Why my Pregnant Self is Crying w/o 2/15/19

What’s causing the tears this week?

Re: Why my Pregnant Self is Crying w/o 2/15/19

  • I do not have enough patience to be a mother to toddlers.

  • Because I watched Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince last night, and despite the fact that I've read the book AND seen the movie several times, I still bawled my eyes out at the end. I didn't even cry when I read the book for the first time when it first came out, but because I am pregnant and feeling all the feels, I did last night. Lord.

  • Because work is overwhelming today and I feel like an air traffic controller and I can't actually do my job. Also the water fountain is broken and I'm thirsty. I closed my door and cried in my office. Is it time to leave yet?

  • 1. My teenager is on what I hope is a rebellious streak and not the new norm.
    2. We visited my grandma today and she didn’t know who I was. I’ve heard from others her memory is failing, but it hit me extra hard. 😢
  • Watched a music video called winter bear.

Do yourself a favor. Dont do it.
  • Listened to the baby’s HB on the home Doppler. 😭
  • Read that at 16 weeks the baby is the size of your palm, looked at my hand and started tearing up. DH found me crying and asked me why...
  • I am not an emotional person at all and haven’t cried at all yet during my pregnancy but today I teared up and almost had a breakdown. I’ve know what I wanted my main announcement pic to be for years—an ear hat picture in front of the castle at Disney. I made early breakfast reservations so we could get in early before the crowd.  We showed up early today and it was Extra Magic Hours so there was people everywhere.  We managed to get a good pic but there was a minute there where I sat down and almost lost it
  • I was reading another thread where people are stressing over daycare.
I cried because it's unfair that women in the USA get such shitty mat leave/support and it's unfair. and I feel terrible for all of you dealing with that.
Apparently my hormones decided that is tear-worthy.
  • We went to a concert Sunday night and a couple got engaged. The tears came so quickly and MH laughed at me (rightfully so!).

@chillycanadian THANK YOU. I’m in the club of stressed out over finding childcare. It does bring me some comfort that my city council has recognized what a huge problem it is in our city, and they’re actively trying to create policies to make it cheaper and easier to run a childcare facility.
  • Not to get political, but did anyone see Elizabeth Warren wants universal childcare?? Sign me up!! I’ll gladly pay more in taxes if I don’t have to make an extra mortgage payment to send one kid to daycare!
  • @zamora_spin That will always be a valid reason to cry!  💜

I forgot to put a note in my husband’s lunch box wishing him well in his first day of his new job.
  • @thirdtimesacharm2019 oh, that's heartbreaking about your grandma.  I'm so, so sorry!  :'(
@purplg8r so glad you got the picture!!
@hey_clever_girl I'm a crier and that book and movie ALWAYS get me--especially when pregnant!
@zamora_spin most beautiful sound in the world!!

DD has just discovered Tinkerbell and there's this movie on netflix called Legend of the Neverbeast (or something like that). And after saving the day, the Neverbeast has to hibernate for 1,000 years at the end of the movie and they'll never see him again because they'll all die.  They give him a really lovely send off and I SOBBED while watching it.  Meanwhile DD got bored and asked if we could watch Rapunzel next. I got a little misty writing this :eyeroll:  I am not sure that I'm actually an adult anymore...

@mwmiller4 a few weeks ago I was watching Leap with DD and there's a big dance at the end where the girl really proves herself and I cried so hard.

A year ago DD accidentally got kicked in the face and it fractured her front tooth. We've been watching it for a year and today we found out they're going to have to pull it. Because I'm pregnant I won't be able to be in the room with her during it. Cue me fighting back so many tears in the dentist office.
