How far along are you?
Anyone have an appointment this week?
Cravings/Symptoms?
Rants/Raves/Randoms?
Questions?
GTKY: What are some activities you do to relax that's not watching tv/Netflix?
What's going on this week? Is this question pregnancy-related or no? Not a whole lot going on this week, but I'm looking forward to the superbowl this weekend! I am seeing my family for the first time since getting my bfp, so I am anxious/excited about hiding my news 😊
How far along are you? 4w2d (based on O) or 4w4d (LMP)
Anyone have an appointment this week? LOL, no. No appointments until 8 weeks 😭
Cravings/Symptoms? Not much yet. Maybe fatigue.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I gave them above, LOL. So maybe question 1 is meant to be pregnancy related....
Questions? Anybody else still testing? I can't stop won't stop peeing on all the things.
GTKY: What are some activities you do to relax that's not watching tv/Netflix? Reading. I love getting lost in a good book!
Hey, @galentine thank you for starting this thread! I miss all my TTGP girls, too. Hopefully, they can join us over here soon!
How exciting about seeing your family! How long are you going to wait to tell them?
How far along are you? 5w2d
Anyone have an appointment this week? Yes, I have an appointment with my PCP today to "confirm pregnancy" and get a referral to my new OB/GYN. (I'm secretly scared that they'll tell me I'm not pregnant and I hallucinated the whole thing. It still doesn't feel real!)
Cravings/Symptoms? Sore nipples, but not sore breasts, which is odd. Also, fatigue and cramping (though that's becoming less). Also, I might be kind of a bitch now? I like to think that I'm a nice person, but I basically shoved my husband out the door this morning because people irritate me. But that could also just be because I haven't had caffeine for a week and a half.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I am remarkably ill-prepared for the birth of this child. At the moment, he/she will be sleeping in a dresser drawer because I have no idea what the hell I'm doing. I'm looking forward to telling my mom so that she can give me advice, but I'm also dreading everyone knowing and then shoving unsolicited advice at me.
Questions?
But nothing specific right now. More just a general worry.
GTKY: What are some activities you do to relax that's not watching tv/Netflix?
I am an avid reader. Once I started TTC (back in July), I told myself that when I got pregnant I would read Tolstoy's War and Peace. I have about 35 weeks to reach that goal! @galentine What are your top three favorite books?

@elle-0409, I'm not planning to tell anyone until after my first appointment. I'm thinking I will be 9 weeks and change when I tell my family. My mom is pretty much my best friend, so it's killing me not to tell her. What about you??
Hmm my favorite books might be a little off the wall. In no particular order 1. The Husband's Secret 2. The Watsons Go to Birmingham 1963 (a children's chapter book) 3. The Harry Potter series You?
I will not be hurt at all by this answer, but just checking do I count? Not sure if there's parameters here like the grad thread (which make sense haha).
@marbellie, of course you count! I'm not the "authority" by any means, but my personal opinion is this check-in need not be as strict as the grad thread guidelines on the TTGP board. Those rules are in place to protect the feelings of those who have been trying a long time, potentially experiencing IF or loss, etc. from having to see someone graduate who just start TTC. Again, not the authority here by any means, but my personal opinion is those rules/reasons don't really apply here on the BMB.
My thought is if you posted on TTGP enough that the other TTGPers recognize you, then you are welcome to post in this check-in. (Other TTGPers feel free to weigh in!).
What's going on this week? Nothing much since it's only a little over 4 weeks. I sometimes get a weird feeling after eating but I eat some weird things sometimes so...
How far along are you? 4 weeks and a few days (need to get dated)
Anyone have an appointment this week? NO I wish though, even scheduling the appointment is hard because my hospital has a call center that you leave a message for and they call you back to schedule in 2-3 days.
Cravings/Symptoms? Nothing yet
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Work is insane still. I've been working 12+ hour days for the last 2 weeks and next week will not be any better unfortunately. Plus I have a trip into NY for a friend's housewarming this weekend so life is chaotic.
Questions? Do you really get to hear the heartbeat at an 8 week appointment? That sounds so soon, but Dr. Google says it's likely.
GTKY: What are some activities you do to relax that's not watching tv/Netflix? Reading fantasy novels and trashy romances.
@galentine I pee on everything too just to make sure it's still real. I'm used to stark whiteness on sticks since I didn't use OPKs @elle-0409 I didn't get to say this but I'm so happy that my wish for your sober Vegas trip came true! Haha @ pushing your husband and the drawer bed, don't worry everything will come together
@galentine nothing specific in terms of books. But I do like to find relevant research articles on the internet. I'm a STM and have fewer questions than I did the first time around. I'm happy to share or answer any questions FTM may have.
@marbellie Aw, I totally had a sober Vegas trip and it was perfect!
@galentine I read Jenny McCarthy's "Belly Laughs" (not very good. Thank God for library cards), am reading "The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy" and will start "What to Expect When You're Expecting" in the next day or so. I've also heard that "Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy" is good.

