@holly321 sounds like FF would be a perfect example of the go home ___, you're drunk theme of this month's siggy challenge
Month/Cycle: 21/19
CD/DPO: 27/13dpiui
Timing: not good enough
Typical LP length: 15 medicated
Testing: might test again tomorrow
R/R: high schoolers are the worst. Yesterday for dinner the students were allowed to go out and eat somewhere nearby. Our hotel is within a shopping mall area in addition to there being a lot of other food options down the street. We always ask that they use the buddy system and go in groups as small as 3 (in the event of injury, 1 person can stay with the injured while the 3rd person gets help).
Anyway, the usual suspect kid decided jaywalking across a 6 lane street/highway with a median. The others in the group (this group was more than 3) including some mentors, had continued down the street to cross at the proper crosswalk. This kid basically thought it was NBD that he did this even if he were to get hit by a car in the street. Like if he were hit, the driver would just get out and check on him. It's like, dude, you're not getting potentially hit by a bicyclist, it'd be A CAR. He claimed the rest of the group was only 2 minutes away from him (because they had to wait for the walk signal) once he was across the street. UHH even 30 seconds away from your group is too far! Especially if you get hit by a car! I don't understand how people can be like this.

@holly321 have fun getting your hair done!
@NYTino24 sorry about your temp drop
Month/Cycle: 28/1 AL
CD/DPO: 19/2 I think
Timing: n/a
Typical LP length: 13
Testing: not
R/R: glad it’s finally Friday! It was warm enough to get outside yesterday and I was finally able to finish clearing the piles of leaves from this past fall. I think we estimated we bagged over 100 bags of leaves total. I told dh I’m hiring someone next time. Although it’s a good workout, it’s just exhausting and a huge time waster.
CS/Q: pretty sure I finally o’d
CD/DPO: 22/7
Timing: Eh
Typical LP length: 12 (predicted on FF this cycle)
Testing: Not hopeful enough for that
R/R: Glad it's the weekend! Restoration team is working on our kitchen, so our house is a disaster! Our stove, dishwasher and fridge are moved into our dining area, so it's nearly impossible to eat at home right now.
My parents are in town, so hopefully we can find some fun things to do this weekend to stay out of the house.
CS/Q: First month back to temping and tracking. I didn't get a temp jump until day 19, but FF estimated O at day 15. I also usually temp after about 4 hrs of sleep, so I'm not sure how reliable it is. We shall see.
Married: 10.15.16
DS BD: 8.20.17
TTC #2 1.1.19
BFP #2 7.3.19
EDD #2 3.13.20
@holly321 I hope you’re happy with whether or not you ended up testing. I stayed in bed for 40 minutes when I needed to relieve myself this morning to attempt to get a more reliable temp. Also, just in the small chance you’re unaware, there is a manual adjust for ff to override o and cover line. I kept trying to change data to make it happen, and failed, so I was happy to find that option.
@inthewoods23 sorry about that one kid being a pain. Can’t they all just follow the very few rules that are in place for their safety?
@kbrown2385 Geez that’s a lot of leaves! My mom refused to have trees in her yard, so i never knew the pain of it until mh and I got this house with three trees. I hate picking up sticks and raking! I hope you feel accomplished at least!
Month/Cycle: 10/10
CD/DPO: 25/3
Timing: napalm
Typical LP length: 12-13
Testing: maaaaaaybe next Saturday if temps get my hopes up
R/R: rave- yay, I can see avatars again! Rant- mh threw someone else’s good news at me unexpectedly. C’mon. He thought that I would find out anyway, so tried the tactic of blindsiding me. Good intentions I guess. Rant 2- the person behind me in self checkout questioned me about my baby making timeline. My response: when my uterus decides to cooperate. I hope she reconsiders asking other strangers in the future. But my irrational brain is telling me that this is a sign from the universe telling me that I must be pregnant at 3 dpo. Let the irrationality and ss commence!
CS/Q: happy to see temp up today since the first couple days post o barely eek up from fp
editted to fix they’re/their
It’s birthday season, so we have a party to go to and then we are celebrating my birthday, MIL’s, and 2 nephews after. My 4 sisters and I are all March / April bdays and I just listed DH’s side. Add in my college thinking it was funny to give people roommates with birthdays on the same day (and sometimes the same name!) and my entire floor had birthdays close together.... so it’s a very busy time of year!
@kbrown2385 I agree that I think you ovulated. Holy crap to those leaves! One of my new house requirements is trees far away on the perimeter where I don’t have to deal with most of them. Right now we have few off from neighbors’ property on each corner and we have to deal with their leaves in our yard.
@inthewoods23 Ahhh kids think they’re invincible until something happens to prove to them that they’re not. Hopefully it won’t be too late for him.
@MrsVP614 Have fun with your parents! I hope they aren’t staying with you during your renovation!
@holly321 I hope your hair looks amazing!

