@holly321 sorry about the early wake up. I imagine lots of ppl are calling out today who probably knew in advance that they wouldn’t be heading into work. That chart is beautiful and that timing 👌!!!

Testing: maaaaaybe a week from today if no af. I’ve got 1 hpt left, and it’s digital. I can deal with reading lines better than reading words that tell me bad news.

R/R:
rant: I am so over colds! I think I hit a string of three in a row. I had thought mh caught mine last week, but later learned that it was a different cold, which he then gave to me. I had a pounding headache Friday and Saturday. Saturday I was about to cry and raid our medicine cabinet when mh suggested a heating pad for my head. That really helped take the edge off! Still had a lingering headache yesterday, but today seems mainly about a plugged nose and sinus pressure, so hopefully this is it.
Rave: mh is a stud who replaced our burst pipe on Saturday and who shouldered pretty much all the responsibilities to let me rest this weekend. I feel a little guilty, but mostly just thankful!

R/R: had a very productive weekend and I'm exhausted. Woke up with a scratchy throat and hoping I'm not getting sick.

CS/Q: maybe a stupid question but if i have a 28 day cycle with a 13 day LP will my LP be shortened to 12 days or will my cycle extend to 29 days since I O'd late on CD16? I'm probably overthinking this LOL

@kimmer1412 I think your lp is supposed to be really consistent, and only your fp varies. I don’t know my lp since I just started temping, so I never knew exactly when I o’d, which is why I have a range for lp. So, I’d guess 29 day cycle.

@holly321 ugh interrupted sleep is the worse! I'm a little bit of a grump this morning too. Because Monday.

@begging4abump good on YH for letting you rest!

@kimmer1412 what begging4abump said. Your LP length is usually consistent so if you O late, even by a day, expect AF show up a day later than you think. I O up to a week late sometimes and without fail I've had a delayed AF by at least 5 days.

R/R: the weekends aren't long enough in my opinion. I'd much rather relax in bed than have to go to work today. On a positive note, temp is going to be almost 50 today!

CS/Q: it's looking not as pretty. May have had some night sweats the last 2 nights which then leave me feeling cold in the morning hence the small temp drop.

@holly321 I use to get so annoyed when DH was in a store and the underlings called out in the AM. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

@begging4abump the lines are so less painful. I have 10 cheapies and 1 digi. I'm going to let my cat tell me when to use the digi (she gets extra lovely when I'm KU and usually notified me a day or 2 before testing) because I don't want to waste it.

@kimmer1412 Your LP should remain the same giving you a slightly longer cycle this time.

R/R: Went in for what I hope to be my final attempt at genetic screening. It was a different tech and she was awesome about it and already knew this was attempt 3. She let me watch every step to prepping the shipment and let take a pic of the tracking #. It should get picked up Fri and watching it like a hawk. I still wish they'd have let me bring it to work to be picked up by our awesome FedEx guy.

CS/Q: undecided if I want to temp further from here or not.

Testing: I plan to start testing at 8DPO

R/R: my animals are killing me. My cat is literally eating me out of house and home. I feed him twice a day with a full bowl of food and he acts like he is starving even when the bowl is half empty. It's almost like he sees it getting low and he is worried there won't be more. 🤔 plus my dog seems to be having some medical issues. DH wants me to have the vet give him a chest xray because he is wheezing and snoring in his sleep. He also keeps hacking up some nasty stuff. So I guess I will be making a trip to the vet today. I just hope it's nothing serious.

CS/Q: my temps are looking good. I have had some cramping, which I'm taking as a good sign because I never have premenstrual cramps. I'm very optimistic!

@holly321 sorry you got woke up so early. That can put a damper on any day but its definitely not the way I would want to start my Monday. Hopefully your days gets better.

@begging4abump I'm glad your DH got your pipes fixed. It's nice having a man that is handy around the house. My DH is the same way. We rarely have to call anyone to come fix stuff.

@kimmer1412 your cycle is extended when ovulation is late. Some variation in LP can happen but it would still fall within your normal. For example, when i first started charting my cycles would vary from 28-33 days and they would rotate each month. My body would ovulate 1 day later each month until my cycle would stretch to 33 days and then it started over at 28 days. My LP length stayed consistent but my FP would lengthen.

