Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Friday 3/22

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

@holly321 I’m sorry you have so much going on and I’m hoping you get some good stuff coming your way soon. As for the OPKs, I used to get a lot of false surges early in the month and then I wouldn’t ovulate until CD19-24. In fact, I could get an OPK with two lines fairly dark lines at any point in the month. I did get almost tricked once when I did O early on CD15, but I caught the FW in time because of checking CM and CP. For some reason the OPKs seem to be more accurate for me now. Not sure what brand you have, but some pick up pretty low levels of LH just like some HPT can also pick up low levels of HCG. Just keep temping and checking CM so you can confirm.

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 14

WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, OPK, Maca, PNV, Vitex, B complex, B6, D, magnesium, selenium, Omega3, baby aspirin

R/R: It’s Friday and that makes me happy. I scheduled my hair donation for the 30th. I need a change. It has been raining for two days and the poofiness is just as bad as the winter static and fuzz collection was!

CS/Q: not much to debate just yet

  • @nytino24 tw  thanks to my molar pregnancy, I know that my HCG levels fluctuate.  It usually stays around 2 but will go to 4, which I have had show positive before.    And I feel you on the hair.  I started to straighten my yesterday and stopped halfway through, since I decided it is no point.  That’s great that you donate yours!
  • @inthewoods23 It’s such an emotional process and I’m sorry you had to be torn in multiple directions, but glad YH got pumped up. I hope one day you can look back at this as a quick blur in the grand scheme of a happy life! Congrats on the new relative. *TW* after my loss, it made me look at every single person I saw as a miracle. You can’t tell which people were born after their parents struggled with TTC, but everyone around us made it. It gave me hope. */TW*

@holly321 I'm sorry seems like an understatement. I hope your friend gets the help she needs. My cousin is schizophrenic and I know important treatment is. And I hope your nephew is okay. Re: OPK, take another one later in the day and see what it does. Maybe your body has more than one surge?

@inthewoods23 Lol to YH! At least you know he's trying. Congrats on your new niece.

@NYTino24 Love that you're donating hair!

R/R: Mine is both. I have to be in a legal seminar for 8 hours today. I'm excited because I'm a nerd and love the topic, but man, did they have to schedule it on a Friday?

    CS/Q: Nope

  • @kbrown2385 I have donated 12 and 10 inches before. Hope you have fun with your visitors! We have such big families that we usually default to pizza. Haha

@holly321 So sorry about all that! Enjoy your much-deserved gin!
@inthewoods23 I'm sorry about the stress and DH. Hopefully as @NYTino24 put it, sometime relatively soon you'll be able to look back and barely remember this tough period of time.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 8

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, FF, PNV

R/R: Rant: DH and I are going nuts through this kitchen reno. He picks apart every little thing he sees wrong, but I'm the one home with the contractor and have to keep pointing these things out.
Rave: I'm about to get my hair done and it's finally Friday, so I can catch up on sleep this weekend! And our sink looks awesome! I'll add a pic in spoiler.

    CS/Q: Nothing to see yet.

    Me: 33 DH: 33
    Married: 10.15.16
    BFP: 12.24.16
    DS BD: 8.20.17
    TTC #2 1.1.19
    BFP #2 7.3.19
    EDD #2 3.13.20
  • @mrsvp614 my dh likes to pick things apart and tries to make me complain, I hate it!   I love the sink, and have a very similar look to my counters!

@ruby696 I hope you enjoy and learn a lot at your seminar.  I enjoy stuff like that too, especially when they come with free yummy food!

@kbrown2385 enjoy your company!  I will think on the recipes.  How many people are you having?  I like to do stuff like taco/salad bar type meals so people can make them to their tastes.

@inthewoods23 I am sorry about you and your dh’s fight, emotions regarding ttc, especially with problems can get so raw.  Dh and I like to alternate who takes the fault when we fight!  Fun times.
  • AFM, yesterday was a good day! I had a lot of work to do, but not too much to be overwhelmed. Dinner was good and easy, and DH was in a good mood all evening. I got to watch part of a tv show, workout, and then ate a little too much brownies.
I'm feeling a lot less stress this cycle, and I'm literally trying to forget what CD I'm on so I don't stress. This weekend should be busy with sushi with friends, loading just junk to take to the dump, and just general house chores. I'm super excited about the sushi!
  • @marebear15 glad you had a good day yesterday! Enjoy all the sushi! Im making dh take me on a sushi date soon, even though he hates it 😆.

@MrsVP614 love the sink! Enjoy getting your hair done!

@holly321 My mil, sil and her kids will be here, so 7 people total. Tacos are definitely on the list!
  • @marebear15 mmmmm sushiiiii.

@holly321 I hope the gin does its job & you can relax a bit later today!

