@prpl11butterfly I went over recently because @harrierwife left us with the teaser that she was finding out baby's sex the day she posted on the grad thread, and I was hoping she updated over there. There's isn't even a recent PGAL thread. It's like crickets over there.
@ruby696 Here's hoping it's because PGAL brain died down after people went into their 2nd tri! I know something went down that caused meatballs to get banned, but I think her friend ballofmeat is still holding down the fort over there.

It's annual review writing time. I'm currently writing my least favorite employee's review. He's brilliant, but lazy as hell. He consistently delivers the bare minimum he's asked for, and never stretches outside of his comfort zone. One of his goals this year was to be more innovative in his work, rather than just doing things the same ol' way. He gave himself a "consistently achieves" and gave two really simple, lame, and frankly inapplicable examples. Also, one was based on a project from 2017. Really, dude?

@shamrocandroll we just had our self-appraisals due last week. My coworker, who started with us back in May told me to rate myself all 5s (as in went way above and beyond) but you have to have examples and justification when you rate yourself that way. 3s are "solid performance" and 2s are "needs improvement" and let's be honest, there's usually something you could have done a little better during the year so that's really common.
He later told me he gave himself all 4s. Yet he's the one who hasn't been logging customer calls like we're suppose to.... So yeah, don't think you deserve the 4s buddy...

Has anyone else been following the Jayme Closs story? Ever since her abduction I've just felt shaken. The town where she's from is the town my grandparents used to live in. We used to go there all the time for visits, spend the weekend, go fishing, camping. I'm just so glad she got away but I can't imagine how hard of a road she has in front of her.

First, I've lurked so much the past month and a half (barely posting) and this is such a great community. It almost humbles my jealousy over fb announcements because I'm truly happy for random people on here that i know have struggled. I've realized I don't know the struggle most people have gone through to become pregnant and I should be happy for them. Part of me wants to be apart of this community for a long time to be part of the "grads" but the other part wants my time on this board to hopefully be short. Second, You on netflix is great and since you guys were talking about Shay Mitchell, did anyone see she experienced a loss last year? She made it known on new years day and it really touched me seeing a celebrity with tons of followers trying to normalize pregnancy loss. Third, since you guys mentioned june. I am forever grateful that was my BMB before my loss because there were so many great people on that board. When i experienced my loss and asked for advice so many people were helpful.
@inthewoods23 Our levels are 1-4, and this guy gave himself all 3s. It's exhausting to do this review after review, but it's like he sees no flaws in just being lazy and barely skating by. But I also don't think he's going to change anytime soon.

I know we have some medical professionals here and I need opinions. Fever after flu shot, is 102.5 okay? It was 100.3 this morning and I took some cold meds and it went down to 99.7. I just can't stand the thought of choking down more pills (but I'm sure DH is "force" me to when he get home)
@katyl90 Glad you've decided to join us - this really is the best community of women. It's totally normal to feel like you just want to stick around to get to know everyone and really join the community, yet still be fully conscious of the fact that we're all just hoping to move on sooner than later. My best advice is just to join in wherever you feel comfortable and take it day by day! We've been lucky to have a really incredible group of ladies graduate recently, some "veterans" and some relative newbies who have still made really meaningful connections in their short stay with us. TTGP does have a lot of turnover but in my experience over the last 9 months or so, everyone is welcome!!

@katyl90 As a fellow/former June member, welcome! There are quite a few of us here from June. This is a great board to be a part of and you'll have lots of support as you continue your TTC journey.
@katyl90 fellow former June member here too. I don't know that I could have survived this without the TTCAL community. They have been a rock for me. I'm sure you will find the same. I hope your stay is short ❤
@kiki047@ruby696@prpl11butterfly Thank you all! I really want to contribute more. I think I get intimidated because everyone just seems so much more experienced than me. Also, TTC and TTCAL is such a touchy subject and I feel as if I could offend someone and would hate to do that. I wish I would've found this community back when I first started TTC last spring.
@katyl90 You can always start with the TCAL board and branch out from there when you're comfortable. We do TW posts involving living children and only reference them if it's extremely pertinent, but otherwise we are all very open about our losses.
@kiki047, it is so very true! And the dumb asshole peed in the laundry again(I left it out to test him, lol) so I guess I need to try and see how to get a cat urine sample?!!!
@holly321 oh geez, good luck. I’ve always left them at the clinic to get urine samples. Although my one tuxedo cat will almost always come pee in a freshly cleaned litter box so in theory it wouldn’t be difficult with her. She’s also the culprit that pees on anything she doesn’t like.

@holly321 getting a sample from a cat is impossible here. They give you s small small sample of sand (some special stuff) to put in an empty little box. My cat can be locked in the bathroom all damn night and will not use it.
@prpl11butterfly, you made me realize that I was really over thinking this. He will pee immediately when he feels trapped. I just need to lock him in a room with his special litter. Lol, not my brightest moment. I kept worrying about how I know who peed and such.
@prpl11butterfly, it is so infuriating. At least he generally goes in “convenient “ places, and my mom swears my house does not smell, so that’s a good sign.
We we have one more change that may be upsetting him we can fix. The store has been out of our normal liter, and giving us a similar kind, so maybe that’s what is making him mad. Although, he did not pee in the house (outside the shower, which if he peed in that everyday until he died, I could deal with, if that was he only place he peed!) until today, when I left the clothes out. I had been hiding all the laundry from him for days and he isn’t going elsewhere.
You guys! I have a kitchen!! First time since december ! We bought everything to redo all 4 of our bathrooms and after exhausting all available storage space, 2 vanities were placed in my kitchen so you’d have to squeeze by to get to the fridge and pantry. Which was a huge issue for me since In the morning, I stagger like a drunk to the kitchen for a glass of water and kept hip checking them. Lol.
@katyl90 I'm from June as well. I'm sorry you are here, but this group of ladies is incredible. Jump in wherever you feel comfortable once you figure out how things work around here.

@holly321 I sympathize with this so much. My cat started peeing on things randomly out of nowhere and it took me like a year of trying everything to figure out how to get her to stop. I ended up having to get a special (very expensive) kind of liter. I could only get it online, so my mailman got to deliver 40 lb bags of it to me, which I'm sure he loved.

@holly321 when I had to get a sample from my elder cat before he was diagnosed with kidney failure, the vet gave us newspaper (it had been run through a paper shredder) instead of litter. There was just enough to cover the bottom of the pan but not enough to soak up all the urine. I didn’t have any issue getting enough.
Cats can be super picky about litter, so maybe that’s it? My previous cat flipped out when I changed “scent” (from a scented one to unscented). Peed right outside of box for few days.
Speaking of cats, my two little furdevils decided to have an epic battle all over the kitchen counters and stove top and then into the living room. There were tufts of fur EVERYWHERE. My dog was sitting there staring at them trying to figure out what the hell was going on.

Thank you all! I really want to contribute more. I think I get intimidated because everyone just seems so much more experienced than me. Also, TTC and TTCAL is such a touchy subject and I feel as if I could offend someone and would hate to do that. I wish I would've found this community back when I first started TTC last spring.
