I wonder if crocs would work. Not that I’ve ever tried them, but they seem loose enough to accommodate expansion.
i don’t have any issues yet, but my winter go-to is LLBean moccasin boots - a solid two inches of rubber for slush/puddles, slip on, plenty of space for wool socks (though not air casts, if you hit that level of swelling).
My feet are already terribly swollen. i have been able to wear my Sketcher Go Walks so far. I think they are flexible enough that they are stretching well. I always have mark on my foot by the end of the day but at least they fit and are comfortable.
My day to day shoes are a pair of men’s skate shoes and they seem to be much roomier then woman’s shoes. My feet are a little swollen but not too bad and I haven’t had issues with my shoes so far.

My feet have been swelling really bad and I don’t think anything useful really fits into the dress code for work. Honestly the only thing I can wear that doesn’t hurt are my slippers right now. My sister suggested moccasins for when I’m not at work, but want to go out and about.
Have you tried compression socks to reduce swelling? It might make you current shoes workable for a little while longer.
ETA: I tried to link the ones I use but they are sold out. They were listed as Compression Trouser Socks. I have them in black and basically no one would know they are compression socks but they do help with swelling.
Thanks ladies! I ordered some compression socks on Amazon and a nice coworker gave me a pair of black slippers. It will be nice when I can see the bones in my ankles again.
My feet aren't awful yet (26w), but I'm happy that comfy flat mules are everywhere! I just bought a cute pair yesterday, and sized up a little so I'm pretty sure they'll make it to the end.
I am blessed with fairy feet... They are seriously super tiny. I wear a size 2.5 in kids! But I just live in my deerfoam house shoes when my feet are swollen or uncomfortable because my shoes mostly consist of converses, they aren't too forgiving when you're foot size keeps changing.
I haven’t had pregnancy related swelling yet, but this time last year I was recovering from foot surgery that left me with a very swollen right foot for a few months. I pretty much lived in LL Bean mocassins which were wide enough and also cushy. Plus they’re kinda cute for winter! Good luck!
If you are having lots of swelling try eating 85-100g of protein per day and taking Either sunfood Spirulina and Chlorella tablets or green foods organic Chlorella tabs (sprouts caries them if you have one local or amazon). (Chat with your doctor first and/or research).
I did did this on the advice of my midwife last pregnancy and this pregnancy and have had no swelling in my legs/ankles/feet at all even at 40weeks (my son was born on his due date).
