How far along / EDD? 36w4d / Inducing on the 25th unless something happens before then.

How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling good, just big!

Upcoming appointments? Tomorrow, meeting with a new pediatrician that's closer to home. Thursday have another sonogram / reg check-in to see if there's any changes from last week's scan.

GTKY: Anyone on maternity leave or have a leave date scheduled? Just started my leave. It was nice not having to get up this morning for anything other than my dogs

But now in high gear to get my nesting / cleaning on while I can.

@kristimh80 the 25th will be here soon! Can i ask was it your choice to start your leave, or in your workplace is that normal? I just ask as I think about mine in the summer, I'm currently self employed but i'm been working a lot with one company recently to help them and i'm trying to decide when I'll stop working for them--don't know if i should plan it a couple weeks before or just wait until baby comes with a good plan in place.

Happy Monday, everyone!!

How far along / EDD? 36 weeks, 3 days today. EDD 3/29.
How is everyone feeling this week? Just tired, but otherwise good.
Upcoming appointments? Thursday, I have a BPP and then OB visit.
GTKY: Anyone on maternity leave or have a leave date scheduled? Nope, not yet! My plan is to work right up until she gets here because I need to save all of my sick/vacation time to try to be paid as long as possible for my leave (I plan to take 10 weeks of leave and probably half will be unpaid as it is, ick). I'm getting close to finalizing my plan for while I'm out and I'll feel a lot better once that's done - the woman I supervise will be handling the bulk of my day to day stuff, but thankfully it's a good time of year for me to be out and there shouldn't be too much she has to deal with.

Adding this in for anyone who is interested - one of my best friends is coming over this weekend and we're going to make as many freezer meals as we have time to make!! So far on my list of things to make that will be easy to heat up when Baby Girl gets here: mini turkey meatloaves, chicken/zucchini meatballs (THESE ARE SO GOOD: https://www.onelovelylife.com/chicken-zucchini-poppers-gf-df/), baked chicken nuggets, egg cups for breakfast, baked oatmeal for breakfast (cut into individual portions before freezing). And I'm also hoping to chop up a bunch of carrots/celery/onion/peppers as well as cube up some chicken to keep in the freezer so it will be easy to throw them into the crock pot or instant pot for soups/chili/etc.

So if you have good freezer meals, share them! And I'm sorry if we covered this already (I feel like it's come up before), but I figure you can't have too many ideas.

How far along / EDD? 36 weeks - April 1

How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling good! Belly has REALLY popped. I feel huge and unbalanced but nothing much else to complain of except the ever present heartburn.

Upcoming appointments? Quick OB check-up today. I'm GBS positive

kind of upset about that. I have an u/s tomorrow and a non-stress test next Monday.

GTKY: Anyone on maternity leave or have a leave date scheduled? Two more weeks of work for me! I'm going out 2 weeks before my due date. (I'm lucky to have a full year of leave, so I don't have to worry about cutting into time with the baby. Very grateful for this!!)

@uterusdreams, I'm also planning to do a bunch of freezer meal prep when my mat leave starts. I was thinking of making a bunch of these breakfast muffins https://sweetpeasandsaffron.com/7-healthy-breakfast-egg-muffins-freezer/

@blackhottamales It was my choice to take leave early. I had a feeling the baby would probably come earlier than the due date and wanted to be able to get all my house in order before she came. Plus just wanted to be relaxed and ready as a whole. I'm not getting paid maternity leave, so had already planned for that. I guess I'm lucky because my work isn't expecting me back at any certain date. I was able to train someone that's taking over my position, so can go back at the end of Summer if wanted to.

Hopefully, as you get closer, your doctor can help guide you in the right direction. I know mine was strict that I wasn't allowed to go past my due date, so it's def worth discussing!

@scikap Sorry about the GBS! Luckily, it only adds some antibiotics to be added when you're in labor, so nothing crazy, besides an extra IV

Your maternity leave is awesome!!

I considered doing freezer meals, but MH loves Omaha Steaks too much and there's like a whole store in mine lol So we'd need an extra freezer...luckily my mother lives close! lol

@scikap sorry about the GBS! But they can definitely make sure they handle that, so hopefully it's a non-issue. Still stressful though! And thanks for sharing the recipe for the egg muffins!

@kristimh80 We got an Omaha steaks gift set for Christmas and I wish we'd kept it, that would be so nice to have on hand when baby gets here!! We have a bonus fridge/freezer in our basement so have a little extra room, which is great - of course it's pretty full right now just of random stuff, so I need to do a check of that/clear-out... ugh.
