Re: Wednesday Ticker Change Jan. 23rd
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 36 weeks, papaya
2) How are you feeling? Absolutely and utterly miserable. My entire body hurts from about 2 hours after I get out of bed to well into the night. Sleeping is a joke and reflux is kicking my butt.
3) Any appointments this week? Not til next week.
4) R/R/Q? Found out I'm GBS-negative this pregnancy. Yay! I was positive with DD.
5) Who, besides the people in the delivery room, are you going to announce LO's birth to first? Why and how are you planning to tell them? I'll call my mom first and she'll be with DS and DD so we can tell them at the same time.

1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby? - 36 weeks, roughly the size of a small solar system.
2) How are you feeling? - Slow. Not in any pain, but everything is getting gradually more uncomfortable by the day.
3) Any appointments this week? Had one today! They let me do my GBS swab myself which I'm very grateful for. Also had a quick US to check baby's position, he's head down and ready to go! Although preferably he'll stay in there for another four weeks. I'm anxious to finally meet him, but I still have shit to do!
4) R/R/Q? - Work is driving me absolutely crazy. My temp is starting next week and I haven't even started writing her instructions, because I'm also training the new accountant who started last week. She's nice and I think she'll work out eventually, but at the moment she's extremely codependent and asks me for advice on eeeeverything. It's like she can't think for herself. I get that she's just trying to do the correct thing, but our workplace is very casual and whatever you prefer is correct. Asking someone if you should bold this line or print double sided every five minutes is definitely not correct.
5) Who, besides the people in the delivery room, are you going to announce LO's birth to first? Why and how are you planning to tell them? - Our friends who live near the hospital have offered to come by with food, so they'll be the first to know.
DD born 4/1/2023
Baby #3 EDD 11/21/2024
I am still here!
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby?
35 weeks, pineapple? Although feels like a 10 pound bowling ball
2) How are you feeling?
Starting to get insomnia at night. Will wake up for no reason, and stay awake for n hour or so.
3) Any appointments this week?
Just had one yesterday, LO is head down and ready to rock n roll. GBS swab in 2 weeks. Signed paperwork for a water birth!
4) R/R/Q?
My fiance just told me hes been having dreams about me dying in childbirth. Hes my rock and is always "everything will work out" kind of guy. So that freaks me out.
Also, anyone have a water birth and know if the hospital charges different for that?
5) Who, besides the people in the delivery room, are you going to announce LO's birth to first? Why and how are you planning to tell them?
I will probably be texting my best friend, and obviously the girls at work will know I'm in labor. But probably my mom since she will be bring DD up to meet the baby.
37 weeks, romaine lettuce
2) How are you feeling?
big, uncomfortable
3) Any appointments this week?
saw doctor yesterday, baby is measuring the exact same as my first at 37 weeks and the first was 9 lbs at birth. Doc said i had high blood pressure. He is going to check me again this coming Tuesday, if it’s high again he will discuss an inducement date. If it’s normal, he’ll let me go into labor naturally. So I’m still eating my dates and will probably start eating pineapple this week to start even more softening the cervix, because mine is all closed up.
4) R/R/Q? Really don’t want to be induced!
5) Who, besides the people in the delivery room, are you going to announce LO's birth to first? Why and how are you planning to tell them? DH will be there. He can call people. Other than that people can wait til we’re home.
1. I’m 36 weeks, baby is “as big as a papaya” but at his 34 week ultrasound he weighed about 4.12 pounds which means this week he should be about 5.12 pounds so he’s a little behind in gaining the weight, I’m thinking he may be born a week after my due date.
2. I have been feeling so tired and lazy! I’ve been sleeping so much and calling in sick so much to work that I decided next week will be my last week when before I was planning on working up until I felt contractions. My job requires standing on my feet all day, literally no where to sit until my breaks, so it’s been rough just getting through a full day there. I feel awful that I’m leaving work so early because we really need the money but I just have no motivation to stay working past 37.5 weeks. Last night I went to a prenatal water aerobics class and it was harder than I thought lol, but still felt great to get some exercise. Then I hung out with my legs in the hot tub for a while and it was so nice. Other than sleepiness I don’t have much else besides heartburn for now.
3. The last appointment we had was on Tuesday and it was just a regular 36 week group prenatal midwife appointment, two hours long and my boyfriend was very antsy the whole entire time. I think the videos she showed during the class mentally scarred both of us a little bit. They were gruesome birth videos. I definitely think a water birth is the right way to go now.
4. Idk what R/R/Q means so I’ll just say something random.
We haven’t decided on a name yet and I’m getting kind of nervous and even more undecided about the names. I am hoping that something will pop into my head as soon as I hold him.
5. In the delivery/ birth room I only want the midwife/ midwives and my boyfriend. So naturally the first people we tell will be our moms who will likely be on their way to us as he’s being born. Then the rest of the family and my closest friends will get pictures or phone calls next. I’m sure my boyfriend has his list too.
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby?
36 a papaya! No growth measuring this week but last time she was in the 42%
2) How are you feeling?
Tired and nesting like crazy! Baby shower is on Sunday and some other friends threw a surprise one last week so I have piece of mind when I got some essentials for the baby.
3) Any appointments this week?
Had the GBS swab. Super fast and easy! I had worked myself up thinking they were going to check my cervix but they didn't.
4) R/R/Q?
All our relatives are not buying off the registry. It's super bratty of me to complain about it because I appreciate the gifts. Also, SO MUCH PINK!! I am not a pink girl.
5) Who, besides the people in the delivery room, are you going to announce LO's birth to first? Why and how are you planning to tell them?
My hubby is the only one I want with me. His and my parents and siblings are out if town so we told them to visit later after we have sime time with baby girl. Probably will text them when she's born w/pictures
@bellebaby221 Baby doll?! Omg I feel ya! I guess we're not an old fashioned couple because I did boy and girl clothes on the registry for baby girl. Maybe keep 1 piece to take a picture of her in and quietly get rid of the rest? That's what I plan to do
@glitterbug6 They were really nice with the returns at Carters!
1) How many weeks are you? How big is baby?
38 weeks (well 39 tomorrow), winter melon/small moon
2) How are you feeling?
Huge and so so so tired every day.
3) Any appointments this week?
Tomorrow, probs just a standard check on baby and I.
4) R/R/Q?
Help I'm so done waiting around for this baby to get here.
5) Who, besides the people in the delivery room, are you going to announce LO's birth to first? Why and how are you planning to tell them?
Will probably text my two besties when I'm in labour. First to know when baby is out will be my mom and depending on the time of day, we'll probably video chat his mom/family. Then other good friends from there. I'm hoping to keep it off FB for as long as possible... we'll see how lucky I get lol
