How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling good! Think today I will work on my “nesting” and get a bunch of cleaning done and finish the playroom.
Upcoming appointments? Thursday - 39wk appt and sono
Questions? Anyone else have days where you feel labor could almost be here, then the next it’s like nothing? I swear my body plays tricks on me!
GTKY: What's something you will miss about being pregnant? I’ll miss feeling the little kicks. Since it took forever to get here, I know I’ll miss just being pregnant in general. I’ve loved keeping up with the weekly developments. Since will probably be my only pregnancy, been trying to soak it all up!

How is everyone feeling this week? In the past 2 days my back has been aching a bit more and my sleep hasn’t been great but im
managing. Getting my naps back in after work.
Upcoming appointments? 31wks w ob.
GTKY: What's something you will miss about being pregnant? Baby movements! They’re so precious. I wish I would be able to record the movements but it’s hard to catch him in action as his kicks/punches aren’t always strong for it to be noticeable on the outside.
How far along / EDD? 38 + 6, EDD 3/27 (hopefully sooner!)
How is everyone feeling this week? Truthfully, feeling awful from the joints relaxing and carpal tunnel in both wrists that is worsening everyday.
Upcoming appointments? I have an appointment on Wednesday at 39 weeks. Hopefully I am dilated some so we can get this show on the road! I can't imagine (or don't want to) being pregnant for another 2 more weeks.
Questions?
GTKY: What's something you will miss about being pregnant? I'll miss all the little milestones, like feeling the first kicks, and showing off my baby bump .
@drove2u so excited for you today, I hope all goes well!!
@kristimh80 crazy that this is our last week in 3rd tri! I hear you on the body playing tricks - my stomach has been upset on and off the last few days and I'm like, "Is this getting ready for labor? Or do I just need to stop eating tomato sauce?" hahaha
How far along / EDD? 38 weeks 4 days today. EDD was 3/29 but as of my appointment last week, my OB said that if baby girl isn't here by this Friday they don't want me going past then (39 weeks). So I scheduled a c-section for Friday, but it's of course possible she could come on her own before then - ah!!
How is everyone feeling this week? Nervous, excited, nest-y, tired.
Upcoming appointments? I have one over lunch today - OB visit and NST.
Questions?
GTKY: What's something you will miss about being pregnant? Definitely the little kicks and rolls - and I love having a bump and wearing fun clothes to show it off.
Here's me yesterday - sorry it's so huge!
Well I may have spoke too soon! I could still be here for check-ins Monday. Hospital still has us on the waiting list for induction on Monday. I was 1st in line on the list, so guess the person ahead of me has a stubborn baby too lol

So many of you are up this week or next... it'll be a different 3rd tri without you all, but so excited that you all will be meeting your little one's soon. thanks for all your help and advice over the last several months! don't be strangers!
It's my first post on 3rd tri -- it's been a long road to get here, and still kinda in disbelief that we're getting closer to the finish line. 2.5+ years of trying, 2 MMCs at 6 and 9 weeks, and two SCH bleeds with this one. i still occasionally get a twinge of worry every now and then that something's wrong, but i guess that's to be expected.
Here's my deets:
@northbeach3 EDD 6/5 GIRL!
How far along / EDD? 28+6; June 5th
How is everyone feeling this week? i'm guessing LO is getting too big to make her big movements anymore. feeling less rolling and kicks and more little movements. sometimes i get freaked out that it's been too long without movement, but then ask myself if I've been really paying attention. otherwise, still feeling physically okay -- occasional back pain if i sit too long, bump still on the smaller side occasionally allowing me to enjoy some back sleep. wondering how many more weeks like this i'll get before "turning a corner" towards major discomfort.
Upcoming appointments? finished 3-week childbirthing class and hospital tour this past weekend; have breastfeeding class tonight. 30w OB next week. feeling more "mentally" ready, but definitely not house-ready ready. baby shower in two weekends, so hopefully that'll kick me into nesting-gear. we're already in week 9 of the 16 week semester... which will put me right at 36 weeks at the end of the semester. it's like a countdown clock that is reminding me i really don't have that much time left!
Questions? how frequent was your kick count routine? did you really do it every day at the same time? or were you more just cognizant of movement?
GTKY: What's something you will miss about being pregnant? still feels early for me to be thinking about this, but also a little sad. i think DH would be fine with being one and done. and while i'll be so happy to get my THB, i think about our last 3 snowbabies and trying again in the future. i thought i'd be miserable for my whole pregnancy, but it was really just the first trimester. i know it could go any which way in a future pregnancy. more than anything, i think i'll miss the emotional closeness and care that has increased in DH. i know the IF process took a big toll on him as well and i just don't know that it would look the same with a future pregnancy since getting to this point came with so much ups and downs. we'd know more what to expect and wouldn't be going through the same learning process together.

