Talk me off the ledge

I'm 6 weeks based off my last period date. I did not receive a positive test until I was a week late. I got my hcg level back today and its only at 146. Even if I did ovulate late I feel like this number is still crazy low.

My tests really dont seem to be changing. I went for the 2nd draw today, it'll be an agonizing wait to get a call.

    QFP.

@lockhartr87 It is against Bump guidelines to post a picture of your pregnancy test. The only place you can post pictures of tests is in the First Trimester board in the thread "What does a positive pregnancy test really look like?". We also don't typically start threads about ourselves as most questions and discussions fall within topics already started on this board. If you would like to stick around and participate in these discussions, I would suggest first introducing yourself in the Intro thread.

In relation to your question, a 146 means pregnant and if you're not sure of your dating, wait until your second draw and let your doctor tell you what it means.

  • @lockhartr87 Sorry you feel that way but I didn't say anything that wasn't already stated in the Do/Don't section of the thread that says "**Read First** Board Organization" thread.

  • @lockhartr87 I take a different view. You are asking for support. That is what I thought these boards were about. As someone who has previously gone through a loss it can be hard to be positive when the numbers don’t go the way you think that they should. That being said as long as your numbers are rising take a step back and celebrate the fact that you are pregnant. Hcg at that number tells us you definitely are!! So I am sending you positive baby vibes. Try not to stress ( I know easier said than done) but try to enjoy each step. Worrying won’t change the numbers. Good Luck!

  • @wabash15 for us silly uninitiated newbies, what does gbcb stand for?

And why are people acting like someone is the worst person for requesting adherence to board guidelines? It's super irritating...
  • @deecherise it stands for "good-bye cruel bump"

@lockhartr87 @MollyH1987 was very nice and gave you good advice. Step off the ledge and don't be rude when your the one who didn't read the rules. You ovulated later than you think, you have a solid first beta, follow up with a second to ensure its doubling appropriately.
