How are you feeling?: Changes by the minute, go back and forth between good and complete exhaustion, also wish this cough would go away.
Rants/Raves: DS#1's birthday is Saturday, so last night I made cupcakes to send to his play group on Friday. Rant: Where did the time go?! Rave: I actually got the cupcakes made not at the last minute, which is my usual MO! Now I just need to make frosting.

GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? People giving unsolicited advice about situations they've never been in.
Also, I'm a week behind you. I wanna know how I'm at na navel orange and you're at an avacado, which is definitely smaller than an orange...

Team Green
Next appointment is tomorrow with the OB. Looking forward to seeing baby again .Even though it's just on the crappy little machine. Got the letter in the mail for our 20 week US appointment too.
Feeling better in a lot of ways. Anxiety is down a bit. Nausea is infrequent. Though still having aversions. 3 days since the last spotting. The last 3 days Ive had a lot of lower left abdominal pain discomfort. I believe it's RLP. Once I figured that out, I stopped freaking out. Tired a lot. It seems I haven't been sleeping well.
Rant: I'm getting stressed about having to get my house ready to sell. Kinda tough when I'm on bed rest...
Rave: DH and I actually sat down to work on baby names. We might have it narrowed down to a few for each sex! Which is a relief.
GTKY: poor grammar is probably my biggest. Yes. I'm one of those people. Haha. I remember asking my mom when I was 6yo how I know when I should use "I" or "me" in a sentence. If a 6 year old can figure it out, why can't adults?! Also, people who say "I seen that". And who can't figure out their/there/they're. Again. Elementary school stuff. (Disclaimer: I have no issue when it's someone who is ESL, or has any sort of developmental disability. But trolls online who cant even type a coherent insult....come on. How am I supposed to take you seriously when I'm busy rolling my eyes?) End rant. Haha.
Oh .And people who don't wash their hands after the bathroom....

Upcoming Appointments: Thursday (3/14), for a check-in with my nurse practitioner. I’m excited to her their heartbeats (maybe get another peek on the portable ultrasound?) - it feels like it has been forever. Also interested to see if they start to measure my belly - I know with my first they didn’t start til 20 weeks, but I already look well past 20 weeks, so I’d be interested to see how big I’m actually measuring 😂
How are you feeling?: I have a lot more energy. Morning sickness subsided, so I switched to prenatal vitamins with iron, and now they’re making me nauseous. I’ve also been super moody and prone to getting very annoyed...so that’s fun.
Rants/Raves: So last week my MIL decided to come visit and only gave me a couple hours notice. I was already a bit stressed with regular life stuff, and we don’t have the best relationship at the best of times. She gets down here and then asks if she can spend the night. I ended up flipping out on DH - told him he needs to set boundaries with her, and that impromptu visits are not ok...she heard us arguing and decided to leave, DH of course got mad at me b/c of it...and the whole incident has just put this dark cloud over everything for the last week. I know I probably over-reacted, but I just don’t have the patience to deal with her and this drama right now.
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve?
I’ll echo @chillycanadian and say that really poor grammar irks me a lot. Also - weird accents / pronunciation of certain words. DH and his family say “worsh” instead of “wash” and it drives me NUTS. People who sit on the left lane on the interstate are super annoying. Oh, and people who don’t keep their commitments...ugh, just ugh.
As I said, I’ve been moody lately, so I could probably come up with a long list of pet peeves right now!

Upcoming Appointments: I think i have a blood draw next week, and then our AS in April
How are you feeling?: Today I feel like garbage. I don't know if it's pregnancy or a touch of something, but I am nauseous and just want to go back to bed for the rest of my life. Seriously thinking about going home and working form home. I have a suuuuuuuuuuuuper chatty coworker, so honestly, i could go home, take a two hour nap, and still probably get more done there.
Rants/Raves: This morning our parking lot at work was glare ice. I called our landlord to get sand/salt put down and he didn't want to do it, saying, "Don't only have a few people coming in today?" So much side eye. I never ask for anything. Ever. The sand is coming though!
Questions:
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? I know it's shallow, but noisy/open mouth chewing. I just can't handle it. Grammar used to really make me crazy, but I guess I have relaxed about it in my old age.
@aecm There should be laws about uninvited house guests especially family. That sounds super stressful.

