Would you rather PIO or Supps?

I'm sure this has been asked so apologies in advance for the repitition. For IVF #1 (ended in c/p) I was on Endometrin 3x/day and hated it- discharge, inconvenience etc.

Gearing up for FET #1 dr said I could stick with Endometrin or switch to PIO 1x/day. I figured PIO might not be that bad but we went for the injection lesson this morning and it looks pretty unpleasant. DH is a little scared of doing the IM injection. They said I can do either. For those who have tried both, what did you prefer?

    I prefer the PIO.  The shot hurts and causes bruises, but I would rather have that once a day than the suppositories.

    PIO for sure - the shots never bothered me (so long as I warmed them up first).  Those prog. supps are NASTY.

    I'd take PIO, no question. ?When I did PIO, I never had lumps or bruises. ?It was quick and easy. ?I felt a little pinch or stick going in, but then I was set for the whole day. ?I hate, hate, hate supps! ?I think they are disgusting, messy, and inconvenient. ?

    I don't have a choice and it sucks. ?I'm on Lovenox so my new RE doesn't want me doing IM injections. ?I miss PIO. ?Bizarre but true.

    I hate, hate, hate endometrin! I have never done PIO, but would much prefer a shot over those annoying leaky suppositories. I don't know what it is called, but my nurse suggested a once a day gel instead of 2 or 3 times a day suppository. I think I'm going to try this next cycle.

    I prefer the PIO even though the injections bother me because I couldn't deal with the gross discharge. At least with PIO I feel normal between shots and the shots are over quickly.

    I'd take PIO over supps in a heartbeat.

    I dont mind the shots at all and IMO the supps as someone mentioned are just NASTY. They are gross, make you feel icky all day, leak, smell, etc....

    IUI#1 - 05/20/08 = BFP! M/C - 14 weeks :( baby girl
    IUI#2 - 01/07/09 = BFP!!! Twins!! Pre-term labor 20 weeks :( lost twin girls
    IUI#3 - 1/31/10 = BFP!!!! M/C - 8wks :( again
    IVF #1 - 7/2010 = c/p
    FET - 9/2010 = another c/p
    IUI#4 - 2/14/11 = BFP!

    I forgot to include...

    If you're considering PIO but your DH is wary doing the IM injection, ask your nurse to draw "targets" on your hips with a Sharpie. ?My DH felt much more confident when he was sure he was injecting in the right spot. ?:)
