    • How far along? EDD? 36 weeks | Feb 4 (scheduled c-section on 2/7 as of right now)
    • How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling ok during the day.  At night I’ve been having lots of braxton hicks (friday night I was having them less than 10 min apart but it wasn’t painful enough to be real labor.)  I WAS feeling it down low like something was potentially happening dilation wise so I will mention it at my appointment this week.  Also very poor sleep - I'm restless at night again and the reflux sucks.
    • Any upcoming appointments? Wednesday, BPP and doppler.  May cancel ultrasound if doctor is comfortable with it.
    • GTKY: What foods that you haven’t been able to eat are you planning on eating when baby comes?  Sushi and an italian grinder!

    • How far along? EDD? 28 weeks, 3 days. EDD March 29!
    • How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling good overall, though still dealing with reflux. Also, I keep saying I'm going to get more active and still haven't. I need a kick in the pants to move more.
    • Any upcoming appointments? 3 hour glucose test tomorrow, eeeks.
    • GTKY: What foods can you not wait to eat when baby comes? Sushi!! I will admit I've had a few turkey lunchmeat sandwiches throughout this pregnancy (of course that would be one of my cravings), but I'm also really looking forward to that being a regular part of my lunch rotation again.
    • Don't forget about HDBD or PIP your nursery! Our nursery is finally cleared out, but my in-laws stayed in there last week (there's currently a futon in there instead of a crib), so it's nothing exciting to look at. I'm hoping we'll have the appropriate furniture in there in the next few weeks!
@mayflower513 I hear you on the uncomfortable sleep. Some nights I sleep okay still but others I just randomly wake up and can't go back to sleep even though I'm exhausted. And ugh with the reflux!

    • How far along? EDD? 28w4d / March 28th
    • How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling good! I'm right there along with you guys with thje reflux. Went back to routine twice a day Zantac to avoid it. Oh and bought ice cream last night...told myself the milk would settle things  :D
    • Any upcoming appointments? Friday appt with growth scan (maybe? Emailing to double check) FX it is...feel like I haven't seen baby in forever!
    • GTKY: What foods can you not wait to eat when baby comes? Coffee! I know they say you can have it, but I haven't chanced it. The Chai Tea isn't cutting it anymore!
    • Don't forget about HDBD or PIP your nursery! FX my new rug is here this week and I get curtains, then I'll post a photo. Then we should be 100% completed!
    @uterusdreams Best of luck tomorrow!!!

  • @mayflower513 good luck on wednesday! hopefully you can find some relief from reflux and sleeplessness this week!
@uterusdreams good luck on the 3hr tomorrow!
@kristimh80 good luck on friday! can't wait to see your nursery pics!
    • How far along? EDD? 33+3 / no later than Feb 10
    • How is everyone feeling this week? Not bad. Like everyone else acid reflux is rearing it's ugly head again. Baby has turned head down and is sitting lower now putting pressure on my hips/pelvis that's a bit uncomfortable. Still having the "vibration" feeling from him being on a nerve. Nothing crazy though.
    • Any upcoming appointments? Had my MFM growth scan this morning. OB on thursday for bp check and NST. My BP was 140/85 this morning at the MFM. They are just going to keep watching it closely and have me checking at home still. Baby boy is still growing like a champ. He's now in the 93rd Percentile, and measuring 2.5 weeks ahead at about 5lbs 13oz. His feet are HUGE, they measured 3in long today. Big feet do run my family, so not unexpected, but still lol MFM is expecting him to be about 22in and 7.5lbs when I'm induced btwn 37-38 weeks. He's also got a bunch of hair and super chubby cheeks. :)
    • GTKY: What foods can you not wait to eat when baby comes? same as @mayflower513 ! I can't wait for sushi and a good italian sammie!
    • Don't forget about HDBD or PIP your nursery! Outside of a few picture frames to be hung, we are finally finished! Couple of pics below!

