We were totally prepared for bad news, we weren't prepared for more uncertainty. We're measuring a week behind a 6w1d instead of 7w1d. Doc didnt find a clear heartbeat...maybe a flicker but he wasn't sure....but that's consistent with 6w1d. We have to go back Tuesday for another ultrasound to see if there is growth. He said he's seen successful pregnancies that started out like this, that there is still hope but we should also be cautious. Hopefully next week brings more clarity.
It is comforting to know it's at least been growing up to the 6w1d mark and maybe just got a very late start, doc gave us some reasons for that but i didnt pay a ton of attention because I was just waiting for him to get to the point.
The good news is that it is NOT ectopic, which was a concern with the low hch numbers. So I'm trying to be content with that silver lining for now.
Wrapping my arms around you for a very hopeful and peaceful weekend. I’m so thankful baby is growing❤️

@ChristenMA83 Sending lots of happy thoughts and good vibes for next week's appointment! I wouldn't think your doctor would try to give you any false hope if he didn't think there wasn't any. Hang in there! Hopefully if just took your LO a little longer to get comfortable

Tuesdays appointment didnt go well. There was no growth and no heartbeat. Another loss. We have a d&c scheduled for Monday morning. We'll have the tissue tested this time around to see if there was a chromosomal abnormality or if I need to go through more testing to try and explain the multiple losses. We're coping pretty well considering.
@ChristenMA83 I kept coming back to see if you had updated. I am so sorry to hear your news. My prayers are with your family during this time of loss.

@ChristenMA83 I’m soo sorry to see this update, thinking of you and your husband. I hope the testing brings you the answers you need and you are comfortable trying again. There are also a ton of blood panels they can run on you as well, that might be worth looking into. Wishing you some peace during this unimaginable sadness ❤️
@ChristenMA83 I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I just went in today for my post-op appt from the d&c... The doc said my tissue sample came back normal. He said the genetics of the embryo was fine so it's got to be my uterus. He's having me do a mock transfer ERA next time and instead of actually putting an embryo in, they'll take a tissue sample of my uterus to send off for testing. They test 283 cells and it basically tells them if my uterus is receptive at the time of transfer. It will tell them if I have too much progesterone or too little. Once we know these things, we can move forward with the real transfer and hopefully get everything just right. He also is recommending doing Intralipid IV infusion, just to throw the whole kitchen sink at my uterus since this is our last embryo. So... I say all that to say, there are still options out there. Let me know what your doctor recommends once you get your testing back. ((Hugs)) Don't give up! We're still young!
@ChristenMA83 Sending lots of creepy internet hugs to you!!!
@kimberlyshae So glad you're doing the ERA! I did that as well right before transferring our last embryo. It's good to know 100% your timing it right. I swear the biopsy / scratch helped and I also started taking baby aspirin before transfer to help the blood flow. It's great that your RE is being so proactive!

@kristimh80 Yea, I'm glad that he is recommending the ERA too. Did you happen to do the intralipid iv infusion also? He's recommending that as an extra piece of mind protocol and what he calls "throwing everything at the kitchen sink" approach. Here's a link to explain it if you are unfamiliar with it (as I was) https://haveababy.com/ivf-blogs-from-sirm-patients/intralipid-infusions
@kimberlyshae I've heard lots of good things about the intralipid infusion. There's an RE who is particularly famous for dealing with RPL and potential immune issues -- Dr. Kim Kwak. Maybe you could do a phone or video conference consult with them? Couldn't hurt, especially if you're taking a bit of a break since there's probably a wait list for consults.
