Re: Week 4 Check-in 1/2

  • Due date: 3/25

Any appointments? Questions?: Saw my OB this morning and everything is good.  BP was doing okay and LO's HR was around 130.  She said it slows once the neurological development advances around this stage.  We briefly discussed delivery and I'll be having a c-section, tentatively at 39 weeks.  This of course was not what I had hoped for but at this point there is absolutely NO WAY I can mentally handle the challenges I may face if I opt for a vaginal delivery.  I still need to meet with anesthesia but at least I know which route we'll be going.

Rants/Raves: Rant - I got really sick the day after Christmas.  Headache, swollen tonsils, congestion, coughing and asthma flare, body aches, major fatigue.  Needless to say I spent a 1/2 day Thursday and all day Friday at my hospital's Ambulatory Diagnostic & Treatment Unit (Basically between and urgent care and an emergency room facility), then on Saturday they ended up directly admitting me to the hospital because my oxygen level dropped to 89% and my white blood count doubled following 3 courses of iv antibiotics.  I think my body hates me.  Rave:  My dad took me to all the doctor's visits, stayed with me as needed and went with me to the hospital when they admitted me as well.  I'm so thankful for him being there!

How are you feeling?: Still very tired and having breathing problems but not like I was.  LO definitely seems to be growing and it's so weird how it feels so different every couple of days.

GTKY: What is your New Year's Resolution? I didn't make a resolution this year.  I just need to focus on the basics right now to get through this year.

Any appointments? Questions?: I have my 28 week appt on Friday. I will also be getting the rhogam(sp?) Shot. I'm told it's not so fun. On a bright side we get to do a growth check scan at 28, 32, and 36 weeks due to blood pressure risks. Excited to see bump a few more times

Rants/Raves?: Never had heartburn in my.life until now. Now it's about to kill me.

How are you feeling?: I'm noticing I'm more irritable some days. For the most part I'm just tired. Ove had brief sciatic problems which I'm hoping stay minor. It's all on my left side and bump stays on the left pushing down into my hip.

GTKY: What is your New Year's Resolution? Didnt really make one this year. There is so much going on and so much that still needs to get done before March. If anything I should work on not stressing so much this year.

  • @Bride2b1213 I've had a rhogam already this pregnancy and honestly it wasn't that bad. It burned going in but it was fast.  I hear you on the heartburn front too!

  • Due date: 3/29 - ah only 12ish weeks to go!

Any appointments? Questions?: 28 week appointment tomorrow full of shots and the glucose test  Here's hoping I pass, going to eat "GD friendly" today the best I can and maybe I can cheat the test LOL

Rants/Raves?: Raving about 2yo DD who is slowly turning a corner with potty training! She got out of the bathtub not once but TWICE on Tuesday to go potty and she even pooped! She's never done that for us before, so extremely excited & hopeful that we're turning a corner!

How are you feeling?: Overall feeling pretty good, my back is usually sore by the end of the day but I've been able to stay active like I was hoping to and I think that's done wonders for my overall mood. Noticed my hormones have been a bit all over the place to the point I'm driving myself crazy how easily irritated or easily upset I get.

GTKY: What is your New Year's Resolution? Didn't make a resolution but set a focus word for the year and some small goals I'd like to achieve throughout all of 2019. My focus word is prioritize as I know this will be important as we shift from a family of 3 to a family of 4. I need to make sure to prioritize where I can whether that means family time, chores/housework, or self-care. Small goals for 2019 include reading 35 books, read the entire Harry Potter series (I never actually finished it as a kid), work on a family/household budget, clean my closet & dressers, organize our storage room....all "fun" tasks ;)

  • Due date: 29

Any appointments? Questions?: regular appointment next week

Rants/Raves?: I’ve been enjoying a relaxing winter break, and I’m not looking forward to working again on Monday.

How are you feeling?: Tired...lower back pain and some pain in my hips and back when sleeping. Acid reflux can get bad, but is definitely connected to my diet so I’m just trying to avoid certain foods.

GTKY: What is your New Year's Resolution? I also haven’t made an exact resolution. This is our first so basically this year will involve learning how to be a patient and caring mother.

  • Due date: March 24

Any appointments? Questions?: Not until the 8th. Passed my glucose test, so yay!

Rants/Raves?: Rant: I've been so busy I've completely neglected the board. Trying to catch up and pop back in on a better schedule. Due to the holidays and work and traveling, I've struggled to keep up. Rave: DD *might* be making an improvement on potty training! Seems to know when she needs to go and will tell us.

How are you feeling?: Like a punching bag.

GTKY: What is your New Year's Resolution? Be better at meal prepping. The amount of money I spent last year on dining out was appalling, and I even made a more conscious effort than 2017. I want to get back to weightlifting after this little guy is born, but no specific goals; I will take it easy for a while to ease back into it.

  • Due date: 3/28

Any appointments? Questions?: Last Friday ws reg OB w/ glucose test. Nothing else til next Friday.

Rants/Raves?: Happy the nursery is finally almost finished. Rant: Acid reflux lately has been no joke! Last night I ate too much and MH made pasta with red sauce. I didn't think I'd ever get any relief.

How are you feeling?: Overall pretty good. Feeling like there's no room left in there.

GTKY: What is your New Year's Resolution? No real resolution. Just mainly to be happy all around. Looking forward to finally being a mama :)
