hi all - I was hesitant to start a new thread but ultimately thought it would be helpful for anyone else going through this, as I had a bit of trouble finding info.
Long story short I had a late D&C which caused Ashermans. I was very very lucky to actually be ovulating when I went to the local OBGYN complaining about my super light periods post d&c, as I am sure otherwise he would’ve just concluded I wasn’t ovulating. He suspected complete obliteration of my uterus. I got a 2nd opinion in town and was told Iikely I had a uterine septum.
At this point I was skeptical of all drs and on the recommendation of ladies in the Ashermans Facebook group I flew to Dr Isaacson in Boston for my hysteroscopy. The whole time I was thinking I am crazy for doing this based on a bunch of random women on Facebooks advice!
Well - turned out I had scarring and it was 1) in a completely different location than the local dr said 2) mild and not obliterated and 3) no septum. I can not recommend enough traveling to just see the expert for this. I’m good to go now and hopefully back on the TTC train.
