I’m in total shock. It’s a boy 💙 he’s healthy so that’s all that matters. I have 2 girls already and my sister has 2 nieces so we just assumed my parents would have 5 granddaughters. This is our last baby.
@flowerintherain would love to connect as a fellow infant loss mom, I feel like this is a very (thankfully) low travelled road full of unusual emotions. We had our NIPT today and are awaiting our results and gender. Also, Saylor was one of my top top pics for girl name tho we ultimately settled on Sloane for our angel girl.
Just got the results today from NIPT. Its a boy! We wanted a girl, but are now very excited to have a lil man running around eventually! My brain is in overdrive as to how we are going to do the nursery now! So many ideas!
@kiddiesandkitties yes, it really is. You feel so many things that I guess aren't really normal. Aww, Sloane is pretty. I love S names, but I think I wanna go a different direction with it this time. Are you and DH hoping for another girl or a little boy this time? I know it can totally go either way.
October 2017 May siggy challenge - Parenting fails
@flowerintherain we are hoping for a boy. I have a major fear that if this LO is a girl, I will struggle a LOT more with the infancy stage as it will feel like 'reliving' our past with Sloane and I think the fear will be a lot stronger that the same outcome will inevitably find me. My kids tend to look IDENTICAL as newborns and I think I'll feel like I'm re-parenting Sloane versus a new/different baby. Whereas if it is a boy, I think (hope) that perhaps it will feel like a road never before traveled (we have 3 other girls at home) and maybe that constant fear may weigh on me a bit less. I know it will be there, but maybe will be slightly less debilitating.
@RedBreast35 Congratulations! Did you just have the results in an envelope and bring it to a bakery or did you have someone you know make it for you? I've been trying to think of a cute way for MH and I to find out. I don't want to do a gender reveal with a bunch of people, I just want me and DH. I can't really think of anything besides the cupcake thing. Any ideas ladies?

@LJMoon6 I asked a bakery (Nothing Bundt Cakes - it’s a chain) if they could do a tiny version of a reveal cake since it’s just for DH and I and they said they could decorate one of their “packaged” bundtlets with a color ribbon and a tiny little “it’s a ...” topper and then put the whole thing in a bag so we couldn’t see it. (Spoiler for an example) I think it’s gonna cost less than $8 for one little “custom decorated” bundtlet.
They told me it would only take ~20 mins for them to do so I can just drop the envelope off, go shopping at the grocery store next to them, and then pick it up. It’s prolly the best option for us, lol. Try calling local bakeries and ask if they do small things - a decorated cookie, a couple cupcakes...etc.
Just got off the phone with my OB for bloodwork results. Fraternal boys. I'm kind of in shock. And glad I didn't wait to find out. Bless her heart, the nurse was so worried by my voice. I teased my husband that I had results but would only tell him in person. Luckily, his office is just up the road because he's taking a break to hunt me down for the info. XD
@LJMoon6 what @kiddiesandkittiessaid!! We bought a sleep and play outfit for a boy and girl. Brought them to the office and had our nurse put the correct one in a gift bag. We left the one behind we didn’t need in a gift bag for the next patient having that sex. It was a fun way to find out. We had our son open the gift bag.
So excited for all of you who already know! We won’t find out for another 8 weeks or so, I can’t wait! We have two boys at home and I’m so praying for and hoping for a girl this time... but I will be thankful and in love with whom ever God sends us!
We just got our results... we are having a boy and he is healthy! This is our last baby and we already have a daughter. We are so excited to have one of each! 💙
@nomangos23 HAHA - YUP! I think we’re like, broken. My cousin asked if there was some sort of world record for most girls conceived in a row naturally 🤣
I saw a family of six boys online once...and their seventh baby was a girl! So...I guess what I’m saying is that @kiddiesandkitties you might have to have two more kids to get a boy. 🤣😜🤪

@sahm89 My daughter is 3. Baby is due 9/18 and my daughter was born 11/18. So almost four years apart. How is the dynamic of one of each? Do they get along well?

@kiddiesandkitties I had a classmate in grade school who was one of five girls. Interestingly enough, their father was one of 5 boys.