@uterusdreams I need to be more active too.  Not sure when that'll actually happen outside of in my thoughts, haha.  Good luck with the 3 hour test!
@kristimh80 I should be taking zantac but for some reason am being dumb and not taking it.  I took it with my first LO and it definitely helped.  Maybe I'll just start.  I've been drinking coffee.  I didn't until into my 2nd tri and then the arrhythmia started so I stopped but then after not noticing a difference I started again.  The specialist last week said he wouldn't avoid it either so that made me feel better haha.  Are you not even drinking decaf?  You're strong!  Good luck with your growth scan Friday.
@halips thank you!  Sounds like baby is doing well in there.  And love the nursery!  Very warm and cozy.
I called my doctors office to ask them to ask my doctor if he had a problem with my cancelling my ultrasound Wednesday and all I got was "this is for a biophysical, it's my understanding that you DO need these every week".  Gee, thanks.  I'm so glad you know everything that's been going on and are as educated as my OB.  I'm losing my patience, guys.  I guess I'll just suck it up and pay for yet another ultrasound and talk to him about it at my appointment with him like an hour after which means I'll be sitting in the office for like 3 hours instead of getting paid at work since they're never running on time.

  • mayflower513 I need to be added to the list. EDD 3/23 with a boy!

    ·         How far along? EDD? 29 weeks

    ·         How is everyone feeling this week? Big and getting a little uncomfortable

    ·         Any upcoming appointments? Not until Jan 25

    ·         GTKY: What foods can you not wait to eat when baby comes? Sushi for sure

    ·         Don't forget about HDBD or PIP your nursery!

mayflower513 Good luck at your Wednesday appt. so, you C-section is scheduled after your due date—is that because you hope to go naturally but if not then you will have a c-section? Just curious! Haha.

uterusdreams I’ve been eating a lot of lunch meats, just making sure it’s from a trusted source, and fresh. It still worries me though but sometimes I just really really want a ham or turkey sandwich. Good luck on your 3 hour!!!

kristimh80 that’s awesome that you’re almost done with the nursery. We haven’t even started!! Good for you for not drinking coffee. I wouldn’t be able to survive without my iced lattes. Lol

@halips the nursery is so sooo cute!!! Love it!

Everyones talking about moving more and being more active. I gave up but I’m already trying to plan my after C-section recovery exercise and diet routine. So I’m going to do the “Perfect Body” program with Erin Motz from Bad Yogi. IT’s all online so I should have no excuse.  https://courses.badyogi.com/product/pbyp/

  • @mayflower513 I was the same way!! 1st tri I had it horribly, then 2nd tri was manageable. Now in 3rd tri it's come back and I couldn't take it anymore. B/t baby pushing everything up and reflux, it was getting hard to breathe at times. I'm so sorry aout your doctor situation. Will insurance not help cover if it's required for medical reasons? I now with my 2nd AS, insurance was going to only pay 90% for it, but ended up covering it.

@Drove2u Ahh an iced latte sounds amazing!! I quit cold turkey b/c MH was paranoid and gave me so much crap about it. Now all the preggos in his office drink it 24/7 so he doesn't care as much. Think I'm at the point where I've made it this far! lol Are you not on 2 week appts now? I told MH I feel like the more appts is like going back to how it was in the RE days.

  • @kristimh80 I hear you!!! I'm sure that first cup will taste soo good. haha I guess I should be on 2 week appts? Idk but Jan 25th is the next time I can make it in so it has to be. Also, I walked out of the last apt after waiting for the doc for 50 min so no idea what he had planned for me. They tried to schedule me in to make up that appt this week but I'm back at work now and schedule is kinda crazy!

@drove2u so sorry - you're added!  and thank you.  My c section is scheduled after my due date because it's the only day my doctor has available.  I am planning on talking to him about it wednesday as well.  I may move it up with a different doctor, it's just one I saw once my last pregnancy and haven't seen at all this time and I didn't like her back then.
@kristimh80 I have a copay for every ultrasound.  $75... and on the days I get both a biophysical and growth scan (even though it's at the same time), I get charged for each so $150.  I literally owe like $600 for december between the ER visit and office ultrasounds.  I want to cry.  How did you get your insurance to cover the 2nd anatomy scan?

  • @halips such a cute nursery!! I love the yellow.