Yesterday I felt very little or no movements so I went to hospital and they monitored me for 30-45 minutes. I realized that I wasn’t counting lot of them as movements. Either they were too lite or I couldn’t understand them as movements. But he was definitely moving around too much. They also did a quick ultrasound check and baby was in breach position. Last time for anatomy scan he was facing down. Hoping he turns back in time so I don’t have to think about c section.
My doctor said that anything, even just swishes or small pushes, counts as movement. Even hiccups. He basically said that you'll start to feel a pattern for your LO as you go into the 3rd trimester and only do kick counts if you think something is off. That being said, I did morning and evening kick counts because anxiety. There's an app you can get for your phone that lets you just tap the screen to count a movement and keeps a history so you can see the pattern. I would just open the app and relax on the couch or eat breakfast/dinner and tap the screen whenever I felt something.
I think it's more important to be aware of your body and trust your gut if something is bugging you. Your doctor is there to reassure you, not just check the doppler every week or two. It was actually just a general "off" feeling that got me into the hospital at 35 weeks -- she had been meeting all the kick counts, I just didn't feel right about things and wanted some peace of mind so my doctor sent me to get a quick scan even though I had gotten a perfect scan just a few days prior. They found my BP was sky high and I wound up with a baby several weeks early! haha
A little monitoring that reassures you can't hurt anything, imo.

in other news, can you feel movement/kicks near your back? I started noticing this last night and am experiencing occasional flutters / poking on my right back side area. It’s the most bizarre feeling.

How is everyone feeling this week? First week of maternity leave and I've been so busy I realized it was Thursday and I hadn't looked in this forum all week lol. I've been hanging out at my mom's and making a lot of freezer meals - we're using her freezer space since we don't really have any at our place.
Upcoming appointments? Monday O/B. There's a good chance I'll be induced soon after that appt, at 39 weeks. At my appt this past Monday, my O/B casually says - have we talked about induction at 38/39 weeks because of your blood pressure? I have had high bp for a few years, well-managed with meds, and it's been completely stable throughout my whole pregnancy. I've had a few extra scans, to be extra cautious, because statistically I'm a higher risk of developing preeclampsia, but there have been zero signs of that happening so far. So, I was a bit taken aback because it's the first time she'd mentioned inducing me early. She even said - we can induce you tonight if you want, or we can wait another week. She tried to check my cervix and couldn't even reach it it's still so high. Baby hasn't dropped at all and my body doesn't seem remotely ready for labor. I insisted on waiting the week! I'm not keen on inducing if my body is not ready yet, and there are no signs of anything being wrong with me or baby. So, induction might be happening next week, but I might argue for another week extension depending on how things are looking.
GTKY: What's something you will miss about being pregnant? Definitely baby kicks & feeling like I have a little friend along with me all day
@bkatp I think BH are an overall tightening, whereas baby movements are more localized. Having said that, sometimes baby sticks his butt out and it makes my belly very lopsided and pointed, and this looks/feels almost identical to some of the braxton-hicks I've had.
@northbeach3 I don't count in a formal way unless I'm worries that baby is moving less that day. I noticed that on my bus ride to work every day I'd feel a lot of kicks, so I used that as a good indicator that things were okay.

@northbeach3 I have never gotten back kicks, but it maybe just the position your baby is in right now. I use to have bad back pain due to baby's spine being aligned with mine, so all her kicks went from the left side to right on top as she was turning. About 2-3 weeks after, she did finally turned to where there were on the right like they were supposed to be.
@scikap Sorry you were blindsided by the "induction" talk! My body is the same, other than the fact that I've dropped...there's nothing going on with that cervix either! Somehow there are 4 of us waiting to be induced this Monday and I'm still 1st in line on the list so I'm in limbo until my nurse calls this afternoon with news either way. Part of me thinks...my due date is 3 days later...what's the rush now? It's good your dr is being precautious...Pre-E isn't anything worth messing with! My gf ended up with it and caused so many issues after birth.
