Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: August 15. 17+5
Baby is the size of a(n): Game console controller
What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): Pink!
Upcoming Appointments: I have my anatomy scan next week!
How are you feeling?: Nausea has come back, although I think the tamiflu may be to blame. Excited to have more energy. I love the second trimester.
Rants/Raves: My son and I caught the flu last week and I was out a few days last week, and I have to go out of town for a conference for a few days this week. My job is dependent on billable hours, which I don't get when I'm sick and/or conferencing, so meeting my March target goals is going to be TOUGH. Growl.
Questions: I'm still not really feeling any movement. Here and there, but nothing consistent. I can't remember when I started feeling it with DS. Anyone feeling baby regularly?
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? (stolen from group 4): I have two. (1) When people fail to use an oxford comma; and (2) poor service from someone who works in a service industry. Really grinds my gears.
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 17+ 1 or 2
Baby is the size of a(n): I didnt look.
What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): Blue
Upcoming Appointments: None until April 4th. I have the A/S and 20w appt scheduled back to back that afternoon.
How are you feeling?: Not too bad overall. HUGE though. I struggle to eat enough because I feel full for a very long time after eating small amounts. If weight gain hasnt picked up a little by the next appointment, my OB wants me to see a nutritionist. I'm not eating unhealthy food, generally, I just dont get hungry. And migraines suck. And rolling over in bed leaves me out of breath haha.
Rants/Raves: I live in Arizona...and this winter has been just awful (for an AZ winter). Cold, rain, snow, and more rain. Today it is pouring rain. And of course my primary vehicle wouldnt start. By the time I got my backup started, I was soaking wet. All I can say is thank goodness people dont smell when they are wet like dogs do, since my hair was still wet when I got to work!
Questions: None right now.
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? Kids: whining. DH: "breathing heavy" in my direction at night. I hate it so much. It's not really snoring, but just as annoying. Especially because he is sleeping and I am being kept awake by his super loud mouth breathing.Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 17+6
Baby is the size of a(n): taco or soft ball
What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): Green
Upcoming Appointments: not till the very end of the month
How are you feeling?: overall not to bad, I get winded but way better than the first tri
Rants/Raves: I can't believe we are close to half way through... time is flying. Bed time went way better last night than the night before. (stupid DST).
Questions: nope
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? (stolen from group 4) I'm with @sourlemon DH overnight mouth breathing... oh and not turning lights off when you leave a room.

Upcoming Appointments: Ultrasound with Maternal Fetal Medicine March 25. Nervous and excited!
How are you feeling?: Well my nausea is back in full force but now instead of vomiting, I am dry heaving. I am so tired but that could just be the time change. I also feel extremely big to be only 17 weeks but it is my third baby, so I guess that is par for the course.
Rants/Raves: We cannot decide on a name and it's annoying me.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? (stolen from group 4) Loud sneezes, my kids whining, and pettiness.
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 8/21 16w6d
Baby is the size of a(n):a taco (that sounds good)
What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): Don't know yet!
Upcoming Appointments: A/S 3/26!
How are you feeling?: I miss food. I can only really eat one actual meal with taste a day, other than that I have to stay small and basic. I've been just looking up food menus and thinking about what I would eat if I could.
Rants/Raves: I caught DD's cold so I've been up since 5 because of post-nasal. I miss my pre-pregnancy immune system
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? General: When people don't return their shopping carts and just leave them in the parking spots Specific: When DD and DH are talking to me at the same time and neither relents to the other

@ash0625 I'm 16+5 and i haven't felt any movement yet and I have a posterior placenta. Also, I don't think you'd ever want to read my writing, no Oxford commas here!
@wabash15 @lilmamabebe3 I'm struggling a bit with the time change too. For me I think it has more to do with it still being so dark when I get up in the morning. I need the sun to trigger my body and say hey, get up.
@sourlemon that morning sounds miserable hope your day has gotten better. I never think of snow when I think of Arizona.
@EmilyA724 ugh, sorry you're sick. I had a cold a few weeks ago and it was miserable. I hope it is short-lived for you.

Upcoming Appointments: end of the month w/my OB, mid-April for my MFM follow up
How are you feeling?: like I can't walk as fast as I want to. I'm usually a fast walker and I've noticed I've slowed down. I have to leave my office a few minutes earlier to get to meetings.
Rants/Raves: Finally feeling better and was able to get to they gym yesterday, after yoga I realized I'm going to have to get some maternity workout gear. (any suggestions for this? I'm going to ask in the questions thread too)
Questions: any truth to the idea that in the second tri your estrogen drops and you produce more mucus. Some one told me that's why I've been have sinus issues?
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? (stolen from group 4) when people talk on their cell phones when engaging in other customer service related activities. For example, talking on the phone throughout the check out process in a store or when someone is trying to take your order at a restaurant. I think it is just so rude.

