@jennifer_louise I think we require a poll before we can make changes to any of the daily/weekly/monthly threads. Not all of TTGP will necessarily see this in the randoms thread so it should be posed to the entire group, including those who primarily post in the TTCAL, IF, and TFAS threads. I don't personally have any objections to the change but we've always operated as a democracy around here so the changes should be put to a vote to give everyone a chance to weigh in.

Checking out at the grocery store tonight. I had bananas, prepackaged fresh vegetable stir fry mix, gluten free pizza and Almond milk Hazelnut coffee creamer.

Cashier says to me "I know what you're doing! You're making smoothies!!"

Haha...sure ok. Weirdest damn smoothies I have ever heard of, but ok.

Thanks everyone! It's taken us a long time, but I'm hoping to be completely done next week. We have to tile the shower and frame in the door, but that's about it. I told MH he can't poop in the new toilet until the door has been hung, so hoping that will motivate him! 😂

@prpl11butterfly I'm a huge Pats fan. I grew up 5 miles from the stadium and have been a fan since the Bledsoe days. My dog that passed away at 13.5 was named Brady, and I think it's insane that he's been our starting QB long enough for MH to get a puppy, name him after Tom Brady, and then have him pass away of old age almost 14 years later, while Tom Brady is still going strong as our QB I try not to be overly obnoxious in my fandom, though, because I know everyone else hates us.

@prpl11butterfly and @shamrocandroll DH and I both grew up in New England, but he is NOT a Patriots fan. I don't really like football, I just watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and the snacks.

DH prefers college football and he is much more into soccer than any other sport. His parents are from Portugal and Brazil, so soccer is in his DNA.

@shamrocandroll I feel like baby shower games should include the one I've seen done at bridal showers where the bridal party interviews the partner and records their answers to a bunch of questions, then the bride has to try to guess what she thinks they'll say. Except for this one they ask YH questions about how babies/TTGP works and see what they say. Pretttty sure it would be hysterical.

@b_1029, omg your H's question is hysterical! My first cycle TTC, I mentioned to H "I ovulated yesterday" and he asked "so can you take a test today to see if you are KU?" I *think* he was joking.... but I was too afraid to ask! 😂

DH only knows how all of this really works because his family raised sheep when he was younger. And when they're trying to breed them, they need to make sure it's done at the right time.

@kiki047 I think that would be hilarious, but unfortunately there are a lot of women out there who don't know exactly what TTGP truly entails. I found somewhere that roughly 49% of pregnancies are unplanned. I get pissed off again every time I think of that statistic

@lulu1180 you're so right, even my friends that have done IVF don't all understand how their cycles work, they just know they went for some testing and the RE gave them drugs and they took them. I was shocked at how many of them didn't actually know/understand what it was they were taking and why. If I were to write my own questions I'd keep them pretty mild/basic like How long is the first trimester, and What does FRER stand for?
@shamrocandroll does anyone actually like those games? I've had a few that weren't so bad but they're few and far between. The "Whats In Your Purse" game is only fun because I almost always win, ha!

Apparently this is a UO, but I like baby/bridal shower games...

I helped with a shower for a former coworkers daughter once and I found/came up with a game where you try to match the gestation time for different animals.
