Hey yall! I'm a FTM, but since I posted the FTM thread, I also did the STM one for yall. I included a "Questions for STMs" line in ours, and I was wondering if the STMs would want that to be thread instead? And if so if you'd prefer it be monthly/weekly? OR I figured we all might lurk each others' boards anyway, so we could keep it as a question in the FTM threads if yall would prefer that & you could weigh in there? IDK what's best for the group, but I did it that way at this stage since there aren't so so many of us yet.

I'm not sure how to do a poll, but since there aren't many of us yet, maybe we can take "sense of the room" & go from there? If you don't mind answering this additional query, for organizational purposes, let me know what you think. Thank you!

@kagesstarshroom thanks for posting this! Personally, I like a separate thread- that way ftm can reference easily? Just my two cents

And maybe we can post monthly ? I always remembered loving having the thread in one place, especially as things progress.

I would love to hear what everyone else thinks!

Also, is this thread for stm+ ? I’m just wondering if I can respond

My previous BMB had a ask a STM board(We called it BTDT, as in been there done that. Multiple kiddos totally count). We had about one per trimester. It was sticky and super helpful.

Appointments? 2/4 with my midwife, but hoping for a dating ultrasound before that. The nurse will be calling me sometime in the next few weeks, I guess. I forgot to ask when. (face palm).

Best vacation with just hubby was a Riviera cruise we went on the year after we got married from Cali down to Cabo.

Best vacation with the kids was Disneyland just last month! It was the first time for all of us and we wanted to go before getting pregnant. The timing worked out perfectly!

With DH, honeymoon to all-inclusive in Aruba. With the whole family, two weeks at a house on the beach last summer.

we love a resort in Destin, Florida. It’s on the gulf and the water is gorgeous. There is so much to do as a family, amazing seafood and laid back pace. We love to go every summer

Best vacation was DH and my honeymoon to Toronto. Dream vacay is an Alaska cruise.

@floridababy3, the transition from 2-3 was definitely easier for me than going from 1-2. I am not sure why. I think I was just more relaxed at that point and less stressed about things. Going places with 3 can be a challenge at times, even with DH because we are outnumbered. We've kinda been through it all though, so even the store meltdowns or tantrums are no big deal.

@kdl89, I have a gut feeling this is a girl! Which is strange because I've never had a feeling with any before!

DH and I went to Austin, TX a few years ago and we had THE best time. We always say we would move there if our families would come with us.

Also, Costa Rica with my 3 best friends - that was an amazing trip!

Idk that it’s a feeling but I feel like I’m meant to only have boys, but I think that’s just cuz I’m used to it now with DS. I had a brother so I always thought it would be fun to have two of the same!

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? You guys are making me nervous saying it was difficult going from 1 to 2 haha! My son was a fairly easy baby but he’s a little crazy as a toddler so he’s making up for it!

Appointments? February 4th and it can’t get here soon enough! I’ll be almost 9 weeks by that point.

Questions? Probably a long shot but has anyone had bleeding and then a positive test and successful pregnancy? I feel like one of those crazy google stories where the people have no idea about their cycles... I was doing the CB digital opks but didn’t temp this time around. I am still just floored that I got a positive today!

Our honeymoon in Punta Cana was pretty great! Some of my favorite times are at my grandpas lake cabin in the UP of Michigan, it’s beautiful and there are so many trees

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? Just getting a little nervous for when the nausea and extreme exhaustion of 1st tri hit and how I'll manage with my current kiddo. The husband works late most evenings.

Rants/Raves: Rave- DS is somehow still sleeping a full hour later than usual, allowing for a nice easy going morning so far. Rant-Very anxiously awaiting the results of my second beta... I hope we get good results.

Appointments: pending beta results, likely last week in January

GTKY: Best Vacation- tie between Napa and Caribbean cruises. Dream vacation is a hut over the water in the Maldives. We almost went 2 years ago, but I was early in pregnancy and so we went to Hawaii instead which also fabulous.

@Schumerator I had bleeding early last time and the pregnancy progressed normally. Fingers crossed.

GTKY: What's the best vacation you've ever been on &/or what's your dream vacay? I would have said our sandals honeymoon with butler service but DH and I were lucky enough to take a kidless vacation to the Dominican Republic in October and it was just what we needed! I’m dying to vacation to Fiji, Bora Bora, etc and stay in a hut over the water!!

@kdl89 we were team green last pregnancy and I SWORE it was a boy even swore I kept seeing a penis and it was a girl! Not even going to go there this time hahaha. Quite a few people were shocked when she was born because I was so convincing lol

GTKY: What's the best vacation you've ever been on &/or what's your dream vacay? Really enjoyed our honeymoon in the Maldives as it was our "bucket list" and its an amazing experience, but I think the best vaca we ever took was when we were dating, our first vacation together to the Dominican Republic, stayed at an adults only all inclusive. It was probably because it was our first trip together and we were young, kid & care free but its one of my favorite memories with DH.

Other kiddos/ages: One daughter, 3 and a half. @hanshotfirst77 My daughter will be over 4 years older than this kid. I always wanted kids closer in age, especially since my brother and I were 2 years apart and really close. I'm hoping that if we foster a close family and them being good friends that that will help them feel closer.

Rants/Raves/Dear Diary? My husband made it to the third round of interviews for his dream job. He was super qualified and had a terrific interview. He just found out today that he didn't get the job. He's a little crushed since it was his dream job. And it would have been a big pay bump too, which would have been nice given we just got our BFP a couple days ago.

Appointments? Not yet. The doctor is supposed to call me back at some point today.

GTKY: What's the best vacation you've ever been on &/or what's your dream vacay? My husband and I LOVE going to Las Vegas. We get that it's not for everyone, but we absolutely love going. We've gone 3 times in the past two years.

Was a school thing but I got to spend over a month in Israel, Jordan and Egypt. It was pretty incredible.

Best Vacay: European trip to London, Switzerland and Croatia. We had so much fun and ate so much delicious food!!
Dream Vacay: African Safari & seeing the Victoria Waterfalls in person! DH wants to cage dive with the Great Whites while we’re there also. 😬

@janat1717 Did you visit the Treasury in Petra? Jordan is on my (very long) list of places to visit sometime in my life. The slot canyons there seem other worldly!

@SmrBrd2012 Highly recommend NZ! It is such a great place and everyone is ridiculously nice and chill there!

@lillywonderland I did go there. One of my favorite parts of the trip. No words. One of the best parts was when I told our guide that I knew how to ride horses. Next thing I know I was galloping on a horse through the place with a few bedouins on their horses. Great place just to sit and soak up the vibe too. The whole place was much larger than I realized.

Questions? For moms who can answer this- what’s the hardest transition 1-2 or 2-3? Also, can you fit 3 car seats in most cars? I have an suv but googling hasn’t yielded a good answer

Yes, me. I am usually pretty slim and I’ve put on close to 10lbs, probably water weight. I got a few side eye stares today at the gym but whatever. My body just snapped to it! I’m just going to continue to workout and eat (healthy-ish) and buy comfy clothes