What team are you on (Blue, Pink, or Green): blue
Upcoming Appointments: OB appt this friday! But just a general check-in. Looking forward to AS on the 27th
How are you feeling?: Pretty good, considering! DTS time change destroyed my life because DD was really confused by it so no one in the house has been sleeping well, so that exhaustion has bled into many things--like, I am way too tired to prepare anything for dinner so last night I definitely starved little fetus with my half-assed hummus and carrots dinner snack.
Rants/Raves: at least it's starting to feel Spring-y! After a looooong period of rain in the Bay Area yesterday finally the sun came out and the whole week is going to be nice. I am both ready for nicer weather, but wary that this points to the ever forward marching of time and I'm going to wind up bringing home a newborn and that is scary!
Questions: @ash0625 any chance you have an anterior placenta? I've brought this up in other threads (e.g. this week's questions thread) but I have one this time and my movement is waaaay reduced compared to last pregnancy.
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? There are SO MANY GREAT ONES here!! @EmilyA724 literal rivers of fire cannot express my fury at people who don't return their carts! I definitely have a lot of grammar ones (but I keep that to myself in public forums!), and I hate the sound of loud yawning for some reason.
EDIT - @lilmamabebe3 I hear you! This is my second pregnancy and I feel ENORMOUS. I caught myself in a pre-waddle the other day!
@sourlemon I’ve seen some of those winter pictures in Arizona and it’s crazy!!
@wabash15 I’m glad bedtime went better last night! Is it a rough transition for the fall DST too?
@lilmamabebe3 oh no! I’m sorry the nausea is back! That sucks.
@EmilyA724 ooh! The shopping cart thing so annoys me too!!
@Avrilmai I don’t have any suggestions but I’m glad you asked about maternity workout gear! I need some ideas
@cato99 at least it was a healthy dinner snack!

Upcoming Appointments: first MFM appt today and GD test next Wednesday
How are you feeling?: good Had some weird shoulder pain with a tingly arm and numb hand on Sunday but I think it was a pinched nerve or something
Rants/Raves: MFM appt went good today. We got to see her moving all around. Dr said I won’t go past 39 weeks due to age and IVF, which puts me possibly delivering the first week of school. Fun
Questions:
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? (stolen from group 4) hmmm. How to pick just one? I’ll go with people who are continually late. To me, if I’m on time, then I’m late.

@sourlemon YES! I'm with you on the loud mouth breathing at night. DH does the same thing but ONLY when he is facing me. So I usually ask him to roll over and that makes him stop.
@wabash15 I know! I can't believe we are approaching the halfway mark already! I was telling DH yesterday that I can't believe we found out I was pregnant three months ago! And also - this time next year we will all have 7 month olds
@lilmamabebe3 I'm sorry your nausea is back. I hope it goes away for good soon!
@purplg8r I'm glad your appointment went well! That's so exciting that you got to see her moving around

Upcoming Appointments: Still not sure! My midwife canceled our appointment last Wednesday because she was sick, and said she would contact me soon to reschedule. I still haven't heard from her today so I sent her a message. Hopefully SOON!
How are you feeling?: Allergy season has picked up here in the Central Valley (CA) so I've been slightly miserable. Hormones are keeping me awake late, even when I'm exhausted, so that's fun. Otherwise I've been pretty good!
Rants/Raves: My husband has been amazing and is doing everything he can to make sure I'm happy and taken care of
. I'm a little upset that I haven't heard from my midwife, but I'm also concerned that she might seriously be ill.
Questions: My midwife only okay'd Claritin and Benadryl. Claritin doesn't work for me and Benadryl makes me extremely drowsy the next day, so there's no point in taking either. I want to ask her specifically about Flonase (just need an appointment! grrr). I researched it and it seems to be okay, so I'm confused as to why it wasn't on her list. Do any of you ladies take Flonase?
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? I can't handle the sound of people chewing. Obviously I can't ask that people starve themselves around me (lol), so I need background noise to drown it out! So I guess the pet peeve here is when I'm required to eat in silence
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 8/23 - 16w4d

