Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: Sept 14th/ 6w2d

Baby is the size of a(n): sweet pea

Upcoming Appointments: January 24th... this Thursday finally!

How are you feeling?: Super nauseous on and off throughout the day unless I am eating

Rants/Raves: I am already over the nausea. It's so much harder to deal with when you have other kids to take care of.

    Questions: Nope.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? SUMMER! I love warm weather and lots of sunlight. I also love cooking on the grill (well, having DH do it lol) and swimming.

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: EDD 9/15 - 6 weeks 1 day

Baby is the size of a(n): Maine Blueberry or a popping firecracker!

Upcoming Appointments: 1/30 - next Wednesday cannot come soon enough!!

How are you feeling?: Its moment by moment. I am definitely having weird food aversions and constant dull nausea. I've also developed what seems like carpal tunnel in my left arm that has made sleep IMPOSSIBLE for the last 3 nights. It is truly awful. Someone suggested wrist and elbow braces so I am going to check those out.

Rants/Raves: Rave - Told my parents the good news yesterday! They decided to come over for the afternoon unexpectedly (they live about 45 minutes away) and we figured this was the only time we'd see them without other family members around, so we shared the news and they are super excited for us (TW - we are PGAL so they were so happy we got pregnant again so quickly) END TW.

Questions: Anyone else experience this awful pins & needles/ numbness/ carpal tunnel? It is worse than the restless leg syndrome which is pretty hard to be!!

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? I am a summer girl through & through. We live near the beach, and I just love summer clothes, margaritas (guess I don't get to have any of those this summer!), outside dinners, and concerts!

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 9-9-19; 7w0d

Baby is the size of a(n): blueberry

    Upcoming Appointments: next ultrasound 1/30

How are you feeling?: tired, nauseous, and my boobs are killing me. But I'll take it as long as it means baby is healthy.

Rants/Raves: traveling to Puerto Rico for 1 week for work. Just worried about Zika but have tons of mosquito repellents. Doc wasn't too worried because it's winter so shouldn't be bad. Also told my sis yesterday and we cried together. Waiting to tell my parents on my mom's bday first week in Feb.

    Questions: none

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? I love fall/ SoCal winter. Not too warm or too cold. Perfect sweater weather. An excuse to cuddle up in PJs.

Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 6 weeks or so

Baby is the size of a(n): sweet pea

Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday! I’m nervous because *tw* I’ve had a prior loss at this point *tw*. Fingers crossed for a heartbeat 💗

How are you feeling?: so nauseated 🤢. And sometimes I feel like I am not strong enough to power through this time. I just wish I could vomit and feel better. Or that I can time machine to feeling better

Rants/Raves: rave goes to my husband who has been taking care of the boys while I’ve basically been bed ridden.

Rant: so I’m particular about food these days-  I ordered my favorite salad and the restaurant screwed it up. My cravings are so particular and ... I cried (tears) when I saw that they sent the wrong salad. I’m embarrassed about my extreme reaction but also feel all types of anger ... I sound nuts

Questions: pls god, when will the nausea lift?!

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Fall hands down. I love the smell of fall, the crunching of leaves, the colors, sweaters! It’s also birthday and anniversary season, so it kicks off the “holiday sprint” in our family (1 September birthday, 2 October birthdays and anniversary, Halloween, November birthday and then holidays!) :)

Baby is the size of a(n): chocolate chip! (Love it)

    Upcoming Appointments: Feb 6th

How are you feeling?: better today. All weekend the never ending nausea was almost unbearable. @rms924 I am with you I kept just praying to throw up so it would be over but never happened.

Rants/Raves: I don’t want to wait over 2 weeks for the appointment it still seems so far away! Also a girl at my very small 3 person office came in today and went home because she hasn’t strep. I lysoled everything, but I really don’t want to get strep right now

    Questions: none

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Summer for sure! I love the pool and July 4th and my birthday is in summer. I also hate cold so that’s part of it too.

Baby is the size of a(n): same

    Upcoming Appointments: Feb 7

How are you feeling?: Very low appetite as most food sounds disgusting to me right now. Not really nauseous but can't eat. Got super tired on a casual run this weekend. Definitely loving sleep right now.

Rants: I am so cold. So. Cold. Walking around my house in sweats and a blanket at all times.

Raves: excited to finally tell our parents in a couple weeks- planned a quick weekend back for their birthday (my whole family has a birthday the first week of February and MH's mom also has a birthday that week). Bought some of those fake scratch off lottery tickets on Etsy to surprise them with

    Questions: nah

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Summer all the way. I grew up on the coast of SC and heat feels like home. Who doesn't love swimming and fishing and gardening and just generally being outside.

Excited to hear about everyone's upcoming appointments!

Baby is the size of a(n): Blueberry

Upcoming Appointments: Nurse intake visit in 2 weeks

How are you feeling?: Nauseous all day, so exhausted, no motivation to do anything, boobs hurt

Rants/Raves: I just wanna get past this point, it’s much harder with a 2.5 year old around. My house always looks like a tornado went through and I have no energy to clean anything..

    Questions: none

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Fall! It’s so beautiful here, all the colors and smells, the cool crisp air, fresh apples, pumpkin everything, I’m so basic!