@inthewoods23 I think you & YH are good for each other bc of what you described--it would have been easy for many in your situation only to get very upset at his doubts, but instead you were encouraging, (even if what he said might have set off some other more understandably not as bright emotions in you.) <3

@NYTino24 RE: "looking at every single person as a miracle" I had that "epiphany" the other night thinking about like, ME being alive haha.

@kbrown2385 Veggie lasagna! With multiple people, it's nice have ONE thing basically to serve rather than an entree and a few sides--esp. if you're gonna have bread and/or salad on the table as well.

@ruby696 haha I hate when my raves turn into/are also rants. But I hope once you get there, you are so engrossed you forget it's Friday & then you leave & are like OMG IT'S FRI.

@MrsVP614 Hopefully once the reno is done, you'll be glad you had to point all the stuff out! So much better than having to have the contractors come back? But I'd be annoyed too if I were the one having to consistently tell the people where they've messed up....

    Month/Cycle: 6/5/2AL

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: PNV, Ubiquinol, maca, RLT, FF, BBT, OPK (where's @brookert615, I usually look at that list and be like "okay what am I missing--" ^_~*)

R/R: I drank like three-fourths a beer last night, and I just really shouldn't drink anymore? It brought me way down and then I felt guilty and today I feel cloudy. Yes, three-quarters of one beer. / The Men's March Madness tourney started yesterday & continues today! I really love this time of year. I have a lot of things to grade, and I will be doing so in front of at least two different basketball games starting... soon.

CS/Q: As you may see, b/c my last cycle, I O'd on day 21 (TW LOSS: bc it was my d&c cycle) my chart is predicting I will again. I'm curious if it'll be Day 15, which has been my O day previously at least twice that I know of, or if it will be a bit later. Since the calendar is going by Day 15, which puts FW/O when I'll be in PDX, I'm kind of hoping it comes a BIT later? SIGH. We shall see.

  • @ruby696 I'm rooting for you to have a successful IUI! I have the same thoughts to people who schedule meetings at 4pm or later on Friday. Like whyyyy?

@NYTino24 that's great that you donate your hair! I've thought about it over the years, but I don't think I've ever gotten my hair to grow long enough to meet the length requirement for donations.

@holly321 I'm so sorry things have been rough lately for you! I hate when life hits really hard. Take care of yourself ❤️

@marebear15 glad you're feeling less stressed!

@kagesstarshroom DH and I definitely have some interesting balances with each other that is beneficial for both of us. I can be having raging emotions while arguing with him and he always responds in a completely normal voice which generally gets me to calm down faster. We make a good team I think.

@kbrown2385 in part of the conversation we argue how he often tells me that things I said previously were hurtful (like "so and so gave this look and then quickly changed the subject because you were going overboard") but then he would tell me it's fine and so I'm like which is it? Am I being unintentionally rude or not? He makes me feel like I don't pick up social cues but then why does nobody say anything in the moment if he feels like what I say is that bad? At this point it's just whatever, and we're moving on, but these arguments make me feel insane.

@MrsVP614 around this time a few years ago we had changed our faucet for the kitchen sink to a similar faucet you have with the U-shape and it was my favorite upgrade to our house that we did at the time because I could finally rinse large pots with ease instead of scraping the split in the sink. Before and after in spoiler! 🙂

Hi! I intro'd earlier today, excited to get to know everyone.

    Month/Cycle: 0/1

    CD: 23

WAYDTGKU: Treating my thyroid (NP Thyroid, multi vitamin, Vitamin D3  w/ K2, Omega 3, thyroid support vitamin, probiotic, zinc, selenium, magnesium glycinate), FF, CM, eating clean Whole30/Paleo, reducing stress, sleeping well
ETA: I just remembered, I went off of Testosterone cream a couple months ago and I am still on progesterone cream 1/2 the dose until ovulation and the full dose after until 2 days before my period.

R/R: I'm on day 19 of this round of Whole30 and doing really well! Also I am excited for tomorrow, my husband and I are deep cleaning, purging and taking inventory of a few rooms. Then we are going to play board games with my cousins.

CS/Q: No questions, my chart is really wonky this month. It's an off cycle and of course had terrible sleep and woke up a ton right around when I think ovulation was. So I think I ovulated a few days ago, but FF is saying I didn't. Hopefully with a few more days of temps it will be more clear.

@kbrown2385 Crock pot meals are always easy for me. Stew, carnitas (or another form of taco meat) with all the fixings, chili with fixings, stir fry, BBQ pulled pork with coleslaw. This looks good, https://realsimplegood.com/creamy-garlic-spaghetti-squash-casserole/ and I've made this one before and it is good https://www.paleorunningmomma.com/paleo-swedish-meatballs-whole30/

  • @ruby696 FX for your IUI!

@marebear15 I love sushi! I hope it is wonderful.

@MrsVP614 Your kitchen is beautiful, I am so jealous!

@NYTino24 I'm getting my hair cut next week, I wonder what the minimum length is to donate. I also have a bunch of layers so I guess I will have to look into that.