Anyone else feel like the board has been super slow this weekend? I wonder what's going on...
I also found it slow. Sometimes I would check 8 hours later and nothing had been posted haha. Though I do always find weekends are slower on here.
@mrosek91 Yes to the unsolicited advice!! Really not looking forward to all the comments from my MIL - she’s already bad enough about our dogs! Also I think TB is slow in general on the weekends since most people bump from work? I’m too nervous to bump on a work computer (I work at a school and feel like the internet is likely more monitored than most places?) so I end up bumping from home, usually on mobile, so I spend way more time reading everyone’s posts than I can post myself.
@chillycanadian Grammar bothers me too. I hope your appointment went well today! I’m glad you have some names picked out - are you sharing the ones you’re considering with people? I don’t really want to share our list with family/friends until we’ve decided on a definite.
@aecm Your MIL sounds like a gem. I’m sure mine would be the same way if she lived closer! I hope your H can help to determine boundaries.
@amdogger82 I’m glad you got someone out to fix the parking lots! I would definitely be more productive if I got to work from home - I have a few chatty coworkers that just love to complain.

How are you feeling?: Good but exhausted! Ready to start noticeably showing (I know I’ll regret saying that when I’m large and in charge) and also anxiously awaiting baby kicks!
Rants/Raves: Daylight Savings is the worst! I’m glad for more light in the evenings, but when I have to be at work by 7am, I hate arriving in the dark. It was finally getting light again the past few weeks.
Questions: Has anyone picked a name or a few names yet? We started talking about them and have a list of 5, but I have a current favorite.
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? Flaky/fake people. Including men I’ve dated and friends. I think the worst way to break up with someone, especially if it’s been more than just a few dates, it to just ghost on them. I would much prefer being told “I’m no longer interested” than to just be straight ignored. Same for flaky friends - I had to cut one of my bridesmaids out of my life after 2 years of her flaking out on any plans and again, ghosting. Like no explanation or apology or anything, just stopped responding to texts while making plans or even once plans were made would never follow through. I’m over that ish.
@doggomamma I don't think we will be sharing with people (except probably on here lol) until baby is born. So many ladies on here sharing stories about how family has been awful about the name they chose, and I don't want to deal with that. Once baby is named, they will have to suck it up. Too late to share their crappy opinions about the name 😂
But even without that we wouldn't share, even once the baby is born we don't announce the name until after the formal naming ceremony which for boys is at 8 days, and for girls is anywhere from a day to a week.

Upcoming Appointments: I had one today. Heartbeat was strong (154), did a spina bifada blood draw, and did an early glucose test (which I passed). Saw the hot doctor in the practice (who is my favorite by far just in terms of personality), he is personally furious that we're still waiting on the results of our CVS. I'm losing my mind a little bit (I've been to church 6 times in 11 days).
How are you feeling?: Not as nauseated. Able to drink water again. Gaining weight!!!! (I tend to lose weight in the first tri and I'm always excited when I start to gain).
Rants/Raves: See above about the CVS test. We lost out on a house we really wanted this weekend.
GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve?: Entitled behavior - like when people make up parking spots type of stuff.
@mrosek91 What kind of cupcakes? Now I want a cupcake.
@chillycanadian I’m glad the spotting is much less. If the discomfort is when you move/sneeze/twist it’s probably RLP. I agree the fruits make no sense. They go by length and not weight, which is part of it, but it’s hard to visualize how an avocado could be bigger than an orange. That is so wonderful about the HB!
@aecm Argh, drop-in family visits are kind of my nightmare. We live far enough from folks they don’t happen but my MIL threatens to move here and I would hate that. I’m glad you told YH to set some boundaries.

@dogmomma096 We have a name that has been picked for a boy for a long time, it’s DH’s dad’s name (who is deceased). Once we knew it was a boy there was no more discussion, lol. In any case you have time.

Rants/Raves: I told one of my close friends I am pregnant a couple weeks ago and found out this past week she has told every friend we have in common… even though I told her I wasn’t quite ready. She also told one of our co-workers. I am mostly annoyed because she didn’t tell me she told them, so when I’ve told people they’ve been like, yeah I already know.

GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? This is very specific, but people who make emo posts on FB just so people will ask them what’s wrong. There are probably others but this is the one that never fails to annoy me.
@peachy0709 That's terrible how long you have been waiting for your CVS test. I hope you hear something sooner then expected. I'm sorry about the house too--home buying is such a roller coaster.
@dogmomma096 DH and I randomly really like the same kind of obscure name (we're thinking Althea, Thea for short) but I don't think we will share with family until she's born and named. I don't have the patience bandwidth for everyone's opinion about names.

@mrosek91 I thought the boards were dead too, but I'm not one to talk at all. This pregnancy I feel like I am having a terrible time keeping up with the BMB, though honestly, last time I didn't participate much on my BMB, mainly just a private chat group for TTCAL grads.
I was so proud of myself for being on top of it, and then was about to go to sleep tonight and realized I never made the frosting. Just finished making it, and frosting the cupcakes. Luckily his playgroup is small and I only need half a dozen.