@holly321 yes for hair appointments!!! I hope you get to relax while you get it done and enjoy being pampered a bit. You deserve it!
@inthewoods23 Teenagers are the WORST!!
@kbrown2385 we had someone do our leaves this year and it was the best thing! It can be pretty dang pricey but it was money well spent lol
@MrsVP614 Hang in there during the restoration period... it will be pretty crazy and chaotic for a bit but the end result will be so worth it! Just keep thinking about the finished product!
@kerco925 this week was painfully long! TGIF!

R/R: I'm in such a grumpy mood. It started last night out of no where and I thought it would go away overnight but apparently not, as I woke up feeling the same way. I guess it's just my hormone levels dropping after O meaning that this cycle probably won't be it for us.
CS/Q: What are crosshairs?! I know it has to do with FF and temping, which I don't do, but I've been wondering what it means for quite sometime now LOL

@holly321 - With an LP as long as yours, you can afford to implant late. Hopefully that BFN turns into a BFP soon!
@inthewoods23 - High schoolers can be so immature! They think they are invincible.
@kbrown2385 - Yay for warm weather! I still need to rerake the yard after the rest of the leaves fell. It's one of my favorite times to rake because you finally see the grass that's just barely beginning to grow.
@MrsVP614 - How long is this restoration going to take?? That's got to be frustrating!
@begging4abump - Sorry you had to deal with so much yesterday. Those grocery store blindsides are the worst! Whether it's "when are you going to have a baby" or telling me how many kids I should want to have.
@kerco925 - I'm glad it's Friday for your sake.
@kpearse99 - Cross hairs are when FF has enough info to give you a line for the day of O (vertical line) and a line for the division between your low FP temps and your higher LP temps (horizontal line).

R/R: Last night all of us girls (6 of us) went out and celebrated my mom's birthday! It was a lot of fun and great to hang out with my sisters. We are planning a girls trip on Easter weekend, for the 2nd year in a row. Last year was a blast, and I'm super excited for this year! We've had a rough 10 months or so after we almost lost my younger sister when she passed out and crashed her car. Now we are all discovering we have a genetic heart condition that caused it. I think it links us even more.
CS/Q:
@kpearse99 I hope your mood improves and is not a sign of impending O.
@begging4abump, I do know about override, but I am indeed crazy and prefer my method since it looks better, because that means anything. Insert eye roll. also, I can’t imagine asking a stranger at a store when they plan to have children.

@holly321 Did you redo it bc you normally O around day 10? Also I hope you enjoy your hair appt even if it takes awhile. Self-care! So Important!
@inthewoods23 Fearlessness is a such a teenager thing! I do not envy you for having to work with them, but someone has to so THANK YOU.
@kbrown2385 Glad you got those leaves off your hands! But hiring someone next time sounds gooood. Also, yup, that looks like FF is about to tell you like 2-3 days after like usual that you O'd! Welcome to TWW.
@MrsVP614 MH sleeps sooooo badly that I wake up every few hours, so I am never really sure how that affects my temps exactly, though I know it's bad--however, I am still able to use my temps to detect O, etc., because of the patterns that they make. I hope that helps you feel better about yr after-4-hours temp. Mine's usually like after 2-3, though when I wake up it's never for too too long, I guess? It's frustrating.
@marebear15 That's a lot of sisters, wow! I'm glad you had a lot of fun.

R/R: I think I have a yeast infection? So boo on that. Also, I was sick for a week & then congested for ~3 weeks w/ this nasty cough, so I was avoiding dairy & now... I think I made myself lactose intolerant? I just googled it to make sure I wasn't crazy...and Dr. Google agrees it's possible. -_- / I ordered a "Queen's Delight" supplement from a small biz farm in MA w/ royal jelly, propolis, & bee pollen--their website explained why they package the royal jelly the way they do as compared to raw-- and it came in the mail today (super fast considering I paid the lowest shipping!) w/ a whole bunch of hard candies made w/ their honey-- so cute!
CS/Q: Rocky road over here-- I was benched this semester (lol I am keeping that-- I am such a teacher--) I MEAN CYCLE, so AF coming will be sort of a relief bc we get to move fwd & decide what to do for the next cycle. I am feeling a bit crampy--maybe just my ibs tho? And CD29 is normally a spotting/CD1 for me? But at the same time, I know having a longer rather than a shorter luteal phase is better, sooo hoping AF holds out a bit longer. Anyway, here she is!
@holly321: still SO early!
@atinthewoods23: geesh - this whole family is just a pain!! Amazing when you're mom is over-involved in your life that you can't learn to do your own risk analysis, huh?
@kbrown2385: we paid someone this fall and they did a CRAPPY job so i ended up raking the leaves back out of my flowerbeds in December (they were becoming a soggy mess and I was worried it would kill my landscaping). Then we paid another company to come and do it RIGHT in January. It's expensive, but SO worth it. We have a sweetgum tree too, so now it's gumball time, where all the little spiky seedpods are falling, so those have to be raked, too.
@marebear15: I'm so glad your sister is okay, and that the rest of you could get checked, too. So scary.
@begging4abump: I feel like everyone on the planet is asking about having a baby, and I just want to scream!! You did so good controlling yourself with that nosy busy-body stranger.