Upcoming Appointments: have an appointment 3/18 and can’t wait. I get so nervous in between appointments.
How are you feeling?: mostly ok. I’ve been having more headaches that have turned into migraines recently.
Rants/Raves: I’m constantly nervous between appointments that something has gone wrong or they won’t be able to find a heartbeat at the next appointment. I’m scared to let myself get too excited about/attached to the baby.
Questions: what are your go-to remedies for headaches? I’m prone to migraines and not being able to take my prescription rescue meds are starting to take a toll on me. Tylenol doesn’t do much and I don’t like to take more than 1-2 doses a day and not more than 2 days in a row. I try ice packs and sleep and that helps some, but not always.
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve?
Last time I ended up with a prescription for Tylenol 3, and I’m going to ask for some at my next appointment. Limited narcotic use under medical supervision is actually not forbidden.

@sbd2018 I was having migraines for a while. Like literally every day and they wouldn't go away. I asked my ob what i could do and he prescribed me fioricet. It helped.
@foodlovehappiness the medication list my on gave me approves claritin, Zyrtec, Benadryl, tavist, and chloro-trimeton. I was taking singulair (prescription) when I got pregnant and took that up until last week. I stopped taking it because it felt like it was drying things up too much and contributing to my headaches/migraines. I believe I was on Flonase when I was pregnant with one of my boys. So it's definitely worth asking. Are you able to call and leave a message for a nurse or use an online patient portal instead of waiting for an appointment?
On the carts thing, I'd say I put my carts of 80% of the time. If there isn't a cart return within sight of my car and I have all the kids I just try to put it somewhere out of the way. But I don't really feel comfortable not seeing my car when all of my kids are in there. And one of my kids I still carry in and out of store is I don't have a cart. So carrying her plus bags and trying to handle the boys isn't really possible. But I do put it away 100% of the time when I'm alone. Idk, maybe that should have been my FFFC.

Upcoming Appointments: Sono today at noon. Same time next Tuesday and the Tuesday after that. Then ob/mfm/sono the Tuesday after that.
How are you feeling?: Tired.
Rants/Raves: got my thyroid levels back on Monday. They weren't bad. TSH was 2.29 and ft4 was 1.4. I still asked them to up my Levo, which they did. I wanted them to up it to 200 last time when it was obvious my levels were creeping. And that time they upped it to where I was taking 175 every day and then once a week taking an extra half pill, so 187.5. I am hoping this will help with the exhaustion. But I don't actually think this will be the last.dosage increase.

Questions: What is the best way to tell people to not touch your belly?
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? (stolen from group 4)
When people say they want something or want to make changes but then don't put in any effort to get there.
@agpandme if you see them reaching out, just tell them no. You could touch their belly in return... I've heard some people suggest just yelling. I'm not sure why people feel its ok to touch a pregnant woman without asking. You wouldn't walk up to someone else and touch their stomachs...

How are you feeling?: SO much better than in the first trimester. Appetite has picked up (even though I still need to gain back the weight that I lost), movement doesn't make me nauseous anymore, and I think I'm starting to have a little more energy. On the other hand, still trying to get a handle on my anxiety.
Rants/Raves: I bought my first pair of maternity leggings this past weekend, and I never want to wear other pants ever again! I had planned to wait until later, but then my friend was like "don't do what I did and wait until your pants literally don't fit to do maternity shopping, plus you'll love how comfy everything is." Truer words were never spoken. On the rant side of things, why did no one think to warn me that everything would make me out of breath during pregnancy?! I live in a four story townhouse and whooboy, having to be up and down these stairs all day...
Questions: What do you recommend buying new vs. used?
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? Nothing springs to mind at the moment. Which is not to say that things don't frustrate me or that I don't have pet peeves, I just can't think of any right now.
That said, I would be very cautious with car seats. They basically lose their efficacy and guarantee if they've been in any kind of an accident (even if they don't LOOK damaged), so unless you know their exact history you can't be sure that they'll be as safe as the manufacturer promises. The good thing is that if a used car seat is offered to you, you can still accept it and then bring it into a carseat exchange event to get a brand new carseat at a discount (I did this through Target).
Things I would absolutely buy used are most newborn things. So swaddlers, newborn clothes, things like that. If you can find good deals on other stuff like boppy, Bumbo, baby carriers (like tulas, wraps, that stuff) definitely those secondhand. Strollers, wagons, jumpers. Just always check for recalls before purchasing and ask to buy things put together so you can see how sturdy something is and that it has all it's parts and is clean.