@mainemomma8316 I would like fall so much better if it didn't lead to winter lol
  • Options
@mainemomma8316 maybe it’s also fall in New England - I am assuming you live in Maine? I live in Connecticut and you can’t beat a New England fall!

@mommyshark13 it’s literally 25 today. My car windows were frozen shut this morning!

the one good thing is that this cold weather seems to help some w nausea. Also, ginger tea! I’m drinking cup after cup but it’s makinga difference

Baby is the size of a(n): Blueberry

Upcoming Appointments: Had our dating scan yesterday! Meeting with the doc next Monday for the general 8 week chat (or so I'm told)

How are you feeling?: Still mostly fine. A tad nauseous when I wake up that goes away pretty quickly, though I did throw up on Saturday morning. The heartburn "hiccups" have also been pretty constant.

Rants/Raves: We told my parents this past weekend. When I mentioned the EDD, my mom told me that it was my grandmother's birthday (she passed away when I was about 2 months old)... we definitely got all of the feels.

Questions: When do you all plan to tell work/your boss?

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Summer hands down. I'm a huge beach and sun fan.

@rms924 It was cold here too. My kids had a 2 hr delay because it was so frigid this morning. Then DD's prek lost power so she ended up having a super short day.

I just ordered some ginger tea made by Pink Stork... I hope it works!

@rms924 yes I live in Maine and it is the best in New England but as @mommyshark13 said I do hate that it leads to Winter, I only like the snow for the holidays, then it can go bye bye!

@MsBeachNJ I was having some tinglies in my feet earlier, sitting at my office desk. Got up & shook it all around like the hokey pokey & that was that, though.

@maserrano714 Me too on the boobs. They hurt w/ the 'comfy' bra on, they hurt w/ the bra off, they hurt standing up, they hurt sitting down, etc. x infinity /// alllsssooo i'm going to Jamaica in Feb. & was also having a lot of anxiety about zika, but read enough that made me chillax. gonna ask the doc about it, though, too, & hopefully more chillaxing will ensue.

@cammie0526There was a whole convo about telling work in the "Ask a STM/STM+ January" thread you should check out. I'm a grad student trying to graduate this semester, so--I'm not really sure what to do myself! But I'm a unique sitch.

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 9/13 // 6w4d

Baby is the size of a(n): sweet pea

Upcoming Appointments: Friday 1/25! ***TW I'm PGAL***This is my "check-in" u/s to compare w/ the one they did last week bc my betas didn't do what they wanted them to do & so we make sure we are on track. It'll also be first appointment, moved up from its original date, I believe. I don't think she'll want/need to see me ten days later? IDK we'll see.

How are you feeling?: Yesterday was rough-- I was super exhausted and just felt sick and blah very generally. I am nauseated like every 2-3 days and right before every meal when I am. Today is better though--being back at work in front of the classroom is super helpful to my state of mind and physical body, I think.

Rants/Raves: Rave: First real teaching day of my lit class went well today! I feel like I had them actually interested in Walt Whitman and his "Song of Myself." / Rant: Behind on writing my diss & gonna go work on it now! Typing this for accountability. Thx yall.

Questions: None for now. Could someone build a time machine so I can fast forward to Friday already?

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? I have always loved fall, with a summer at a close behind second. I love the heat, but I love fall clothes and Halloween and football. In Louisiana, my current place of living, Fall is basically Summer, II anyway...

@kagesstarshroom get at that dissertation, girl! You got this. Glad class went well!

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 6w 6d/9/12

Baby is the size of a(n): Sweet Pea/Popping Firecracker

Upcoming Appointments: The 30th for another ultrasound and then appt with my OB.

How are you feeling?: Feeling pretty anxious and nervous. I am not feeling very consistent symptoms other than fatigue and random cramps. I have dry heaved several times which is comforting, but it's not happening every day like I figured it would.

Rants/Raves: Just still struggling with the fact that I am measuring a week behind. I know I could have O'ed late, had delayed implantation, etc. but based on OPKs and when I got my first BFP (8dpo), I am just so confused as to what happened and it is not doing my PGAL brain any favors.

    Questions: Nah

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? I love Autumn. The leaves changing, feeling cozy, football, Halloween, hearty soups, scarves and boots, I LOVE IT ALL. Close second is Spring. The smell of everything blooming and the feeling of everything being new. It's amazing.

@kagesstarshroom precisely. Most of the southeast doesn't really have a fall. There are a few days of 70 before summer turns off in October and it gets cloudy and cold until March. Lol if we had a real fall... I don't think I could choose. You guys in the Northeast definitely get to enjoy the fall!

@zuuls_mom sorry for the serious mind games! Wishing you all the best at your next u/s next week!

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 9/14, 6w4d

Baby is the size of a(n): Sweet Pea

Upcoming Appointments: Had my 1st U/S today. The good news is we could see everything my RE expected to see and even saw the little heartbeat flicker. But he did say the baby is measuring small and hb was a little slow at 82bpm. He said to be cautiously optimistic.

How are you feeling?: I'm good. I have almost no symptoms. Just like with my DS. Just a little cramping here and there. And sore boobs.

Rants/Raves: I’m relieved to see a baby and a heartbeat but now kinda nervous that it’s measuring small.

    Questions: Nah

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Fall. I live in the North East and love the Fall foliage, and the cooler weather. Plus apple picking/pumpkin picking, apple cider. Fall just has so many great things.
