Oh man I am ready for this. Whyyyy do people think that wherever they are going is more important thank stopping for a school bus with its lights flashing?!?!
Today as DD (6) was getting on her bus a big ass truck flew right by going 60+mph. This happens constantly and her amazing bus driver always slams on the horn. We live on a 55 mph road that people are always insanely impatient while driving on. In our state bus laws are practically nonexistant so kids can be asked to walk any distance , cross main roads, be on the bus for unreasonable lengths of time, etc... Originally DD was supposed to walk a few houses down this crazy busy road with no sidewalks then cross the 55mph main road where there are no crosswalks for miles. Her amazing bus driver fought the transportation dept to move her stop to our driveway because she sees people blow by her stopped bus all the time and wants to keep kids safe. DDs afternoon bus ride is 80-90 minutes. So ocassionally we will get her from across the street if we need to be somewhere or sometimes those kids will come over in the morning if they are running late and it freaks me out because people are selfish jerks on the road.

DS#2 is my good sleeper, the one who actually naps, but today, when our nanny called out due to snow, and DH and I are trying to work from home and watch the boys he has fever and will only sleep if one of us is holding him. And this started at 3 am this morning...
Why can't people look up from their phones JUST long enough to walk down the stairs, when there's a huge crowd of people behind them? Just 10 seconds, people!
@allycat That is awful! I saw a video a while back about someone who called the police & the police came out the next day & stopped everyone who didn’t pull over!
