Mamaroo?

What are your thoughts on the Mamaroo rocker? I've always had a traditional swing for my other babies but,  am torn on the Mamaroo

Re: Mamaroo?

  • I think it’s very cool but kinda pricey. It runs the same risk as any other swing/bouncer/bassinet. That your kid could hate it.

If I found a really really great deal on it or someone wanted to buy me one or let me try it out I would be all for it. But not sure I’d do it otherwise.
    this is my backup acct.

  • I bought one used from a friend for my DD.  I tried several times to use it and she hated it. She liked the $50 basic swing much better. Luckily I didn't lose money and was able to resell it on marketplace but I personally wouldn't buy it new.
  • We received one as a Christmas gift which I'm pretty excited about since I probably wouldn't have spent the money on it myself.  I've heard mixed reviews.. some of my friends little ones have loved it and others have hated it.  Hopefully ours likes it!
  • I loved the mamaroo, as PICU/NICU nurse these were our golden ticket. However, I spent all the money on one for my daughter and she freaking hated it. We ended up buying a cheap swing and she ended up loving that. All babies are different, so go with whatever you want. I would recommend buying a used one!
  • I found one listed on a Facebook buy sell trade page for $70.  It was used for 2 months.  Talked her down to $60.  We also got a regular old swing from a neighbor for free.  I registered for another 4 moms thing ( it’s a smaller/cheaper thing than mamaroo) that was on clearance for $50, my mom bought it that day.  I guess I need all the things!