CD/DPO: 23/8

Typical LP length: 14
Testing: 3/14 is what I think I've settled on, but I may see what temps are doing next week to guide me. If they start dropping, then I probably won't test.
R/R: I've got a nasty cold, but still need to be at work today, so I'm kind of avoiding everyone.
CS/Q: Not sure how much I believe today's jump. One one hand, due to the cold, I am mouth-breathing, but on the other hand, I was extra-snuggled in my bed this morning (added blankets, cuddly dog). I never really temp in the TWW (usually just to confirm O), so I'm not sure what my "normal" is.
@marebear15 That chart looks beautiful! And vacation with all your sisters, how fun!
@NYTino24 Sorry about the temp drop.... but Have fun with all the celebrations! I’ve never heard of what your college did w birthdays & names—it sounds both amazing and totally nutty!
@kpearse99 I hope the dark mood lifts soon. As @kerco925 said, Yay, It’s the freakin weekend, I’ll cheers to that!
@holly321 Your chart looks great, I totally relate to you testing early!
I don’t know how y’all Patient Patsies in here hold out so long to test; I start at 8 or 9DPO because I just can’t take the suspense & also because the internetcheapies are so cheap that I have no guilt about wasting them (andplusalso I want to have a sip of wine as soon as possible after the stress of the TWW). *TW* Oddly, expensive FRERs have always been the real waste for me, as they have never given me a + till at least the day after missed period, which is like, Duh.*
CD/DPO: 18/7
Timing: Lame
Typical LP length: 10-13
Testing: Starting this Sunday
R/R: A rave to make up for my rant yesterday: My hematologist and regular doctor have been amazingly supportive throughout this process, whereas I felt less support from my OB & RE. Thank goodness for advocates!
CS/Q: My chart is making me get a little hopeful, but I have zero symptoms and my logic is also blaming the addition of the progesterone (that I keep talking about) for the temps. Has anyone experienced noticeably different or higher temps on progesterone?
Not sure if this needs a *TW: successful PG vaguely mentioned and Loss mentioned*. Basically, after my late loss I learned that I have two gene mutations that can both affect blood-clotting. These are the very common MTHFR mutation (there are several very common varieties of this mutation) and the less common but potentially devastating PAI-1 mutation (there are a few variations of this too). These mutations aren't routinely checked for in RPL because one is so common in the general population and the other is supposedly so "rare"--many doctors write them both off as insignificant. I did my fair share of research and was lucky to find several support groups with TONS of women with the same mutations--it's not so rare after all, just expensive to make it into a routine test. And almost all these ladies have such sad stories of RPL, and then success stories once they're put on baby aspirin and Lovenox or Heparin (both blood-thinning injections). Like, perfectly healthy women in their 20s and early 30s having 11, 14, or 17 MCs and then finally a miracle once they get on the thinners. (There are even women in these support groups with no known blood-clotting disorders who convince their docs to prescribe Lovenox and they are having success.)
When I found out about my mutations I thought I had my answer and some hope. But my OB wasn't familiar, so she referred me to my RE who also wasn't very familiar and said the mutations were insignificant, and then I had two MFMs say the risk of the Lovenox outweighed its benefit. They would not prescribe it. Sadly, I had my 2nd recent loss right after that last appointment. My regular GP listened to my concerns and referred me to a hematologist. I met with one who was familiar with MTHFR; he did his research on PAI-1 after we met. He said absolutely, I need the Lovenox, and he prescribed it for me. So, that's my long answer of why I have a hematologist and also why I have so much hope for a three's-a-charm chance at this.
If anyone wants to know more about which groups to join online or needs resources or has any questions, feel free to send me a private message and I will share all I can.
@holly321 Sorry about the BFN. Hope your hair appt made you feel better today!
@inthewoods23 FX for you lady. And anyone dealing with lots of kids/teenagers deserves an award. Kudos to you!
@kbrown2385 that is far too many leaves!! I hate doing the leaves, and would totally hire someone next year.
@MrsVP614 hope the kitchen renovations won't take too long! We've been there, done that! I was doing a metabolic reset cleanse during the middle of ours- I bought a bunch of to go containers so I could still make my food, but it was crazy. I was SOOOOO glad to have our kitchen back!
@begging4abump Sorry about that awkward and rude interaction with the stranger.....People are just so clueless....however, I've been in that person's shoes and totally put my foot in my mouth a time or two- not even thinking about it. We are all human- and some people are really just clueless.....but it still hurts, and I can recognize that.
