The a/s will be our first time seeing/hearing baby so I would probably cry if they delayed it 😂

Questions: for those feeling the baby move, how regularly are you feeling it?
GTKY: what was your favourite thing to do at recess when you were a kid? Depends on the age. I really enjoyed tetherball😉! I could also play a mean game of chicken fighting on monkey bars! I don’t think kids are allowed to do that anymore.
Baby is the size of a(n): Pomegranate
Upcoming Appointments: Regular check on the 14th and A/S on the 20th
How are you feeling?: Still really sore in the groin area and with the round ligament pain. I don't remember it being this bad with my first. I am also not sleeping well, which I think makes everything worse. Thankfully the nausea is gone for the most part though!
Rants/Raves: A co-worker is making baked potatoes for us tomorrow and I am sadly so excited about it!
Questions: Anyone else in a position where they are trying to gain a very minimal amount of weight due to beginning their weight, or maybe even lose throughout pregnancy? I was heavier than I should be when I got pregnant so I am trying hard to be very mindful of that. I have lost 8 lbs so far, but safely by eating much better and moving more. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.
GTKY: what was your favourite thing to do at recess when you were a kid? four square or volleyball, when we got older we liked to play football with the boys!
8/5, 17w

Rants/Raves:
9 more school days til spring break. We're in the single digits, hooray!
Questions:
GTKY: what was your favourite thing to do at recess when you were a kid?
I was either on the swings or playing games with my friends.
@olivemomma very random sporadic movements. Probably every day but is hard to say. I didn't feel him/her until going to bed yesterday street going the whole day with nothing. Every pregnancy is different too. Done have a slow start and others is like once you feel them you feel them a lot. DS I didn't even feel until 18+4, the day after the anatomy scan!
@cam1027 I echo Olivemomma. It's not that uncommon to lose weight in first tri, but I wouldn't suggest trying (even in healthy ways unless doctor ordered and monitored) to lose weight in second or third tri. Between baby, placenta, fluids, growing uterus and blood supply, etc there's actually a considerable amount of weight added during a pregnancy. So to lose weight in the numbers means you're actually losing a LOT of weight all at once. I've heard of some doctors recommending minimal weight gain and/or maintaining in some more extreme cases. But I've never heard of a recommendation to actually lose weight. Please be careful!

Oh yea, I totally understand! I guess I shouldn’t say I am actively trying but at my first appt my doctor and I had a discussion about my weight. I live in a very rural area so we don’t have a lot of hospitals around us, and the ones we do are relatively small. The issue was if I gained too much more weight I would have to be sent to another hospital, about an hour and a half away, for care and delivery. I think this scared me into making better food choices, far from perfect choices but better, and so far it has resulted in losses. At my last appointment I asked my dr if I should be concerned and she told me no because it’s not like I am crash dieting, I have just really been snacking on fruit, which is almost a craving and gave up soda which was a terrible habit. I do plan to get moving more once it starts to warm up and I can get outside so I am just trying to be very aware I guess!
Thanks for the messages though, and sorry for the delay in response! The bump has changed so much since I had DS and was active, I am still trying to figure it out on this sucky app!
