  I'm a college professor! I don't have a tenure-track job yet, but that's my dream & I'll be graduating with my PhD in May so I can have a better chance at getting one. I teach lit, research writing, and creative writing.

  I have my degrees in environmental technology and natural resources management, but we decided with DH's job it would make more sense for me to stay home with our daughter. I am also very happy I get the opportunity to do that!

  I work in procurement for several major hotel chains. Currently I manage and train on our contract workflow software, but I was recently offered a new role in the sourcing department negotiating contracts and managing suppliers.

  I'm a physician. This is my last year of fellowship, and I start attending (working without supervision) in July. It's a little scary, but I'm excited.

  We’ve got amazing women in this BMB! I work part time as a therapist. I work with kids and adults that are injured, recovering from surgery, or have disabilities. I’m home with our son the other part.

  I'm a nurse practitioner at an academic cancer center. I just started a new role so I'm feeling a bit awkward and incompetent right now... Another reason I'm hoping the next couple of months fly by.

  So many different backgrounds and a lot of people starting in on new adventures! I work in Privacy, in a role that is very similar to general counsel/legal for a university. I just started in a new position with far more responsibility in Nov, so I’m nervous to let my boss know!

  @omg1108 my daughter has mild autism, she is entering kindergarten (will be in mainstream classroom with some services, trying to get more at this next IEP) this next academic year. Thank you for what you do!

  It is scary, but trust me I’m sure you will have a lot of colleagues and friends you can text for help and assistance. Plus, groups like PMG and the spin off groups (either location and specialty-specific group) can be huge sources of support. You got this!

  I’m a stay at home mom but I run our farm. My husband works away so for a total of seven months out of the year it’s just me running the show. We have horses, cattle, goats, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, Guineas, dogs and cats along with our two kids.

  Sahm to my almost 2 year old son I have a degree in public health and hope to get back to that some day and/or continue on to get a nursing degree. I babysit for a couple of families for extra money and do some contract work for my previous job billing insurance for their services.

  So many teachers here! I was a 5th grade assistant (super hard to get a teaching job where I  from) before DS1 after him I decided to stay home and work part-time. So 3.5 years and 3 kids later I’m mainly a stay at home mom and am a part time “behavioral specialist.” I use the term loosely because I do not have my masters in it yet. I was trained through my district and will be going back to school for my masters to becaome a certified behavioral specialist soon!!

  I love all the teacher and healthcare jobs! I’m a night-shift oncology nurse and my husband teaches/coaches. If there are any other night shifters out there, I’d love to talk to you about what your plans are for childcare in the future! Still trying to figure out if I’ll be able to stay in my current position or if I’ll have to move to a more regular 9-5 nursing job.

  I'm an Operations Manager at a cyber security company and have a team of 10 direct reports. Team Awesome as I call them. I love my job and even though I have only been at the company for just shy of a year and a half, I know I have found my people. My boss (current one at least, I move to a new one at the end of the month  ) already knows about this pregnancy since she has been in the loop on our struggles and has a history of infertility so she's been incredibly supportive and understanding. She's so amazing. I am really going to miss working for her. Thankfully she will still be with the company!

  @dahliasanddogs It’s definitely hard. I’m always exhausted. I have laundry and dishes that are piled up right now that I need to clean. I just have so little energy. Four of my dogs are inside dogs. So between them and the kids, the house is a disaster.

  @omg1108 I went to school for SPED, you are a strong person as are a lot of the women in our group! 
  I am a property manager for a moderately sized apartment community, and I do some other real estate type stuff on the side (leasing & HOA management)

  Wow! There are some badass woman here! So impressed with everyone.
  
  I am a professional pianist and piano teacher. I'm actually freaking out because I have two weeks of performances right in the middle of when morning sickness is most common. Hoping it doesn't hit in the middle of a performance.
