Re: TWW weekend 3/16-3/17

  • Month/Cycle: 26/3 A/L

    CD/DPO:  27/11

    Timing:  unsure

    Typical LP length: 14-15 days

    Testing:  not sure

R/R:  I had night sweats last  Igor, which generally means AF is coming in a day or two.  I could see O being cd 13/14 too, so maybe?  Now I see why opks are useful.  Still not sure I will buy some.  Generally, we have arc regularly enough I don’t have to worry about if my O day is off, but we were sick, so who knows.  I wasn’t invested too much into his cycle anyway, since I was going to see my obgyn yesterday to start testing and such, but that’s delayed 2 weeks.

  • @holly321 I had a love/ hate relationship with OPK this cycle. It was my first time with OPK and bbt. I’m a person that needs to know things otherwise I go crazy, so I started them just for that reason. It was frustrating at first, but now I’m glad I did it because I O’d a week after I was supposed to. We probably would have missed it otherwise, then I’d be freaking out right now that AF hasn’t come. Personal preference I guess. GL with the OBGYN!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 30/9dpo

Timing: -5, -4, -2, 0 (not sure we could have done much better!)

    Typical LP length: 12-14 days

Testing: starting to get antsy looking at my chart. Trying to hold off to see if AF comes, but who knows?!

R/R: thank goodness for the weekend! Watching some college basketball today in preparation for filling out my bracket tomorrow! The university MH works for is in the finals in their conference tourney today, we really wanted to buy tickets and go to the game but we already have plans. We had season tickets for their regular season, and they have been so much fun to watch! I guess we will stick to watching them on tv today! I have some papers to grade, but let’s be honest... that won’t happen.

CS/Q: still looking good! FX that this continues! My hopes are high all of a sudden!
  • Month/Cycle: 4 AL

    CD/DPO: 28/11

    Timing: Good

    Typical LP length: 12-13

    Testing: BFN

R/R:  FF told me my chart was triphasic yesterday, which was the first time I got this message.  So naturally, I stayed up for an extra hour last night analyzing triphasic charts, just to get another BFN this morning.  AF should be here tomorrow or Monday, so I am fairly confident I am out again this cycle.  I need to decide if I want to contact an RE this cycle or give myself one more.

    CS/Q:

  • @kerco925 I am so sorry about the BFN, especially after FF sent you that message.  :(  I have gone back and forth about making an appointment with an RE, too.  I decided that I'm going to go ahead and do it since it will probably take a while to get an appointment. I can always cancel if I get KU in between.
  • @emeraldduchess - Is it weird that that sounds like a nice weekend to me? I think because I sometimes wish I had become a teacher! My dad taught and it just seems like such a cool profession to go into.

    Month/Cycle: 8/7

    CD/DPO: 27/8

    Timing: -5, -2, +1

    Typical LP length: 13-14 days

    Testing: nope

R/R: OK yeah re: my doctor's office issues yesterday they appear to have tested for FSH, not progesterone on day 25/6 dpo. Not helpful! Definitely going to have a talk with them! Honestly this cycle kind of a felt like a wash anyway because my partner got sick on O day and the day before so I'm just chalking this up to a generally dumb month and a learning experience re: how to deal with this particular office...
I should think of a rave of some sort! Hmm well Queer Eye season 3 started last night so we enjoyed watching that!

    Month/Cycle: 10/10

    CD/DPO: 33/11 eta cd

    Timing: pointless

    Typical LP length: 12-13

    Testing: BFN

R/R: Bawled my eyes out so much in the last 12 hours or so that I think I’m dehydrated. I look super hungover, which works out since we were at a wedding last night. Too bad I didn’t drink though. I guess I should have. During the switch between cocktail hour and dinner, my bathroom break shattered my hopes. And then the cramps set in. I returned from the bathroom to a reception table with my brothers and cousins surrounding mh, so I had to put on a brave face. It was at a restaurant, so the space was crammed and there was no where to escape to. So, of course, I bawled in the carride home. Then brave face when we got home bc my ILs are staying over this weekend. Then BAWLED at 5 am after taking a final hpt since mh is forever the optimist and I just need him on the same page. After crying downstairs in the dark, by myself, I returned to my bed to softly cry. Mh has a crazy sense for when I soft-cry, so he woke up instantly to comfort me. Sigh. Just playing off the day like I’m hungover today. Not feeling great about myself and all my self pity.