@kristimh80 I went cold turkey with coffee at the beginning, I actually had a pretty strong coffee aversion so that helped me not miss it. But then within the last month my aversion went away so I've been periodically having some regular coffee - but even though I'm not totally averse to it anymore, it just doesn't taste as good as it used to. So I'm hoping that once baby girl is here, coffee will taste as amazing again as it once did lol

  • Hi everyone,
Jumping in as I just hit 28 weeks! I was away from the boards over the holidays because I had a crazy amount of family time (but very enjoyable) but it's good to be back.

@mayflower513 can you add me: Baby boy expected April 1 (April fools!)

    How far along? EDD?
    28 weeks (April 1)

How is everyone feeling this week?
Feeling good. Reflux also starting up in the last few days... @kristimh80 I agree ice cream helps :)

    Any upcoming appointments?
Had OB check-up this morning. My BP is a bit up (135/80) and I've been noticing it creeping up in the last week or so - I had existing hypertension prior to pregnancy so I have a home monitor. I've had great readings all throughout pregnancy so far, so I'm a bit worried to see it increase now. OB just wants me to keep an eye, and we can up my dose of meds if necessary. I notice she added a biophysical to the requisition for my upcoming growth scan. I'm guessing this is to make sure everything looks okay, but I was a bit annoyed that she didn't tell me she was adding it. It seems early for a biophysical and I would have liked her to explain it to me instead of me having to google it.

GTKY: What foods can you not wait to eat when baby comes?
    All the soft cheeses!!

    @halips adorable nursury :)

  • @scikap Welcome to 3rd tri!! My BP was also up at my last appt. 134/83 I believe it was. But also had the glucose drink that morning, so was a sugar high and nerves so maybe why. I'd def ask your dr about the additional stuff. I'm sure it's just a precaution and nothing to worry about. :)

  • @scikap added!  hopefully your BP can be brought down if need be.  It is early for biophysicals - my specialist was very cautious about recommending/condoning them even after 30 weeks because they may be an inaccurate indication of baby’s health just because they’re so young.  I’d definitely ask your doctor about it!

    @scikap

My OB said that it's common for BP to start trending up in the last trimester -- just want to make sure it stays below 160/110 which is the point at which they start getting concerned. He put me on some blood pressure medicine to keep it stable and that did the trick until around 35 weeks when they started to suspect pre-E (not just due to the high BP but other labs incl. urine). There are two dx they use- pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) and pre-Eclampsia.  You can have PIH without pre-E - and you can have pre-E without PIH (although that's rare).

  • @mbradfo2 Thanks for the information! I'm interested to see what Friday's appt brings. I had my MIL, glucose, etc going on at that appt...so hoping all that just triggered higher BP lol I think I finally figured out who you were on the PAIF FB page. • @mayflower513 I hear you on feeling restless at night! I don’t sleep well at the best of times, and pregnancy really hasn’t helped! Sorry you’re having to pay so much for the ultrasounds!

@uterusdreams If you figure out how to get that kick in the pants to up your activity, let me know!

@kristimh80 What an amazing excuse for ice cream! I’m going to have to use that.

@halips What a cute nursery! Looks awesome.

@Drove2u Welcome! Good for you for planning out a postpartum exercise program! Great idea.

@scikap Welcome! So frustrating when doctors add tests or procedures without explaining what’s going on!

  • How far along? EDD? 34w5d, 2/13
How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling pretty good, though still the same muscle/joint pains. Rolling over in bed at night is quite a challenge now! I'm finding it hard to believe that baby will be here in just over 5 weeks. I don't feel prepared!
Any upcoming appointments? Acupuncture tomorrow, physical therapy and midwife on Wednesday
GTKY: What foods can you not wait to eat when baby comes? Sushi for sure!
  • @darkstar42 Exciting, you're getting so close! I can imagine the rolling over issue. I'm only 29 weeks and feel it's already becoming a struggle so have started sleeping with pillows propped to make it easier.

  • scikap yay!! Welcome to Third tri!!

kristimh80 awww can you add me on the PAIF FB group? Is it a private group? I’m not open about our issues on social media so don’t want it popping up on someone else’s feed that I wrote in the group or I participate in the group. Thanks!

I feel like we all need to get together for a sushi dinner after the babies are born!

Guys, I just scheduled my C- section—March 18!!! I can’t wait. And my last day commuting in the office will be Feb 14th but I’ll be working from home until March 18. Now I’m just hoping the baby doesn’t come before then.