@emeraldcity603 hope your dog is ok! My cat has always been a crazy eater! We got him at 9 weeks old and he always eats all of his food right away and has to be fed on time or freaks out like he’s starving. I wish he would be a grader like a normal cat.

R/R: had a nice relaxing weekend. The weather was so nice here we finally got to be outside. Also started our seeds finally. Dh ended up having to fix the toilet in the bathroom that just had the floor replacement. It would run for hours after flushing so he had to replace the whole inside of the tank. I’m now hoping we are done dealing with this bathroom and nothing else goes wrong. I just want to be able to use it consistently again lol.

Dh has to go to the police department this morning to deal with a parking ticket he got close to thanksgiving. He tried to hide it from me (it was only a few days after getting a $200 speeding ticket) and supposedly paid it right away. I found out about it anyway when court summons showed up on Friday. I guess he paid someone else’s ticket when he did it online so it showed his ticket still needed to be paid. Fingers crossed they can just fix it for him. I can’t help but laugh at it all lol.

CS/Q: feeling good about my chart. Does anyone not have any crazy symptoms when supplementing with progesterone? I can’t even say my boobs hurt that much, if at all.

@kbrown2385 I have felt no different on progesterone than I was not on progesterone. Perhaps I'm more tired during the day if anything. How in the world did he pay someone else's ticket?? Did he type in the wrong ticket number or something? Or system error?

Testing: it took FF 5 days to finally give me crosshairs. I thought I O'ed on CD18 but it looks like it is CD15 so we'll see when I test.

R/R: Ugh. This was another difficult weekend TTC wise. Brain dump in spoiler

Remember when I said H's family is just the worst when you have TTC problems? In the last 3 months, there's been 2 births, 1 pregnancy announcement and yesterday, his sister announced she was 5 weeks pregnant. Just what we needed to hear. He has 5 siblings and they are all pregnant at some point or another. I just can't. I.just.can't.

@holly321 ugh, I hear you. DH's work called today at 5am. I've slept a grand total of 4.5 hours. I am feeling more than feisty today. Great looking chart btw!

@inthewoods23 they have a weird online system to pay. They don’t verify it’s your ticket, you just put in the ticket number and pay it. It’s so weird, but thankfully he got it straightened out. I’m sure it isn’t the first time it’s happened!

@rikiteacup haha that’s exactly what I told him. This mess is just karma catching up to him 🤣. Sorry about yh’s family. It’s so hard to watch people close to you do it so easily.

@emeraldcity603 their system is so weird, I can’t imagine dh is the first to do it. I think he’s got it all figured out though, thankfully!

@kbrown2385: I've used a similar ticket pay system, and I did the same thing (paid the wrong one) - luckily it was cheap, and so I just chalked it up to "Hey, congrats on the ticket-fairy visit, random stranger!"

R/R: A shared rant/rave - had terrible insomnia last night (woke up at 2am, and COULDNOT fall back asleep), so finally got up at 5:00 and went for a nice walk and had SUCH a calm morning. I really should haul myself out of bed earlier every morning!

@begging4abump oh man, so sorry for your colds x 3! That is horrible! Hopefully you're on the upswing and get better ASAP. That's so nice of YH to let you rest while he took care of things! I totally agree on the HPTs - seeing one line is way less depressing than seeing "NOT PREGNANT" on the screen forever.

@kimmer1412 oh noooo. Hope you aren't getting sick. Drink lots of emergen-c! On the cycles I O a little later, my LP is typically about the same and cycle length is longer (basically what everyone else said ha)

@inthewoods23 totally agree that weekends are too short! We should all boycott work tomorrow

and 50's, that's awesome! Is your temp supposed to drop later this week too? I wouldn't worry about your temps, they're still way above coverline!

@kbrown2385 that's so weird that you don't even have to enter your last name or something as verification. Was the ticket cost the same as he was supposed to pay? 🤨

I discovered I could pay DH's bill for the sperm wash (under his own account) without needing to log into his account. He of course doesn't remember his password. There's a place I can go by entering his account number and last name. So nice that I can do that without bugging him to figure it out!

