Cannot remember what the flavors were for the 3 tier cake. I know one of them was lemon. I never ate any 😭 the hamburger cake was red velvet and again, didn’t eat any, but heard it was delicious. The sheet cake was also red velvet. Not pictures: the tons of ojarascas (Mexican wedding cookies) and hot chocolate!
We had 4 different flavors and my aunt made them. We pretty much did the entire wedding ourselves and had it in my parents backyard. We planned the whole thing in like 2 months and it was super chill. The cake in back with the least smooth frosting was red velvet with cream cheese frosting and was what DH and I really wanted. We also had chocolate cake with buttercream filling, white cake with buttercream filling and white cake with lemon filling. Cause everyone had a hissy fit at our cake choices and wanted something they would eat. 🙄

Bottom layer was lemon cake with raspberry preserves and the top layer was chocolate cake and banana cake with peanut butter and Bavarian cream. We had kitchen cakes as well with marble cake and chocolate cake, both with buttercream. We had mini donuts as well as as parting gifts with little X’s and O’s on them.
@lilpotatomama I’m obsessed with that burger cake. @HGRich I love the cookies and milk.
I LOVE seeing all these pics! They really suit what I know of everyone's personalities so far, and show off more of them too.
Our cake was an EXACT copy of this one:
An incredible former roommate of mine baked it for me as a wedding gift! She was a great cook and had alllllll these cake books that we used to look at together when we were bored. We had a whole week's debate about this cake back before I was engaged, because she thought it was HIDEOUS and I loved it! I had forgotten about the whole thing 2 years later when she volunteered to make something for us. It was supposed to be a secret, but at the very last minute she chickened out and texted me, "I made the mushroom cake. Is that okay?" I think she spent multiple whole days on the meringue shrooms alone! Sweetest surprise ever.
@MRDCle they did such a great job with the burger! DH is obsessed with burgers and I got it for him as a surprise, he loved it. I wasn’t expecting the little side of fries either!
Alittle blurry but it was the only picture I could find. I don’t remember the flavors. I remember taking one bite and coming back later only to find that someone had thrown out my piece.
We had our personal cake, chocolate with raspberry buttercream and chocolate ganache, that I made and my maid of honor decorated day of, plus three different cupcakes: vanilla with lemon curd and raspberry buttercream, chocolate with cherry filling and vanilla buttercream, and carrot cake with cream cheese (DH's favorite). I'm a pastry chef and my maid of honor is as well, so we did them all ourselves. We got married at a family friends open air barn.
ugh! i hate mobile bumping! i get that stupid “permission problem” page every time i try to love a post 😤
so my photo is a photo of a photo 🤷🏻♀️ (i HATE all of our wedding photos- we had to book a last minute photographer) our cake was made by my best friend’s mom who also officiated our wedding. we had a layer or two of chocolate w/ raspberry, and the remaining layer(s) of lemon & raspberry. did anyone save their top tier for their 1-yr anniversary? we did, but it was a feat preserving that layer for our 18hr drive back home 😳
We did cupcakes for everyone: chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream icing, vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream, and lemon cake with vanilla buttercream. DH’s family in particular only really likes chocolate and vanilla so we went with what people would eat. Then our cake that we cut was lemon cake with vanilla buttercream and it was amazing and definitely the only thing I actually really ate that day. We also were able to send cupcakes home with guests if they wanted (I think my mom ended up with like a dozen).
I wish I could show y'all the picture of us cutting the cake because the look on our faces really capture our personalities! Cake by my MIL Photo by https://www.chelseadianephotography.com/

Got married on a dry campus, we provided milk and cookies for toasting. 😂
And a simple shot of my cake. It didn’t end up looking like I wanted, but it tasted really good! Really good ganache.

ETA: You can sort of see the groom's "cake" in the background: Baklava.

Ours was real simple. Strawberry and passionfruit I think?
