flipped back breech two days before my due date! I used similar techniques and she turned back head down. Doctor decided to induce immediately after rechecking her position because I wanted to avoid a C section and she came out completely tangled in her cord but a very healthy baby girl! Congratulations and wishing you a healthy delivery :)

    Yay! I’m trying to keep baby from switching on sunny side up with how I sit and posture and trying to tilt forward a little while laying on my side.