@lcking82 I love waking up early to experience the calm in the mornings. Too bad I'm always so dang tired and it's still dark outside by the time I would want to wake up early. I like summers a lot better for that.

@begging4abump Sorry that you are not feeling well, I have been not well myself. I had pink eye over the weekend and have been fighting some other stuff myself, not sure what is going on.

@kimmer1412 good timing on your chart this month! I've debated how we could try to get a morning session in, and I just don't think it's possible. I get up @ 4:45 AM to work out M-F, and by the time I'm done with that- I have just enough time to get myself together and get out the door for work. I don't think it's possible for us!

@inthewoods23 yes- you are right about kimmer1412"s questions! I've had this happen to me before....if I get the O date wrong, it usually just means my cycle won't start for one extra day. And weekends are NEVER long enough.

@emeraldcity603 sorry about your furbabies not feeling well!! hopefully they will be ok!! Our dog randomly threw up the other day- but he's been ok since then?? Who knows.....would be so helpful if they could talk!!

R/R: I'm not really sure what is worse, the WTO or the TWW.....I think the TWW would be what most people would say. My mom is coming for a visit on Wednesday, and we have a busy weekend coming up. I hope that will make all of the time pass quickly until next week which would be when temps would drop or stay high and I would test. I came down with pink eye over the weekend- so that has been super fun. And I've had a pounding headache and some other just "funk" going on.....ugh.....ready to feel better!

CS/Q: think I'm good here.....just trying to be patient and wait this cycle out to see what happens next.

I keep in touch with one of my HS exes and knew that him and his wife were going through IF. He texted me yesterday to tell me that after doing IVF, his wife is finally pregnant. I think it was the first IRL person that I have genuinely been happy for when they told me, so that made me happy. But I'm also still mad at myself because I apparently have certain criteria for when I'm happy and not bitter for people haha. I'm only human I guess

Stuck lurking all weekend because mobile bump is the worst.

@holly321 - Early on a Monday is the worst! Hope you can get to bed early tonight!

@begging4abump - I think I've been sick since November. It is ridiculous! Hope you get well soon and it stays that way!

@inthewoods23 - Jealous on the 50 degrees! We had them yesterday, then a cold front came through overnight and we're back to single digits. Ready for spring!

@rikiteacup - No other words than that just plain sucks. My SIL is also pregnant and its a tough spot to be and also zero fun.

@emeraldcity603 I hope that everything comes out ok at the vet. I feel you on the cat begging for food. My dog constantly cries for food all the time. I put her on a diet that the vet recommended so she is even more sad now that she isn't getting fed as much.

R/R: I got cleared to work out on Friday by the chiropractor so I feel much better that I'm able to do stuff. I still have to be careful so modifying some of my normal lifts. I never watched any of the Harry Potter movies so DH started a mini marathon this weekend and I still have a little less than half of the movies to watch! Also super annoyed with DH. The beginning of the month he was all super excited and all into the timing TTC this month which I thought was cool and then we had a conversation the other day about us trying to get a house this year and he made the comment that he kind of hopes we aren't KU by then because of money. Like yeah it will be tight but I just wanted to throw something at him. Lol.

@inthewoods23 I don’t want to freak you out, but I think I’m getting too invested in your tww; I’ve found myself getting really excited with how high your temps are, and then trying to calm myself down since it’s just too early. Ughh, Friday is so close and far away all at once!! Sending you good vibes!

@prpl11butterfly it’s so crazy that you had to do that three times! I wish there were some kind of compensation for all that frustration, time, and, you know, blood! Lol about your cat. I totally track how mine is with me as a “clue” about my ku status, but it’s absolutely not connected in my case.

@emeraldcity603 handymen husbands are so wonderful! It doesn’t hurt that I love seeing him in ripped jeans playing the role either! I hope the vet trip is quick and easy today!!

@kbrown2385 I take it as a relief that mh is also terrible at being sneaky; it’s endearing in a way. Glad the ticket got straightened out. I drive mh crazy when I point out cop cars on the road. He’s never been pulled over for speeding, but I may have gotten one or two tickets for it...On a completely separate note, the toilet had to be fixed too after they finally got someone to fix the floor??? Ughh. I’m glad YH could take care of it!

