Re: Newbie Intro w/o 12/31
Ages: DH and I are both 31
Months TTC: 6 months, now taking this month and probably next month off from actively trying
WAYDTGKU: Currently morning, but during our previous months and previous pregnancies using OPKs and good timing worked
Tell is about yourself: DH and I have been married 8 years, he’s in sales and I’m a college counselor (taking this month and next off because early fall would not be ideal to be on maternity leave, but of course it would be a welcome predicament!)
We have a 5 year old daughter (preemie, but you would never know it and she is doing great in kindergarten this year!) and a 3 year old son (high risk pregnancy with some health complications for him, but he was full term and is now doing great as well, thanks to great surgeons and doctors). We are so lucky and blessed by our two kiddos and hope to grow our family again.
Before the kids, our firstborn was our black lab, and she is so sweet and patient with our human kids. As for hobbies, my favorite night out of the month is at cooking club with my girlfriends, and my guilty pleasure is watching all the bachelor franchise shows. I look forward to getting to know all of you better!
How many months have you been TTC?: This will be my first cycle trying for baby #2
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: pre-seed, temping and opks
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): DH and I will be married 5 years this August and we have a 22 month old daughter who was our rainbow baby after *TW* my first pregnancy ended up being a MMC in March of 2016. He is an engineer and I am a dietitian- we also have a cat Reggie who will be 10 this year. While TTC the first time around I was really involved on the TTCAL board and a little bit on TTGP- I was very active on the March 2017 BMB as well. Got the green light from my OB/GYN and endocrinologist so I am excited and nervous to get back on the saddle!!
TW- loss mentioned
Ages (you and SO): We are both 30
How many months have you been TTC?: In our 3rd cycle TFAS
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I have an established history of IF, with irregular periods and a Dx of LPD (luteal phase defect). Last time I had an early loss, but after 15 months I became pregnant with DS on Prometrium. Progesterone alone isn’t lengthening my luteal phase this time, so I’m currently on a Clomid cycle for a better quality corpus luteum, along with B6 daily and Prometrium after ovulation. I also do OPKs and BBT.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): DH and I have been married six years, and our DS is two. We have two dogs and a kitty. I love Zumba, candy, Target, and my job! I’m a Certified Surgical Technologist, and I work in a birthing center.
I hope I can be a helpful and supportive member of this community while I’m here. Thanks for having me!
How many months have you been TTC?: We are actually benched for a few months. After I was fired and we lost insurance I am just now getting it back we have to wait. We were initially going to start trying this month...
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: N/A
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
DH and I have been married for 4 years this year, but we have known each other for 12 years as of this year. We have one daughter, her name is Marguerite, and she is 18 months old. We have one black lab/golden retriever we adopted named Allie. Allis is, ironically, 18 months old as well. (She was born 3 days before my daughter) I am a certified medical assistant, and DH is becoming an electrician while being a laborer. I really don't have hobbies because work and my daughter are pretty much my everything LOL.
I have been on here before, deleted my account but wanted to come back as I found this community helpful, and honestly a stress relief since I don't really have friends IRL.
ETA: I will most likely be just a lurker for the next few months since I really won't have anything to update.
How many months have you been TTC?: 8. I naively hadn’t expected to be ttc for so long, and now I’m mad at myself that I hadn’t started trying earlier.
What are you doing to get knocked up?: opk & watching CM...I didn’t realize how many products and extra steps were out there until I started lurking around here a week ago. (I’ve spent a lot of time pouring—and crying—over signs and symptoms of related topics, but I hadn’t thought to search for a forum.)
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I was teaching English in middle and high school until I became a SAHM with my dd who is 22 months old.
I like painting, and I’ve recently been trying my hand (and patience) at sewing.
I’m nervous about adding a post, but it’ll be nice to feel like I’m not alone. I haven’t shared IRL that we’ve been trying, so my family likes to put on the pressure. They also like to check to see what I’m drinking too in case they can call me out. Honestly, I think a lot of DH and my troubles probably stem out of stress, so hopefully this helps.
So, hi, everyone! *waves*
@begging4abump welcome! Once I hit the 6-8 month mark of TTC I definitely wished we had started sooner too but I didn't want to be pregnant during my sister's wedding in 2017. Hope your stay is short!

How many months have you been TTC?: DH finally got on board with the idea of TTC so we're coming up on month 2
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: pre-seed, temping, and using the OVIA fertility app. I just ordered "Taking Charge of your Fertility" so I'm hoping to learn much more!
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): DH and I have been married for 2 1/2 years. We don't have any kids yet-unless you count fur babies! We have 2 dogs and a cat. I work at a Credit Union (where I'm currently the acting Branch Manager) so I'm hoping stress from work won't affect TTC too much. I've lurked before but hoping to become a little more active on here too because we also haven't really told people that we're trying and it's nice to talk to others in the same boat!
How many months have you been TTC?: Just started
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: We are right now NTNP, but will probably purchase some OPKs for my next cycle. Considering whether to temp this time around, as I don't get a good night sleep and wake ups are all over the place.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): This is my 3rd time around TTGP. I'm an education admin and have two kids (4 and 2). My husband decided he was ready to have another with the new year. I have irregular periods, so my cycles can range from normal to long (around 7 weeks as this one currently is, but non-PCOS), so right now we're NTNP probably waiting for my period and then I will start with paying more attention. It's good to be back and looking forward to getting to know the ladies better!