@kpearse99 Sorry about your mood- hopefully it has or will improve over the weekend. I'm a huge advocate for working out!! It makes such a major impact on my mental and emotional state of mind.
@marebear15 good timing for you this month!! And I'm so glad you were able to spend that time with your sisters. I miss my sisters terribly- and they are only about 3 hours drive away.....I was talking to my little sister everyday on the phone after work but since I changed jobs- we have different hours- and It's not as convenient as was before. I miss that. Miss my sister!!!
@kagesstarshroom Sorry about the yeast infection and the being sick!! Not fun!! I can relate to AF coming as being a relief and a sign you can finally start moving forward. Hugs to you.
@lcking82 snuggly dogs in bed are the best!! Our dog sleeps on my right hip- almost every night. At least that is how we start off. It's been that way for years. And sorry you aren't feeling well!!
@keikilove Glad that you feel supported from someone on your medical team and have people who are willing to hear you out!! We often know our bodies best!! And I'm so sorry that you've had to go through all that you have. Hugs girl!!
Month/Cycle: 4/4 (1 AL)
CD/DPO: CD 20/6 DPO - although this is yet to be determined I think- so I need some input ladies!!
Timing: potentially good- could have been better.....although we did HIO 2 x back to back on CD 14.....our house guest was gone for Friday and Saturday afternoon.
Typical LP length: 13 days
Testing: no plans to test- waiting on temp drop I believe- I can't handle multiple BFN's
R/R: I've given lots of info in all my other details! I had an issue with my CB advanced test- and I'm SOOOOO glad that someone else mentioned that the tester themselves "die" because I had no clue that this happened.....Also glad that you ladies encouraged and educated me to use the tester again when I was heavily debating it because I maybe would have completely missed ANY chances we had- then again- who knows what is actually going this month. I was using the wondfo type OPKs as well as the CB advanced pretty much from when I started using them this go round- and using the wondfo's 2 x a day. I was pretty sure I saw a pretty significant 2nd line on the wondfo around CD 12- but I really thought that was impossible.....I don't think I was testing multiple times a day yet on CD 12 either. Well- then got the blank on the CB. You ladies encouraged me to use them again the next day vs skipping a day on CD 13- got a solid smiley I'm pretty sure on CD 14. Well then the stupid tester unit itself died on CD 15......got a new one that day- however it was late at night- but I did use it- and got blanks. I used it 2 x because i assumed I get a blank one being it was a new test "unit". But both were blank circles. If I put a negative OPK on CD 16- FF has my O date on CD 14. If I put nothing in the OPK spot on CD 16- FF changes O date to CD 16- based on my temps......I'm trying really hard not to really think too far into any of this- or get worked up about it- but FF is also saying weird stuff about expected CD 1 and when to test- the days are one day apart- which i'm pretty sure it hasn't done before??? I'm over it. But would love ya'lls input on what you think. I'm PRETTY sure that the wandfo OPKS were negative on CD 16- so I really think CD 14 is accurate. Early- but I think more accurate than CD 16.
CS/Q: Oh- whoops-........see my R/R- and pretty please with sugar on top- look at my chart
As for your chart question, I agree w @begging4abump re: what frustration! & chart cervical mucus if you can. CD 14 looks right to me, but I’m also really curious as to whether you tried a wondfo on CD15? Also, is it possible for the new CB to give a blank at first because it doesn’t have any prior data to go off of so it’s setting a baseline with your first readings? (I’m totally guessing here, I’ve never used that kind. It’s a dumb question if it legit just looks for LH.) Because here’s another scenario: if the H you saw on CD14 was High, and the day 15 you didn’t really get to record was Peak (say, in the morning), you could’ve ovulated on CD15 or 16. I always have a temp drop the day before ovulation which is why I’m proposing this possibility.
Oooor, what if the positive you saw on CD12 really was High, and sometime that night or next morning was maybe a Peak, and then nothing on OPK strip the next day because you were O on CD14? But that theory doesn’t line up w your CB detector. Sorry if I’m only adding confusion!
Also, totally aside, but there are 2 free apps that will interpret your OPK sticks in an instant with a quick picture taken on your phone. You can literally get a number rating LH intensity, and watch your numbers increase each day so you don’t have to guess how much “more positive” each stick is from one day to the next. These apps are Femometer and Premom. There are probably others out there too but these are the ones I use. Good luck, hope your timing was great!