CS/Q: stupid chart looked good until today’s temp drop

@holly321 I hear you on the opk. I like the cross check, so it’s worth it for me.
    @ejoseph16 looking good
@emeraldduchess I hope dh can support you to make this hell just a little easier. Yay for yoga pants and impending spring!!
@kerco925 ff is more like fertility frenemy rather than friend.
@kbrown2385 I hope hubby fixes the car quickly so that you can relax together.
@whitealbum29 what a pain! Sorry for the dr frustrations.
  • @begging4abump Oh I'm so sorry! I hope you're able to take the day to do whatever you need for yourself. It's so hard to deal with that surrounded by people/family especially at a celebration where everyone expects everyone to look happy and carefree.
  • @begging4abump I’m so sorry :( it’s hard when you have your hopes up so high and it’s crushed in one wipe in the bathroom. I have that fear right now even though I’m not even close yet. Do you have anyone else besides YH that you can talk to? I find that venting to mh does help, but talking to a woman who has been through it helps as well. I have a coworker that knows and checks in on me every few days unless I come to her first.
  • @begging4abump I am so sorry about your BFN. I don't blame you for being emotional. So sorry it ruined the wedding too and you have to hide from your in-laws. Mine are visiting right now too and I am paranoid they are going to find a test box somewhere and ask questions. Ugh.

  • Hey everyone! Newbie here.

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 24/9

    Timing: great

    Typical LP length: 14 days

Testing: BFN this morning and will retest every 12 hours

R/R: Even though it is only my first month I feel like I have all of the symptoms, which is confounding. Back cramps, fatigue, sore nips. DH is being so supportive though and helpful which is nice. He wasn't so much the first time arou?nd, so he must be learning

  • *lurking*
@whitealbum29 (reply to yesterday & today's post/s) I too dream of going to a midwife or something like that--esp bc I feel like an obgyn just sort of assumes you'll stick with them bc it's what most ppl do? like, I guess I wish I knew more about other options? And yes for advocating for yrself now that they are royally messing up! I would be like, "yeah, so, I am not paying for this?"
@kerco925 & @begging4abump Sorry for the bfns. lots of hugs to you both <3.
@ejoseph16 I am PUMPED for the madness to begin! looking forward to filling in my bracket, too! it's been sports radio all week in my car rides.

  • @jennifer_louise yes for shopping! I did that last cycle after my bfn. It helped for a minute. Lol. Thinking positive thoughts for you, O buddy!
  • Thanks for all the support. I’ve been doing better. I feel a bit sheepish for having been so Debbie downer on here earlier. Especially when I know so many ppl have dealt with much more heartache. Venting is just my way of coping, I guess. Anyway, I get a retry tonight for wedding festivities since yesterday was just family and tonight is friends too, so more of a younger crowd with dancing. Hubby of mine is enthusiastic about dancing, so hopefully tonight we’ll bounce back and be ready for month&cycle 11. Plus, no need to hold back on drinks tonight!

@jennifer_louise I did not mean to bring you down too! I genuinely hope you break this bad news streak.
@bobbyflies2020 I left out my RE paperwork that had infertility plastered all over the header when my mom visited last week (hopefully her bad eyesight saved me), so I hear you. I’m pretty sure I’ve had our prenatal vitamins in clear view before too.
@ejoseph16 Close friends know that I’m having trouble trying, but they can’t relate, so I don’t love venting about this to them.
  • @begging4abump I'm so sorry for the BFN and that it's so hard on you.  This whole process is so emotional, it's better to vent and cry it out than bottle it up (IMHO). Enjoy cutting up the dance floor with your DH!  Mine doesn't like to dance (and is not very good at it...ok, he's terrible) so I'm a little jealous you get to dance the night away!

    @bobbyflies2020 welcome!

@whitealbum29 most days I love teaching, but sometimes I wonder what the heck I was thinking.  Like when I have a gigantic pile of projects to grade or dealing with student drama. :D It's definitely an emotionally taxing career but you have lots of moments that are totally worth the stress.  Hope you can set things straight with the doctor's office.