  • @Drove2u Send you an invite! Hopefully it goes thru :) Yay for scheduling your c-section! How exciting!! Glad you are stopping your commuting soon! When flying, have you been wearing compression socks? My dr mentioned that at my last appt.

I have my last work trip next week but it's just to Baltimore so a train ride away. And then I won't be traveling again until August/Sept. Thank goodness!!!

  • @Drove2u I love that you're planning for post baby activity. And thank you for sharing the perfect body yoga. I LOVE Yoga but have found anything but meditation and some really basic stretches to be difficult for the last 8 weeks. This program sounds awesome!  And we totally all need a sushi night LOL

@scikap yay, welcome! My bp started creeping up slowly right around 28 weeks as well. I'm on 100mg labetalol 2x a day and have been since 12 weeks. I didn't have preexisting hypertension, but noticed it with pregnancy around the 8 week mark. Even with that, my reading yesterday (33w appt) was 140/85. Dr is just having me monitor at home 2x a day still and is watching it closely. He did start NST's at 32 weeks and weekly appts at 31 though, as a result of my bp readings. Hopefully yours is able to remain stable and below the "worry" zone for a while longer.

@darkstar42 good luck with all your appts this week! And I hear you on the rolling over... pretty sure I pulled a muscle in my back trying to roll last night lol

@mayflower513 I don't know how you have as much patience with your dr's as you do! I would have lost it long ago!

@kristimh80 baby must be bumping a nerve up there for you too! Mine is really low in my pelvis, like I have a cell phone on vibrate sitting on my cervix lol It's just such a weird feeling!

omg ladies I’m going to lose. my. shit.

The specialist last week was only supposed to be for a growth scan.  I asked OB to tell them no biophysical, only growth scan.

I just looked at my insurance claim and on it is:

    Biophysical ($75 charge to me)
Growth scan ($75 charge to me)
Echocardiography ($75 charge to me plus another line item for $63)
    Consult ($40 charge to me)
And some color flow shit for $30

Total amount it’s saying we owe is $357 there’s no fucking way.

Can I refuse to pay for anything except the growth scan and consult??

@mayflower513 Sounds like they failed to communicate with the billing department what you actually had done / dr never adjusted your service. I'd call and let them know that you were over-billed and what you actually had done. Can you email your nurse, Dr or billing department directly? I know I've emailed the billing dept in the past for items they tried to bill me for that weren't correct and they handled it.

The other thing I would do if they give you push back on recoding it or adjusting it is to review the records and see if there's evidence of all of those things being done. If they were done, I'd see what the doctor's office can do since you were not apprised of all of these extra charges at the time of your appointment (and complain to your insurance as well). If they were not done, that's sorta a big NO-NO and I would point that out to the office staff to see if you can get something that way (before going to insurance). You should be able to get your records, especially if you offer to pick them up yourself.

  • Thank you @mbradfo2.  I know they looked at the heart and they probably did a biophysical to look at something else but the scan was booked to just check the growth.  So the report will, I’m sure, reflect all those “scans” but I only needed the growth checked.  I get biophysicals weekly at my OB and had one 2 days before I went there so I really didn’t need it.  And the ER checked the heart on 12/26 so I didn’t need that either!  They didn’t ask or tell me anything other than what they saw.  Super frustrating.

  • @mayflower513 Ugh, that's even more frustrating being you just had the other things done and only requested 1 thing. I'd def call and fight it. They shouldn't be adding services just to pad their books or because they just want to do it. At least without telling you first.

  • @mayflower513 that's all so frustrating, I hope you're able to resolve that, keep us posted! Also, you and your bump are adorable.

@kristimh80 what a cute and perfect bump! I love that shirt.

    @scikap welcome!

@darkstar42, you're getting so close! Can I ask specifically what you go to acupuncture for? I went when we were just beginning the IVF process, but haven't been in a long time.

Update on me, I did pass the 3 hour glucose test, phew. The nurse said my 1 hour reading was high, but the 2 hour was normal and the 3 hour was low. Told me I should still limit sugar and white flour, which is fine, but I feel like it's pretty normal to have a high 1 hour in this test?? Anyway, I'm just glad I passed!
