Re: Dec 2018 FET

  • @kimberlyshae

Did the bleeding stop?  How are you feeling?

  • @elvedon
The nurse told me that she could see the bleed on the screen and I wasn't finished bleeding yet.  I started back around 3:30 this morning but it wasn't much.  the nurse said my hcg was over 20,000.  I hope that's good.  I'm just praying I see a heartbeat on Tuesday..  but I'm also trying to be realistic at the same time.

@kimberlyshae those numbers sound good.  I hope the scan goes well next week.

    Beta 3 in spoiler
Hcg 292, progesterone 17.6.  So the double time is at about 60 hours.  They're going to test again on Wednesday.

  • 1st Beta tomorrow (1/5) which will be 9 days post transfer.. did a HPT 7 days post and got a BFN. Feeling zero symptoms.. hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
  • @kimberlyshae
    41-93 was 3 days
    93-292 was 4 days
Our doubling time is 60ish hours...so within the 48-72 hour expectation, but still uncomfortable for me.  Only noticable symptoms are still tender vreasts and fatigue.  Only time will tell slwhats going on in there.

    @kimberlyshae
The slight nausea has remained consistent- it’s the only way I would know I’m pregnant. Other than waking to pee every 2 hours at night. I definitely have more insomnia now. I have had random discharge that has old blood every few days when I wipe, but not bleeding since that original episode. I am convinced it’s the vaginal suppositories. This doctor has me using the one that has a long applicator that you stick inside to deposit the suppository. I’m positive that’s what’s irritating my cervix. I go off the suppositories in 3 weeks, so I’ll know if I stop seeing discharge if that was the culprit.

  • @kimberlyshae

I don’t mind it, but I am kind of a mess!  I’m exhausted — and then I have nighttime insomnia + crazy dreams. I haven’t vomited but I have a lot of nausea and bloating/gas/heartburn. I have headaches. My boobs hurt. So much discharge, yuck.  And I feel like all I do is drink water and pee.

It’s probably for the best, though, because I’d rather have symptoms than be irrationally worried about not having symptoms. LOL

Tomorrow I have my first prenatal massage and acupuncture.  I’m not sure it will help but I’ve never complained about a massage!

My follow up ultrasound is the 14th. When are you going back in?  When does your RE release you to your OB?  You’re a little further along than I am so i feel like your experiences are such a helpful heads up and really appreciate you sharing them.

  • @lindsjacobs

I have those same suppositories I think (Prometrium) and yes, I sometimes get a bit of old rusty almost purplish blood after them. I guess that’s what comes of jamming those pills up against your cervix.

  • @elvedon
I go back in tomorrow (Tuesday) to see if we have a heartbeat.  I'll be 7w3d.  The doc wants to sit down and talk to us afterwards so you can tell that he doesn't feel good about tomorrow's appointment.  We only have 1 embryo left after this so I'm really hoping for a miracle tomorrow.

My symptoms are mostly fatigue and tender breasts.  Also heartburn and some stomach upset but I wouldn't go so far as to call it nausea.  Also insomnia, but I think that has more to do with falling asleep on the couch at like 630 every night.  We have another blood test tomorrow to see if our numbers are still rising.

Fingers crossed everything goes well for you tomorrow!

  • TW... Sorry I don't have better news... We lost it. The embryo was barely there. Super tiny and still no heartbeat. D&C scheduled for Friday. We have another option for next protocol which includes doing a different kind of mock transfer where we send off a sample of my uterus for testing. They test like 283 cells to see if there's an issue with my uterus... then on the actual transfer for next time we will do intralipids with an IV.... I have to research that a little more... but that's where we are. Doc asked if I had any good whiskey at home to which I quickly replied Yas!!! And he said drink alot of it. So.... I'm almost done with the bottle. Lol!!!

Best of luck to you ladies!!! I truly wish nothing but the best for you all!! I am taking a few months off and should be back early summer.  <3

  • Update in spoiler

Yesterday's beta was 746, progesterone 16.7.  We're still in the "normal" range but only by a percentage or two.  I could tell the nurse is getting nervous but she said she double checked with the doctor about the rise and he assured her it was in range (but that also means they dont't see these low numbers often).  I have another test to.orrow and an ultrasound on the 18th.

At this point we're not looking beyond the next test/appointment.  Totally expecting bad news on the 18th.

I know it's scary to see low numbers right now but you're in the "normal range."  Try to keep your head up.  Miracles do happen!

  • @lindsjacobs thanks.  Appointment is at 3:45 which seems forever away, but at least by the end of the day we should have clarity.