@jennifer_louise hey girllll!  I missed you too!  When you left WTO for TWW I was all, "Wait!  Don't go! We're supposed to be cycle buddies!" Yay for new workout clothes!  I never feel guilty about buying more since I know I'll get a lot of use out of them.  Currently sitting here in yoga pants and a workout top.  Did I go to the gym today?  No. No, I did not. Any new knitting projects?

@kbrown2385 you're brave going to the grocery store on a Saturday.  I avoid food shopping on weekends if I can.  Enjoy having a free weekend!

*Update* AF came 4 days early. Hoping for BFP for everyone else! Heading out now..

@begging4abump Oh no! I am guessing your mom found out?? My MIL basically found my prenatals and husband gave her a vague explanation.

I saw a bit of blood when I wiped just now, so I am probably out!

  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

CD/DPO:  26/?? (I'm not sure when I ovulated, my cycle is still normalizing since I stopped BC.)

    Timing: CD 13, CD 14

Typical LP length: ?? (see above), but if this cycle mirros last cycle, AF is due today.

Testing: Tomorrow. I also already tested Tuesday and Thursday, just because I couldn't wait.

R/R: This is both a rant and a rave.  I am feeling crampy and some coldlike symptoms, which is slightly exciting (are these pregnancy symptoms??) and slightly stressful / confusing (are these period symptoms? am i getting a cold?)?  I feel silly to worry, because either way, I'll know pretty soon.  But I'm still worried.

CS/Q: What are some differentiators between period cramps and early pregnancy cramps?

@begging4abump - you are so strong! what a weekend! :(
  • @emeraldduchess I never said mh was a GOOD dancer, but gosh, I love him and couldn’t imagine a more perfect life partner for me. I hope your report cards are moving along quickly!

@bobbyflies2020 ehh, who knows? We rejected tagging along on vacations last year and this year due to Zika destinations being chosen, so she must know we’re interested in having some babies. Ugh, so sorry about your update. If you’re right, we can head into wto together.

@agesandstages I totally hear you on the anxiety and need to know. I don’t think there’s really a way to know the difference in what cramping means. My best guess is that not feeling any symptoms might be the most promising, but everyone is different, and you have the same symptoms until you don’t, so it’s a mystery until a + or af. Good luck! 🍀

@agesandstages I hope you get a BFP! I had terrible cramping and weird symptoms. FX for you this morning!!!

  • @emeraldduchess I actually love grocery shopping. Dh loves it too so the weekend is usually the only time we have a chance to go together. I prefer going first thing Sunday morning, when most people are in church. There’s not a lot of people at the store we go to, so it’s not too bad.

@begging4abump hope you were able to let loose last night and had a good time at the wedding! TTC is stressful and emotional no matter where you are or what has happened. Your feelings are valid.

@jennifer_louise hey o date buddy! Hope you are feeling better over the weekend! Retail therapy never hurt haha.

    @agesandstages Good luck testing today!

@bobbyflies2020 just a heads up in spoiler tw*

I know you didn’t mean anything by it but on this board we try not to use the term baby dust. There are women on this board who actually have their babies “dust” because they have been cremated. If you wouldn’t mind editing your post, that would be great. Thanks!
  • Rant: woke up this morning spotting. I hope this isn’t AF. But I feel like it may be. Boo!
  • @kbrown2385 thanks. The weird part is my temp is still rising. FF even alerted me that I’m possibly showing a triphasic pattern on my chart. Then I went to the bathroom. 🤦🏼‍♀️
  • @ejoseph16 FF can be so rude sometimes.
  • I’ll be joining this group tomorrow 🙂 but just wanted to pop in to tell @kagesstarshroom and @whitealbum29 feel free to reach out to me about midwife options. I ditched the OBGyn years ago because of bedside manner and general lack of empathy and never looked back. I love my CNM!
  • Come over to our side @_khaleesi! It might be crazy pants over here but we have cookies!! (probably)

@emeraldduchess how does your timing always look soo good! Fx for you friend. And as for knitting, I have lots of yarn left over from quilt so I was thinking of making some potholders? Have you ever done any?

@ejoseph16 hope the spotting doesn't mean what you think it does!!

@kbrown2385 at what point does retail therapy become a problem? Asking for a friend....

    @begging4abump don't worry about venting earlier. That's why we're here--let it out!!

Thanks so much for the positive wishes! My test was negative (a FRER), but I’m still cramping! Will try again next weekend if I’m still WFAF!
