Good morning, Bumpies! 🌞

As most of you know, there was some chatter about a potential move off of The Bump (TB) and to Facebook this past fall. In was decided in November that we would create a Private Group (PG) right here on TB as a “first step” towards getting to know each other on a more personal level.

The PG was created in November and 42 of us headed over there. We spent the better part of the month getting to know each other as more than just our TB usernames. There were some stragglers who requested to join the PG in mid-December and at that time, the Admins (with input from the PG membership) decided that we would happily entertain new member requests in 30 days as long as the Bumpies requesting admittance were active here on the main TB board.

Since the initial move to a PG here on TB, we have migrated to a Group on Facebook (FB). This group, for obvious reasons, is pretty locked down and by invite only.

As for where we stand today... There have been some requests to join the PG here on TB as well as the FB group. The Admins have chatted and decided that since on 12/14 we stated that we’d welcome new membership requests to the PG in 30 days, that is what we will do. On 1/14, we will accept new members I to the PG here on TB with the caveat being that the members must have been active here on this main TB board. The PG certainly isn’t as busy these days with the move to FB but we understand that some members have no desire to go to FB. Alongside that, we do hope to get to know more of you who want to be members of this community before opening the FB group to new members.

Could I possibly be invited? I dont have a lot of time to post, usually just weekends. But I love reading what other ladies are going through and commiserating- and adding in advice if it hasn't been answered already

Unfortunately I’ve had zero success in joining the private group. Unfortunately mobile is my only option as I don’t have a computer. So don’t feel like I’m avoiding everyone.

I’d so appreciate being added to the FB group. I’ve had so many probs with the bump app being glitchy but I’ve really tried to keep up with reading along. And that in itself has been helpful to be over the past several months.

@megpeg0621 - At this point, no one new is being added to the FB group. If you’d like to be added to the Private Group that is housed here on The Bump, the Admin team will consider your application in 30 days. Qualifications for being added are a consistent presence here on this BMB, which includes actively participating in threads. Thanks for your interest 😀
