3rd egg retrieval husband going on vacation with his Mom

I’m trying my 3rd egg retrieval in April and my Husbands Mom is going away for three weeks to London. She use to travel all the time with my husband. I made a comment a few weeks ago to her that my husband can go with her during my 3rd egg retrieval because I think he is having a hard time with it. But I wasn’t really serious. Now they are planning on going away. I have to take 3 new medications that I’m nervous about. Who in their right mind would think leaving their wife to go on vacation with their mother is normal?? Am I overreacting?

    I can understand your frustrations for sure. I know IVF is a hard time for both parties. I would just sit down and talk to him. If you said that he COULD go, he must have taken you seriously. I would just let him know you aren't comfortable with it.

    That's really hard. I'm sorry you are in this situation. It sounds like you are both having a hard time with this. Maybe you need to have a discussion with your husband about how you feel. We will all be here with you through the new medications and anything else you need.

    Thank you. I did tell him but I was angry now I feel bad. Maybe he should go if that what will make him happy. I’m going to feel guilty about making him stay at home with my emotional mess.
