Progesterone injections

Hubby will be out of town for a day this week, anyone ever give yourself the progesterone injection in your thigh? I can't twist enough to give it in my rear. The videos I've found online say to use a smaller needle and inject in outer middle third muscle. Any words of advice will be appreciated thank you!

I traveled last week for work and also had to inject myself with PIO in my butt. I would ask your doctor/nurse if its okay to do it in your thigh, as I think the concern with thigh as it might not be absorbed as well as in the muscle in the butt and I hear it's more painful. I laid down on a bed and used my dominant hand (right) to inject in my right butt cheek. Laying down and twisting was easier for me to reach it than standing like the videos and it went much better than I anticipated. Hope that helps, good luck to you doing it yourself!

I’ve never injected in my thigh but I heard that it hurts more than injecting into your butt. If you can inject during your clinic’s business hours, you can always go to your clinic and have one of the nurses give you injection. I did that the first couple of times because I was scared of doing it myself. If you have to do it yourself, get a nurse to draw a target on your butt with a sharpie. The way I did it was to lean on my bed, lift the weight off the leg that’s on the same side of the butt you are injecting into, turn around and inject. I tried lying down on the bed and turn to inject but that was more difficult for me. Also, I used this to minimize the pain:
