PGAL remaining month of March

Hey guys, we haven’t had a PGAL check-in in a while. I’m hoping that’s in part because everyone’s been doing well but selfishly I thought I’d get us started...

1. How many weeks are you?
2. Previous loss(es)?
3. How are you feeling?
4. Any appointment updates?
5. GTKY - Do you have any fur babies at home? Tell us about them.

  • 1. How many weeks are you? 17w5d
    2. Previous loss(es)? 4 first tri
    3. How are you feeling? I’ve been doing really well. And then last night I had a bad dream about the baby that prompted me to wake my husband up and ask if the baby is ok. I don’t want to get into the details but it was bad and it’s stayed with me all day. When things like this happen I always wonder what it’s like to experience pregnancy without having experienced pregnancy loss. Maybe every pregnant women has dreams like that?
    4. Any appointment updates? We saw LO last week and he looked great.
    5. GTKY - Do you have any fur babies at home? Tell us about them. We have three dogs (mutts) and one cat. Our youngest dog is 5 and she’s hilarious to DH and I with her funny faces and hammy behaviour. Here’s a pic.

  • I have to apologize to all for dropping the ball with this thread.  As I slid into 2nd trimester I kind of took a board break.  Life got busy with work and travel.  Thank you @zamora_spin for the resurrection!

    1. How many weeks are you? 19 tomorrow with baby girl!
    2. Previous loss(es)? 3 losses in 2018.  One due to Trisomy 22
    3. How are you feeling? Great!  1st trimester was so brutal.  These last 4 weeks have been awesome.  Energy level is back and I feel way more motivated.
    4. Any appointment updates?  We have our 20 week scan next week.  Feeling some light sporadic movements which is great.  Still using my Doppler at home every couple of days to reassure myself
    5. GTKY - Do you have any fur babies at home? Tell us about them.? Yes.  Greta is our almost 5 month old puppy.  She is a funny little fur ball!

  • Yay! I’m so glad this thread is back. Missed you ladies!
    1. How many weeks are you? 19w 2d

    2. Previous loss(es)? 1 MMC sept 2018

    3. How are you feeling? Pretty good! The baby’s movements are getting more frequent and stronger which is good for my mental health! My H could feel the movement from the outside the other day!

    4. Any appointment updates? One normal check up Friday and our AS is next Wednesday!

    5. GTKY - Do you have any fur babies at home? Tell us about them. We have a 5 year old lab and she is the absolute best dog to have with kids, so tolerant and easy going. She’s a sweetie

  • @zamora_spin I'm so sorry you had a bad dream that you just can't shake. I think I didn't really start to relax/trust that things would be OK till I passed viability after loss. Even then it took a while to really believe we were getting our take home babies. hugs, I  hope you have an appointment coming up soon to help give you some reassurance.

  • @zamora_spin ((hugs)) it can be so hard to shake those kind of dreams. We lost our first so it has always made me wonder what it would be like to experience a healthy pregnancy without having a loss first. I still get angry/jealous when people are able to be blissfully happy after getting and staying pregnant easily...i know how terrible that is but I have not been able to change.

  • @Allycat11 it is not terrible. I feel the same way. what it would be like to get pregnant easily and not have a concept or the constant fear of loss creep in.... I too am jealous of those ladies and it wont ever change even though I have been blessed so many times.

  • @zamora_spin I’ve said that so often. After going through a loss and IVF, I so wonder what it would be like to have a “normal “ first pregnancy.  It would nice to be naive about some things.

    1. How many weeks are you? 18w5d
    2. Previous loss(es)? Ectopic pregnancy
    3. How are you feeling? Pretty good. I’ve been having some tightening in the afternoons at the top of my belly.  Prob because I’m not drinking enough water
    4. Any appointment updates? 4/16 is my A/S with my MFM followed by my ob appt
    5. GTKY - Do you have any fur babies at home? Tell us about them. Bella is my 8 year old yorkie. I truly treat her like a baby.
