Re: 3rd Trimester Check-in | w/o Jan 7
- How far along? EDD? 28 weeks, 3 days. EDD March 29!
- How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling good overall, though still dealing with reflux. Also, I keep saying I'm going to get more active and still haven't. I need a kick in the pants to move more.
- Any upcoming appointments? 3 hour glucose test tomorrow, eeeks.
- GTKY: What foods can you not wait to eat when baby comes? Sushi!! I will admit I've had a few turkey lunchmeat sandwiches throughout this pregnancy (of course that would be one of my cravings), but I'm also really looking forward to that being a regular part of my lunch rotation again.
- Don't forget about HDBD or PIP your nursery! Our nursery is finally cleared out, but my in-laws stayed in there last week (there's currently a futon in there instead of a crib), so it's nothing exciting to look at. I'm hoping we'll have the appropriate furniture in there in the next few weeks!
@mayflower513 I hear you on the uncomfortable sleep. Some nights I sleep okay still but others I just randomly wake up and can't go back to sleep even though I'm exhausted. And ugh with the reflux!- How far along? EDD? 28w4d / March 28th
- How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling good! I'm right there along with you guys with thje reflux. Went back to routine twice a day Zantac to avoid it. Oh and bought ice cream last night...told myself the milk would settle things
- Any upcoming appointments? Friday appt with growth scan (maybe? Emailing to double check) FX it is...feel like I haven't seen baby in forever!
- GTKY: What foods can you not wait to eat when baby comes? Coffee! I know they say you can have it, but I haven't chanced it. The Chai Tea isn't cutting it anymore!
- Don't forget about HDBD or PIP your nursery! FX my new rug is here this week and I get curtains, then I'll post a photo. Then we should be 100% completed!

mayflower513 Good luck at your Wednesday appt. so, you C-section is scheduled after your due date—is that because you hope to go naturally but if not then you will have a c-section? Just curious! Haha.
uterusdreams I’ve been eating a lot of lunch meats, just making sure it’s from a trusted source, and fresh. It still worries me though but sometimes I just really really want a ham or turkey sandwich. Good luck on your 3 hour!!!
kristimh80 that’s awesome that you’re almost done with the nursery. We haven’t even started!! Good for you for not drinking coffee. I wouldn’t be able to survive without my iced lattes. Lol
@halips the nursery is so sooo cute!!! Love it!
Everyones talking about moving more and being more active. I gave up but I’m already trying to plan my after C-section recovery exercise and diet routine. So I’m going to do the “Perfect Body” program with Erin Motz from Bad Yogi. IT’s all online so I should have no excuse. https://courses.badyogi.com/product/pbyp/
@Drove2u Ahh an iced latte sounds amazing!! I quit cold turkey b/c MH was paranoid and gave me so much crap about it. Now all the preggos in his office drink it 24/7 so he doesn't care as much. Think I'm at the point where I've made it this far! lol Are you not on 2 week appts now? I told MH I feel like the more appts is like going back to how it was in the RE days.

@kristimh80 I went cold turkey with coffee at the beginning, I actually had a pretty strong coffee aversion so that helped me not miss it. But then within the last month my aversion went away so I've been periodically having some regular coffee - but even though I'm not totally averse to it anymore, it just doesn't taste as good as it used to. So I'm hoping that once baby girl is here, coffee will taste as amazing again as it once did lol
Jumping in as I just hit 28 weeks! I was away from the boards over the holidays because I had a crazy amount of family time (but very enjoyable) but it's good to be back.
@mayflower513 can you add me: Baby boy expected April 1 (April fools!)
How far along? EDD?
28 weeks (April 1)
How is everyone feeling this week?
Feeling good. Reflux also starting up in the last few days... @kristimh80 I agree ice cream helps
Any upcoming appointments?
Had OB check-up this morning. My BP is a bit up (135/80) and I've been noticing it creeping up in the last week or so - I had existing hypertension prior to pregnancy so I have a home monitor. I've had great readings all throughout pregnancy so far, so I'm a bit worried to see it increase now. OB just wants me to keep an eye, and we can up my dose of meds if necessary. I notice she added a biophysical to the requisition for my upcoming growth scan. I'm guessing this is to make sure everything looks okay, but I was a bit annoyed that she didn't tell me she was adding it. It seems early for a biophysical and I would have liked her to explain it to me instead of me having to google it.
GTKY: What foods can you not wait to eat when baby comes?
All the soft cheeses!!

