  • Happy Friday!! Didn’t have time to log on yesterday because I had an all day meeting so I’m a bit delayed:

    @ruby696 happy belated birthday!

@kels0091 I’m assuming your birthday is today since you said yours are a day apart? If so happy birthday (or belated if it was Wednesday)!

@kiki047 omg your dog is hilarious and adorable. I love all your stories about him

@creamcheeseplease yay for being able to cut out early! And win for finding the hot water sink. I’d definitely be interested in a healthy habits check in to keep me in check. I had white cheddar popcorn and fruit snacks for lunch yesterday  :#
  • @creamcheeseplease why is it so rare to find warm water in a public/office bathroom?? Seriously! Glad you found the "good" bathroom 😄

  • @kels0091 Happy Birthday! Hope you had an awesome day!

@creamcheeseplease We did have a healthy habits check in. Anyone is free to go ahead and start it off, so feel free to add one for the month/week if you wish.
  • Hahahahaha @kels0091 MH always asks me how old he is. Like all the time. He’ll be like wait, am I 40 or 41? 😆
  • @kels0091 I turn 30 in a few months and I'm just like, am I really that old?? Damn lol

  • Happy birthday @kels0051!! You definitely deserve 2 different celebrations. I'm older and wiser so I'm right  ;)
  • Happy birthday @kels0091!! I typically celebrate my birthday week and highly recommend multiple days of celebration  :)
  • @b_1029:  happy birthday!!!  I used to be SO confused how people forget how old they are. But then, as I approached 30, I started “rounding up” in my head. Now I have to do the math every time I think about it!!
  • @lcking82 I do the same roundup thing and then every year get confused on how old I’m turning.

Also I just stopped at the grocery store on my lunch break and bought chicken tenders, tater tots, and frozen pizzas... oops  :#
  • @lcking82 @kopp5988 Why on earth would you round up your age!?  I do forget how old I am and have to do the math, but no rounding up allowed!

  • @shamrocandroll:  meh...I’m past my prime anyway!  I’ll be (calculating....) 37 in March.  The rounding wasn’t on purpose, but was SO easy at 30 and 35. Don’t worry - I don’t round up to 40 (yet...)!

  • @shamrocandroll :D it’s more so in my head, like I’ll keep thinking I’m almost 31 almost 31 and then when my 31st birthday hits I’ll be like wait? Am I 31 or 32?

@brookert615 lol I wish we could pause aging, and pausing it around 25 would be great thanks
  • @brookert615 - Exactly. 22, 23, 24, 25 all just kind of melded together and I could never remember how old I was. Now that I'm 26, I seem to be remembering it a little bit better. Having half of my 20s over just hit me hard, lol.
  • TW, loss mentioned....

So when I returned here on Nov, I ranted about a company that showed up essentially demanding payment on my very first day back to work AL (after telling them Thur before finding out about said loss that I would look into it). Well, that effing company is saying we still owe them from back then. We don't. I've now twice provided proof of payment. I'm clearly triggered by them and become very very aggravated. I'm making the guys play middle man because I absolutely cannot talk to them. I will forever hate them.
  • @prpl11butterfly I'm so sorry you have to continue to deal with them and that it's become triggering for you.  Sending creepy internet stranger hugs your way.

  • @prpl11butterfly OMG I remember that story. They were very annoying and can totally understand why they are still a trigger for you, and likely always will be. Like that little stone that shows up inside your shoe and you can't seem to get rid of. The guys can take care of that for you!

We just got word that FIL slipped and fell at their home and has severed his spinal cord. We are pretty sure that he will never walk again, even though he is going in for surgery now. MH is still away, and for anyone who remembers our family history, MIL is still not talking to us 18 mths later. She has already informed him that she does not want to see him at the hospital when he returns home. Even though MH and FIL's relationship has remained on good terms through all of this. It just makes me very sad.
  • @prpl11butterfly Ugh, I'm so sorry you're still dealing with those people. I'm glad you can pass them off on someone else. Maybe frame the proof of payment and overnight it so they can see it in the wall every time they think about bothering you 😠

@nitnat007 Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry for your FIL and your poor husband. I imagine he is devastated. I don't know the back story, but your MIL sounds like a terrible, spiteful person. Hugs  <3

PS - hopefully I haven't offended you re: your MIL.
  • @nitnat007 oh, I am so sorry for the accident and for the issue with your MIL. That is so wrong to not "allow" him to go there. Would she make a huge scene if he showed up anyway?

And in regards to the guys, they like to rile me up so while they are helpful, they are also getting sick enjoyment out of the whole thing.
  • @nitnat007 That is awful about your FIL!  And I can't believe your MIL would forbid YH from seeing him like that.  I would be spiteful and show up anyway, if it were me.  I'm so sorry!

@prpl11butterfly Not familiar with the backstory, but I'm glad you have backup!  Sorry you're triggered by the situation!

@prpl11butterfly Grr, I remember that story. I’m glad someone else can deal with them.

@shamrocandroll I feel that way about people in their 30’s now too! 🤣
  • @nitnat007 I am so sorry about your FIL. That's devastating.  How awful of your MIL to act like that.

    Happy Birthday, @kels0091! 🎂
  • @nitnat007 that is terrible about your FIL! I’m so sorry for that and that your MIL is acting like that.
  • @nitnat007 I’m so sorry about your FIL sending prayers that his surgery goes well

@prpl11butterfly I’m sorry that you have to deal with them again; I hope the guys can figure it out so you never have to deal with them again
  • @prpl11butterfly - I remember that story. It's awful that they are not only bugging you, but are a terrible reminder of that loss. I have a date coming up that is going to be a rough reminder of everything I've lost, and I'm dreading the day, but at least can be prepared for it. I hate getting blindsided by triggering things.
  • @nitnat007 I’m so sorry you and YH are dealing with that. I’m holding good thoughts for your FILs surgery.
  • @Kopp5988 Pausing time, yes! I’m already getting gray and it’s totally not cool haha.

@marebear15 Dang girl! I didn’t realize you were so young! I just automatically assume everyone is my age 😂. I’m holding onto the last year of my 20’s for dear life haha!

@prpl11butterfly No! I am so sorry you’re dealing with that! ❤️

@nitnat007 So sorry to hear about FIL - hope the surgery goes well! That is seriously so messed up about MIL.

Speaking of birthdays, we have 7
sisters, 4 brothers-in-law, and 12 nieces and nephews. There are a bunch of birthday clusters that just started on Jan. 31. One niece is 7 today, a nephew is 3 tomorrow, etc.... I’ll just be here, turning 36 in March. Lol
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

@nitnat007 that is a double-whammy re: your FIL's fall & MIL's grudge. I hope you & YH are dealing w/ the news in a way that gives you some peace.

  • @nitnat007 I'm so sorry that happened to your FIL. I hope your husband gets a chance to see him. Hopefully his dad will insist that he be there.
  • @nitnat007 oh gosh I’m so sorry to hear about your FiL. That’s a trugly awful accident. Use of his arms sounds like a positive first step, but whatever function he might have that’s a long road. Thinking of you, especially with YH not quite back yet and the family friction that was already there.
