I'm sure we all have some type of to do list going right now. Let's share them so we can be motivated! Less than 5-6 weeks until some of our babies start to make their (scheduled) appearances.
So, we've already completed one to-do list. Furniture is set up, glider/bouncer are out and cleaned, all the clothes are hung up or in the right drawers, basement finished and all appropriate toys have been moved down there.
Next up: Taxes Get breast pump Freezer meals Car seat/bases cleaned and installed Pack hospital bags Clean cars Figure out plans for DD and dogs for day of (I have a feeling DH will be going back and forth a lot but my mom will be back up) Stock up trip to Target (hygiene items for the hospital, post birth needs
As overwhelming as it is to see how much we have left to do, I love lists because they give me a sense of control and order, so here we go....
To do: Sand the nursery walls, then paint, put down carpet, and move in furniture/everything else! Hospital tour Clean out my car and install infant base closer to April (I drive my nephew some days so don't have room for the infant seat yet) Finish packing hospital bag
Girl you know this is me. 1. FINISH THE ATTIC. -Finish electrical -Lay sublfloors -Hang drywall -Paint -Carpet 2. Clean out the spare dresser that will go up to the attic for DS to use. 3. Clean out DS's closet 4. Finish the hospital bag - pack a bag for DS and a bag for DH 5. Strip and wash cloth diapers 6. Wash preemie/NB clothes 7. Finalize plans for a deep cleaning 8. Organize a cabinet low down to ensure DS has quick access to his plates/cups/bowls/snacks 9. Go to BJs and get all the things the DH never considers but that we need to function as humans. And some snacks. 10. Freezer meals.
I can probably knock out 2, 3, 4, and some of 5/6 this weekend. BJs trip will be the weekend of 2/23 since DS will be across town. 8 &10 are like, real low priority for me. Once DH finishes DSs new room, I will need to do all the nursery stuff (assemble two cribs, put away appropriate clothing/books etc.) Oh! I just remembered we have a shelf downstairs we can use for all of DS's books. That'll be good.
To Do: - Finish Nursery (Paint 1 painting, hang some stuff) - buy all the stuff left on my amazon list - clean bottles and toys - Clean out car and install infant base - Hospital bag - Finish Taxes - Daycare registration - HR Paperwork - Find DD a Dentist
Me: 32 DH: 31
TTC #2 since January 2018
Baby #1 DD Born 8/25/2016 BFP: 8/11/18 Due: 4/26/18
Things that have to be done by like early/mid March: Go get baby hand me downs from friend (I’ve been putting this off cause it’s snowing at her place, I have 4wheel drive but it would still take me a full day) install car seat Pull out all DDs baby clothes -sort and wash Buy bassinet/diapers/wipes/more preemie clothes/bath tub/baby hygiene and meds/thermometer (unless I find ours) finish taxes order breast pump freezer meals buy pads/PP things pack hospital bag Clean out/pack up unneeded closet stuff to have room for baby things sort through toys/pack up unused
things that should be done by April/May: a/c in car charged DH school paperwork misc car stuff done figure out DDs school stuff
Assuming DH gets a job in the near future we still might move beforehand or over my ML. If so that would add finish packing apartment to the list. I don’t like it but I accept that it might have to happen.
And double check with my parents to remind them to feed/visit the cat.
I’m sure there’s more but this is what comes to mind.
this is my backup acct. prevously helloblueeyes

Aaaaah to-do: - Wash and store clothes, swaddles, sheets - Wash and store cloth diapers - Pick up bassinet from nice lady on fb marketplace - Make DH arrange to get changing table from his friend - Begin to think about a hospital bag lol - Buy remaining furniture from Ikea - Buy remaining baby supplies incl car seat (completion discount at end of February...) - Schedule summer dentist cleaning appointment
I have a big ikea order to put in, since there’s a lot of stuff we can’t really put away until we have a place to put it, and it’s driving me crazy. I’d like to get some blinds on the nursery windows, but at this rate DH will never get it done so I’ll just make sure we have curtains... Thank goodness I’m in group 4!
I love lists lol 1) wash all of DDs clothes and sort them 2) turn playroom back into nursery which means put toys in kids rooms and put furniture back in nursery 3) pack hospital bags (I already have a list for this) 4) Buy some diapers and other newborn supplies 5) touch up walls in living room 6) order new pump from insurance 7) sign DS up for preschool next year 8) make appt with tax lady (I already have everything organized) 9) make baby blanket and more burp cloths 10) once everything’s done go to target to get any supplies I still need 11) convince DH that we need a new double stroller since he hasn’t fixed ours since it broke 8 months ago 12) slightly panic over the logistics of going from 2 to 3 kids 13) pedicure and massage 14) sleep
I feel like I’m missing some important things but I’ll just blame pregnancy brain lol
It’s kind of nice seeing how others have a lot to do too. Haha. Was feeling pretty behind.
1. Sand walls, prime, then paint them in DD’s room. 2. Move in her new bed, decorate. 3. Purchase her furniture and assemble it. (Dresser, toy storage) 4. Move all of her stuff from the nursery to her new room 5. Finish sorting and washing this kid’s clothes, see what I still need to buy, put them away. 6. I won’t be having a shower, so once his room is ready I’ll use the registry completion discount on amazon to get him some things, including a few burp cloths, sheets, and a boppy cover that aren’t ultra girly. Plus some breastfeeding supplies, a couple new nursing tanks, etc. 7. Pack hospital bag 8. Finalize birth plan and print it 9. Make a couple freezer meals/lactation cookie dough 10. Pick a name for this kid 11. Clean out infant car seat and get the base installed 12. Pick out what delicious meal I want to inhale when I’m GD free.
Bonus: deep cleaning in master bedroom and basement so that doesn’t feel like an overwhelming task looming over me in the newborn days.
Possibly: get DD into the dentist before baby is here. DD’s birthday is two weeks before this one is due, so I’m thinking I’ll plan a low key, family only party because screw a big party when I’m 38 weeks pregnant.
Non-Baby Related: 1. Get my vehicle inspected this month 2. Schedule our taxes to be done (sorry @mrstmoose) 3. Renew my business license 4. Clean and decide on what to do with the bedroom that BIL will hopefully move out of (I'm consdering making it into a play room/dim and cozy nursing room) 5. Clean out and organize our shed
Baby Related: 1. Wash baby's sheets, clothes, and diapers (I am most excited about this step) 2. Sterilize bottles, pacis, pump parts, Nose Frida, etc. 2. Decide with DH who will be on our Visitors list for post-delivery and decide on a timeframe for visitors 3. Install a drying line outside 4. Pack our bags 5. Put in the car seat (planning to do this around 37 weeks)
