Prenatal Yoga Recommendations

Hi everyone! This is a very specific question, but I’m hoping someone can help me. Does anyone have a recommendation for online (youtube is probably the most likely) prenatal yoga? I practiced in a studio for 5 years, and then did Yoga with Adrienne up until getting pregnant, but I’m looking for yoga videos specifically geared towards pregnancy, and Adrienne doesn’t have any. Of course there’s a million different choices on YouTube, but I’d love to weed a few out or try a few based on recommendations from fellow moms. Any recommendations?

Do you have Amazon Prime? I know there are some available there and the reviews might be helpful in weeding out which ones are good.

@thatbaintforbetty I didn’t even think of that! That’s a great idea though! Yes, we adore our amazon prime.

@katlarissa I sadly haven’t tried any, I actually keep telling myself that I will and never get around to it.

Also I was going to say if you don’t have prime get it now cause it’s super awesome for baby stuff. Lol

I'll be honest, I haven't been able to find a good prenatal yoga class/online program. I find everything I've tried is so low impact that it's almost too easy, and I don't really get much out of it. I've continued to attend regular yoga classes, but make adjustments for poses that are more difficult / impossible. For example, I've really got to spread my legs apart in child's pose and forward folds, and while other students are doing back strengtheners on their bellies, I'll just do a few cat/cows, maybe some other stretches on hands and knees.

That’s what I did with previous pregnancies, but I’m somewhat nervous making those adjustments on my own, and my yoga studio doesn’t provide childcare. 😂

Here’s the playlist I’ve been using off and on. I’m bummed Adrienne doesn’t have any either, since she’s who I follow when not prego. Some are faster, some are slower flows. Mostly I followed them more in the beginning and then used the poses from them as inspiration to do my own practice with whatever poses and modifications I liked from them.

@HGRich thank you! I really didn’t find anything great on prime, so I appreciate you linking this for me!

I’m a prenatal yoga teacher and if you want a truly challenging class I recommend Jane Austin. She has a couple of classes online you can purchase, and she gives out a code for half off her classes right from her website or if you email her. I loathe “gentle” prenatal yoga and my regular mode of exercise is HIIT if that gives you any reference. Here is her website. Good luck!

I tried all of the ones available through Prime and thought they were pretty bad-- some of them I didn't finish because I found them too obnoxious.

Personally, I'd say that the ones from @HGRich ' s playlist are all much more worthwhile, even if they're a bit short. I've definitely just repeated the sequences from some of the Sara Beth videos a few times to get a longer session*.

Here are a couple others on youtube that I found and kinda liked:

Also, if you want something more on the challenging side: this teacher, Leigha Butler, is clearly currently pregnant so, her latest videos might all count as "prenatal" https://www.youtube.com/user/butlerl2/videos

@mesweettea Thanks for the recs! Tried the first alo  yoga video you linked since I  didn't make it to my live prenatal  yoga class.  Feels good to move and it was easier than making something up myself. Will try the Sarabeth yoga next.
