We have our heart set on the Uppababy Vista stroller. It's SO pricey, but we love the convenience of the features. I'm pretty sure it qualifies for the discount off of my registry if nobody buys it. We didn't add it yet because we felt uncomfortable having something that pricey listed. My plan was to add it after my shower and then hope it still qualifies for the discount. Anyone ever find a better deal on these?
Re: Anyone ever find a deal on Uppababy Vista stroller?
(1) I had my heart set on the uppababy vista too until we actually tried it out. We ended up liking the the city mini gt (size and ease of closing/opening). I added the pram to the registry too because May baby = lots of outdoor walks while he's an infant. If/when baby #2 comes along I might consider a stroller that can convert to a double rider. So if you've had your hands on the uppababy I am not trying to dissuade you but if you haven't I'd practice opening and closing and thinking how much space it may take up in your car when you travel.
(2) I put expensive things on my registry - there may be some people who want to do a group gift and that's a GREAT option for people who want to buy you something meaningful and useful. (Because, how many bibs and blankets do you really need!) This is your time to celebrate and plan for your baby so I wouldn't feel hesitant to add something you think is too expensive. I've gotten a lot of eye rolls and feedback from my family members that think our furniture was too expensive, but I like it, my husband likes it and we're prepared to buy what we want if other people aren't comfortable gifting it.
Good luck!
I live in the Bay Area and there are always Vistas for sale used on it.
