  • Due date/W+D: Due 5/5, so 22w, 1d today

Baby is the size of a(n): coconut

Any appointments? Questions?: I had an abdominal ultrasound this last week, not to look at baby, but to check out my spleen because of my weird platelet counts. Spleen looks normal, but my platelets are still slightly high... less extreme than they were though, so that's good.

Rants/Raves?: My kids are playing so nicely together right now. I've been in the kitchen baking cookies because I need to feed my feelings after a miserable trip to the grocery store, and they have just been happily playing together. It was quiet a bit ago, so I went to peek at them because usually quiet is a bad sign, and they were snuggled up together in DH's armchair and DD1 was reading DD2 a book. My icy heart melted. (Of course, right after I typed this, they were screaming and pulling on each other over nothing).

How are you feeling?: I've been mostly fine, but my abs (?) have been getting sore at the end of the day. I don't remember this happening with my other kiddos, but the discomfort is real, so I'm probably going to break down and buy one of those ridiculous pregnancy support belts.

GTKY: Do you have a New Years resolution? If so, what is it? I'm hoping to lose weight after this baby is born, but that's too far off to be a resolution, so I'll say I will try to relax and be less uptight.

Baby is the size of a(n): a party hat

Any appointments? Questions?:  We had our check up last week.  All is well, though fundal height is a bit behind per how many weeks I am.  Probably why I feel like my insides are gonna fall out my vagina when I walk or stand too much 😭

Rants/Raves?: My husband was finally able to feel her kicking around. Hopefully big sis will be patient enough to feel her soon too!

How are you feeling?:  I feel pretty good with some energy finally.  Like I mentioned above, baby is hanging really low so feeling a ton of pressure on my pelvis/crotch area after standing or walking for a short time.

GTKY: Do you have a New Years resolution? If so, what is it?
I’ve never done a New Years resolution so I am not gonna break that streak this year!  Hasta 2018, on to 2019!
  • Due date/W+D: May 4th/22w+5

Baby is the size of a(n): coconut/guinea pig/as tall as a Mr. Potato Head

    Any appointments? Questions?: nada.

Rants/Raves?: I’m thankful for the next 6 days I have off until school starts again. I have been working my butt off ski instructing the last week (outside of Christmas Day) and haven’t had a day off since the 16th of December. It feels so nice to just spend time with the fam for a moment.

How are you feeling?: Good outside of my belly being sore. Skiing for the past week has made me a bit more sore in my core than I’m used to. My students the last two days were great at falling down but not so great at standing up. 😂

GTKY: Do you have a New Years resolution? If so, what is it? Over the past couple weeks I’ve decided to think more positively in general about DH and the effort he’s putting in at home. I have been really getting down about him lately and I don’t want to spiral anymore as I see him starting to try more, but I haven’t been expressing my gratitude toward it. Not so much as resolution as I’ve been working on this for a couple weeks, but more of a perspective change.

Baby is the size of a coconut

Apt./questions- just my regular OB next week, have to wait until the end of the month to see the high risk dr. Hoping he will take me off pelvic floor rest!

Raves/Rants- I finally got my semester grades and all went well! Plus next week is my babymoon massage!!!! My rant is that after 19 weeks of throwing up, my libido and my energy are finally back, but I'm on pelvic floor rest. Super obnoxious :p

How are you feeling? Pretty good, I'm off the nausea meds and eating regularly.

GTKY- Honestly, I forgot to decide on a resolution. I was too focused on surviving and wrapping up 2018 lol.

Any appointments? Questions?: nothing until the 14th

    Rants/Raves?: none

How are you feeling?: okay, dh and I have had colds for a couple weeks and still have pretty bad coughs at night but hopefully it gets better soon

GTKY: Do you have a New Years resolution? If so, what is it? We didn’t make any this year! Although we plan to start actually budgeting and sticking to it... so maybe that’s our resolution!

Any appointments? Questions?: appointment with the midwife on Friday

Rants/Raves?: We discovered the window in our spare room wasn't sealed properly and since it's rainy season in Washington the drywall from the window down on that entire side of the room is soft. There was standing water in the corner of the room, not enough to ruin the hardwood we just refinished last December though thankfully. When my hubs pulled the framing around the window down he punched a hole in the wall and we discovered the reason that rooms always so cold is there is no insulation. So my kitchen remodel will never be done at this rate. New priority is gutting, drying, insulating and refinishing that bedroom.

How are you feeling?: pretty good!

GTKY: Do you have a New Years resolution? If so, what is it? I've never made resolutions. Bring on 2019!

  • @fuscok88 what a bummer about the bedroom! Hoping something magical happens and a kitchen remodel can still be in your future.

@nuggetmama369 ugh on the pelvic rest but YAY! You are feeling better! That’s huge and I hope it’s smooth sailing once you see the high-risk doc.
  • @MaggieG183 thanks! The kitchen just keeps getting pushed back. It's probably 60% done already which is why it's frustrating. All the cabinets are in except the sink side because my husband is making custom concrete countertops and we can't put the new sink in without them since it's cast iron and we can't be sinkless lol. Really it's just a long weekend of work we just keep having other household updates take priority. I just want a dishwasher 😂😂😂

Any appointments? Questions?: Just a checkup next week after going to L&D day before yesterday for a scare (more below).

Rants/Raves?:  I feel terrible saying this... I'm so relieved the holidays are over.  They always feel really overwhelming and I'm glad to just be back to a normal schedule.

How are you feeling?:  Much better than a few days ago... I had a lot of pain in my lower abdomen, and had really dark urine.  I was freaked out.  I went to L&D because I was worried about preterm contractions, they checked everything and no contractions and the little guy sounded great, but I had protein in my urine.  They ran some tests and said it may have been an infection, but now everything feels totally fine now.  TMI - right after my pelvic exam a little dark thing came out in my urine, and now it's clear again.  So they think maybe it was just something that irritated my system.  It was scary though, and I'm thankful that everything seems back to normal.  I felt crazy but the OB there said I did the right thing coming in.

GTKY: Do you have a New Years resolution? If so, what is it?  I don't know, nothing too elaborate - just to handle my anxiety better, I think.

  • @mrsdee15 what a scary start to the new year! I'm glad everything is ok with you and little one!
  • @fuscok88 Thank you!  Definitely relieved.  I'm so sorry to hear about your remodeling issues - we had some issues with random wet drywall, but it was also in our kitchen.  No rhyme or reason to it.  I hope that all gets settled for you soon and you can do the kitchen!

  • @mrsdee15 how scary! I’m so glad you went in as protein in your urine is not good when given high blood pressure, etc. I’m glad the OB on-call validated your move to go to L&D too. So glad everything is ok!

Baby is the size of a(n): coconut, if I remember correctly

Any appointments? Questions?: OB appointment in two weeks; I posted in the anatomy scan thread, but this baby is head up and her kicks feel so weird in my lower abdomen. It feels like gas, or like I'm about to have to poop real bad. Very interesting.

Rants/Raves?: I had another yeast infection. ugh. pregnancy glam over here. Sucks that pregnant women are only supposed to do the 7 day treatment. So annoying, but I hope I have no more. I'm not sure if it's pregnancy hormonal related, or the fact that I had to take a bleach bath (for unrelated dermatological issues) a while back and I killed good bacteria along with the bad, thus allowing the yeast to take over.

    How are you feeling?: GREAT!

GTKY: Do you have a New Years resolution? If so, what is it? I don't make resolutions. If there's something I want to change, I'll just take a stab at it whenever.