@cdnrunning I take wasted conference call time to hop on the Bump too. What do you like to do when you're in NY? I always try to get a musical show in, I even go alone if needed haha.
@elle-0409 I want to check out What to Expect, let us know what you think.
@galentine heaven forbid I pick up a book that is actually educational in anything beyond Victorian age love making so I'm no help with recommendations I'm going to better myself soon though
UPDATE: I just got back from my PCP appointment and I'm "officially" pregnant. I know that they just did a urine test, but it feels nice to have it confirmed! Next week will be a "missed menses" appointment with the OB/GYN.

What to Expect When You’re Expecting was...different that I expected. It is an okay read, not too hard to get through and very informative. It has a bunch of FAQs with answers for each week and also has what’s going on with you (body/baby wise).
I read the entire pregnancy part (and labor) but then didn’t read the newborn part. I didn’t want too much conflicting info and we were planning on doing a baby basics class at our hospital (highly recc. doing that - it’s awkward with other couples there, but I liked the info we got!)
also, congrats @elle-0409 on being “officially” KU!!
Does anyone else do this? I still lurk TTGP, and I pay extra close attention to the TWW window thread, hoping I'll soon see those same names in the October intro thread. I would love to fill this board up with TTGP grads!
@galentine@cdnrunning@elle-0409@b_1029 Also, do you guys do this thing? When someone would post on the Grad thread (or showed up on a BMB), go back to all their TWW posts to see the "signs"?
What's going on this week? Other than finding out today that I'm KU, not a whole lot.
How far along are you? 3+5 (EDD 10/14 based on estimated O)
Anyone have an appointment this week? No! It's Saturday and I actually need to find an OBGYN. I've checked who is covered under my insurance so I will be calling Monday.
Cravings/Symptoms? My boobs were slightly tender this week but nothing really. Today I have a feeling of bile in the back of my throat. But that could be related to the cold I'm trying to get over.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? YAY I'M HERE!! I woke up this morning at 5:30am and took my temp and it had dropped lower than those stupid high temps from adding a new battery to my thermometer, but still high. If you saw my TTGP threads, I was trying to hold out as long as possible (don't know why though). But I was like, what the heck and got up and peed on a cheapie. I thought I saw the smidge of a line, so I went back to bed to let it sit. Went to look 3-4 minutes later and there was my perfect second line. I prompty hid the test and did not tell DH. I had thought I wanted to do something cute for him but I'm such a lousy secret-keeper so I went downstairs earlier and said I wanted to go get a fancy pregnancy test because I was pretty sure I am PG. He said, are you sure you didn't test this morning? Told him I took an OPK instead... so we are going to Walmart to get the digital and I will take my little white lie to the grave!
Questions? nope
GTKY: What are some activities you do to relax that's not watching tv/Netflix? I *used* to read more often but haven't really picked up a book in a while.

@stephanie123456 omg congrats!! I was literally looking at your Friday TWW post this morning and wanted to comment that it (your temp chart) looks fantastic but got distracted!
Well ladies, just as quick as I was in, I'm out. Bad cramping and bleeding started this morning. I had to tell MH just 12 hours after telling him we were pregnant. Feeling a lot of mixed emotions right now.
Wishing you all a super boring and healthy 9 months. ❤️

Rants/Raves/Randoms? Rant - I'm on a conference call right now - 15 minutes in and they just finally got things set up. Ugh, don't waste my team!
Questions? No
GTKY: What are some activities you do to relax that's not watching tv/Netflix?