@scikap
My OB said that it's common for BP to start trending up in the last trimester -- just want to make sure it stays below 160/110 which is the point at which they start getting concerned. He put me on some blood pressure medicine to keep it stable and that did the trick until around 35 weeks when they started to suspect pre-E (not just due to the high BP but other labs incl. urine). There are two dx they use- pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) and pre-Eclampsia. You can have PIH without pre-E - and you can have pre-E without PIH (although that's rare).

@mayflower513 I hear you on feeling restless at night! I don’t sleep well at the best of times, and pregnancy really hasn’t helped! Sorry you’re having to pay so much for the ultrasounds!
@uterusdreams If you figure out how to get that kick in the pants to up your activity, let me know!
@kristimh80 What an amazing excuse for ice cream! I’m going to have to use that.
@halips What a cute nursery! Looks awesome.
@Drove2u Welcome! Good for you for planning out a postpartum exercise program! Great idea.
@scikap Welcome! So frustrating when doctors add tests or procedures without explaining what’s going on!
How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling pretty good, though still the same muscle/joint pains. Rolling over in bed at night is quite a challenge now! I'm finding it hard to believe that baby will be here in just over 5 weeks. I don't feel prepared!

kristimh80 awww can you add me on the PAIF FB group? Is it a private group? I’m not open about our issues on social media so don’t want it popping up on someone else’s feed that I wrote in the group or I participate in the group. Thanks!
I feel like we all need to get together for a sushi dinner after the babies are born!
Guys, I just scheduled my C- section—March 18!!! I can’t wait. And my last day commuting in the office will be Feb 14th but I’ll be working from home until March 18. Now I’m just hoping the baby doesn’t come before then.

@scikap yay, welcome! My bp started creeping up slowly right around 28 weeks as well. I'm on 100mg labetalol 2x a day and have been since 12 weeks. I didn't have preexisting hypertension, but noticed it with pregnancy around the 8 week mark. Even with that, my reading yesterday (33w appt) was 140/85. Dr is just having me monitor at home 2x a day still and is watching it closely. He did start NST's at 32 weeks and weekly appts at 31 though, as a result of my bp readings. Hopefully yours is able to remain stable and below the "worry" zone for a while longer.
@darkstar42 good luck with all your appts this week! And I hear you on the rolling over... pretty sure I pulled a muscle in my back trying to roll last night lol
@mayflower513 I don't know how you have as much patience with your dr's as you do! I would have lost it long ago!
@kristimh80 baby must be bumping a nerve up there for you too! Mine is really low in my pelvis, like I have a cell phone on vibrate sitting on my cervix lol It's just such a weird feeling!

@halips thank you!
omg ladies I’m going to lose. my. shit.
The specialist last week was only supposed to be for a growth scan. I asked OB to tell them no biophysical, only growth scan.
@mayflower513 Sounds like they failed to communicate with the billing department what you actually had done / dr never adjusted your service. I'd call and let them know that you were over-billed and what you actually had done. Can you email your nurse, Dr or billing department directly? I know I've emailed the billing dept in the past for items they tried to bill me for that weren't correct and they handled it.

The other thing I would do if they give you push back on recoding it or adjusting it is to review the records and see if there's evidence of all of those things being done. If they were done, I'd see what the doctor's office can do since you were not apprised of all of these extra charges at the time of your appointment (and complain to your insurance as well).If they were not done, that's sorta a big NO-NO and I would point that out to the office staff to see if you can get something that way (before going to insurance). You should be able to get your records, especially if you offer to pick them up yourself.

@kristimh80 what a cute and perfect bump! I love that shirt.
@scikap welcome!
@darkstar42, you're getting so close! Can I ask specifically what you go to acupuncture for? I went when we were just beginning the IVF process, but haven't been in a long time.
Update on me, I did pass the 3 hour glucose test, phew. The nurse said my 1 hour reading was high, but the 2 hour was normal and the 3 hour was low. Told me I should still limit sugar and white flour, which is fine, but I feel like it's pretty normal to have a high 1 hour in this test?? Anyway, I'm just glad I passed!