@b_1029 sorry for the downer weekend. It’s so hard to not be in your own space, on top of other stress. Also, you being genuinely happy in hearing that news is awesome!! I feel that SOMETIMES for my SIL, but definitely not all the time. I feel proud any time I’m not feeling whiny about it, so by my standards, you should feel phenomenal about yourself.

@brookert615 I wouldn’t have handled YH’s comment gracefully. Maybe he’s just trying to hope against in a way to jinx it into happening?? If not, throw something, lol.

@mhamik ugh these colds!! Get better soon! Are you personally renovating? Is this your first renovation? We’ve slowly fixed up 5 rooms over the last 4 years...one of those rooms twice.

@begging4abump I kind of feel bad for making fun of him, because you’re right, it is endearing and he really did try so I wouldn’t be annoyed. The bathroom has just been a shit show. We still have to have the property manager come out and take a look at the kitchen since the contractor found the floor to be soft by the dishwasher as well. It’s really never ending.

@MNturnsVA sorry about the pink eye! For me, wto is worse than tww. The build up to o’ing is too much and then add in temping and and opks and timing etc. So frustrating!

@b_1029 I’m so sorry you’re having a tough time. Ttc is difficult enough, add in worrying financially and it gets to be too much. I’ve found that I have better reactions to people who I know have had trouble ttc than to people who accidentally get ku. I’m sure that makes me a terrible person, but it is what it is. To be completely off topic...what does the bench look like? I’ve been trying to find something like that.

@brookert615 he did get the ticket figured out thankfully! We planted tomatoes, bell peppers, arugula, chives, parsley and lemon balm. This is our first year starting from seeds so I’m keeping fingers crossed they make it. Glad your back is feeling better!

@brookert615 lol I probably would've thrown something. But then on the other hand, I admitted to MF last week that a tiny, microscopic part of me was relieved that last cycle failed because I'm just a walking ball of stress right now and that wouldn't be good for a baby. That might be the most irrational thing I've ever said on CD1.

@mhamik Ours was built in the 70s, but the last homeowners were both a little nuts (painted freehand monkeys and freehand polka dots on walls) and also a little sloppy with it (painted the wallpaper, which was plastered on top of paneling, but which didn’t cover the top inch of paneling.) It’ll be a lifetime of work for mh and me, but it’s usually something we do together at least. It’s so exciting when there’s progress!!

@lcking82 I'm glad you have such a calming morning. I try to get up early every morning so I can have some time to myself before the day gets started and I'm too busy. It really makes a huge difference.

@b_1029 my cat has always been food crazy. He is pretty wild in every possible way. He didn't start out that way though. It came about when he turned 3 months old. Once he was running around like a wild man upstairs. For some reason he either didn't see the rails or though they would stop him but he ended up falling from our second floor down to the tile floor at the front door of our house. He actually landed on his feet and he wasn't injured at all. Although, he went immediately and laid down for the night and stayed there almost all night. Scared the crap out of me.

@MNturnsVA I think TTC is stressful in general. I stress for completely different reasons in both. I hope you feel better. Pink eye as an adult sucks.

@mhamik I would love to see your bathroom when you're done. I bought paint for mine weeks ago and still haven't painted. 🤦‍♀️

@littleredm I just threw out a ton of old bridesmaids dresses. It felt so good. For some reason no one ever pics a dress I could actually wear more than once. They cost so much that it's hard to toss them right away.

@brookert615 my dog will ask to go out multiple times in a row just so he can get more than one treat. It felt like he had me trained.

@MNturnsVA I think it depends. If you are not regular, the WTO is worse because it can drag on for weeks! You're usually out of your misery after 15-16 days with the TWW.

@mhamik this is the 4th SIL to get pregnant in less than a year. 4th! All they talk about are kids and well...I can't relate. Please show us bathroom pics when it's done!

an old coworker of mine just delivered twins. Her and her husband shared long posts about their struggles when the babies were born. It took them over 5 years and a few miscarriages and IVF attempts to get there. It made me cry.
